Mama Shelter Lisboa

I LOVE MAMAS LISBON. I planned this trip as our second visit but this time for a very special occasion on my 40th birthday. We absolutely loved everything about our stay. At first we had some troubles with our room. But the staff was on it and arranged a solution for us in the best way possible. We needed laundry service and even if they don't have that during the weekends the solved it for us the same day. Just exceptional service through and through. I had a lovely surplice in my room at arrival and the staff greeted us with names the whole stay. I don't remember the name of the 2 specific girls working in the reception but i want to give them a massive thank you. Mamas is nothing without you girls and you really took care of us. Also Sergio and the staff where amazing during breakfast and lunch. Gave us special tips what to do in Lisbon and really took care of us. The rooftop bar was awesome. Really great drinks made by Bartenders and awesome music. I also got proposed to during the stay so Mamas will forever be in our hearts. Highly recommend this amazing place and their amazing service. Mamas I Love you and thank you again. Cant wait to be back soon again.

Everything was amazing

This hotel was in an incredibly location. Really easy to get to from the train station and airport and a great start to explore the city. The hotel has a really cool vibe, with awesome interiors. The rooftop bar was especially incredible and beautifully decorated with plants. We only ate downstairs to grab lunch on our last day but the pizza was delicious. Our room was very clean and quiet and such comfy beds - we slept so well.

We felt our room was lacking some basic things but these were pretty minor and didn't affect our stay. We were in a twin room and yet there was only one hook in the bathroom to hang towels and again only one hook in the hallway to hang coats. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room, which would have been a nice addition and only a shampoo bar provided in the shower - wasn't great on the hair but understand the environmental reasons why they have introduced this - maybe refillable bottles of shampoo and conditioner instead?

The staff was great - especially the reception staff from all shifts. Shoutout to Margarita who was also there during our last stay and was super helpful and always a pleasure to deal with. The restaurant also has good options for an afforable but high quality business lunch, and usually turns into a bar with a small party at night which is also nice.

I actually really like this hotel, just wish the rooms were a bit bigger as it can get quite tight

Room was super clean and a good size for a city location. The atmosphere and decor at the hotel is great - characterful and cosy! The rooftop and downstairs bars were lively and the rooms were quiet. Best of both worlds. We had everything we needed - only needed the reception desk for checkin and checkout.

No plug sockets by the mirror in the bedrooms. Rooftop bar prices were expensive for Lisbon. London prices in Lisbon is a shame. No snacks on the rooftop bar menu. Breakfast was expensive - between the 10-15 euro marker would be more appropriate.

We booked a small double room but hadn’t appreciated quite how small it was and that there wouldn’t be any drawers for putting clothes. Just a small hanging rail with three hangers. Roof top bar was too busy with people not staying in hotel so it was impossible for us to use on one evening.

Excellent location walkable to a train/metro stop connecting two lines, and within easy reach of restaurants, shopping, and grocery stores. The front desk staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. The bed was comfortable and the shower was very nice. There were often long queues to get into the building for parties (see below) but I was allowed to bypass them by showing that I was staying at the hotel. I suppose if you wanted to go to the parties it would be very convenient to have them in your own hotel!

There were frequent parties on the rooftop, which was very close to my room on the top floor. I wasn't warned or asked about this when booking or checking in, and in my case I ended up keeping late hours anyway, but it could be a real problem for some travelers. I suppose this is why they have "can I get a quiet room" in their FAQ. Due to these parties, there is often a large crowd around the entrance to the building in the evening. It would have been helpful for the staff to explain that I didn't need to wait in this line; I didn't wait in it, but it was confusing the first time I encountered it. Laundry services were advertised but there was no indication of price, so I assumed them to be very expensive. I feel they should post a price list online somewhere.

Great neighborhood, beautiful roof terrace, staff was very helpful and friendly, clean, and overall very fun and cool hotel.

Bed mattress was soft to the point I was barely able to sleep. Keep in mind that this is a personal preference, my friend had no issues since she prefers her mattress that way. We both had issues with the comforter that is more suitable for wintertime.

The hotel was situated at a perfect distance from the busier areas of Lisbon, being only 5-10mins walk from everything! The staff were so lovely, helpful and welcoming - especially with giving recommendations. The hotel has a beautiful restaurant and rooftop bar so it was always busy and lively! Perfect perfect stay for a weekend in Lisbon - I highly recommend

Nothing at all - maybe a coffee machine in the room. Room was slightly snug but was fine for me!

What an amazing hotel! Great vibe at the restaurant, staff extremely friendly, great value for money. Practical, comfortable and super well located :)

The decoration in the hotel was amazing, really different and quirky we loved the terrace, it was such a great place to have a couple of drink before or after heading out for a late dinner the room was very spacious and had everything you needed

the room was a little warm as the AC turns off when leaving the room for the day as the key card gives the room the electric. But everything else was amazing
