Lumen Hotel & The Lisbon Light Show

The facilities are superb: modern, new, clean, stylish, and comfortable! The location is great, too - it is no more than 2km away from all the main sights. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. Also, since we read that some people complained about the voucher system - it is great! If you choose not to get your room cleaned you get a €5 voucher to spend at the hotel (e.g. 2 glasses of beer (worth €6) for €1 - what's not to like!)

During check-in, we were asked whether we wanted to pay for breakfast for our entire stay (6 days) and only pay €8 per person (the regular price €16). We wanted to try the breakfast first and then decide, but that was not an option, so we only paid for 1 day. And thank god we did that because breakfast was beyond disappointing: all fruit - stale, bacon - cold, eggs - overcooked, pastries - average. The hotel also offers lunch and dinner but we didn't try it because of this horrible breakfast experience. Hotel staff were not the best, mostly absent-minded and disorganised. Also, there's a construction site next to the hotel so it is very noisy in the morning.

To begin with,the facilities and the interior design was impressive!The hotel offers a plenty of amenities like gym,spa,roof garden and pool all of them in great condition and the restaurant of the hotel with the light shows is something really unique that you havebto see it dyring your stay.The breakfast was really the best i ve ever eaten in a hotel.Finally,the best part was the staff which was always polite and ready to help you. Nice work!

The view by the room could be better but the location was really helpful.

The location of the hotel is very convenient - not quite in the center (which is good), but not far away. The nearest metro station is less than a minute away. Marquês de Pombal is only a 10-minute walk away. Wonderful staff, especially at the reception. A very solid breakfast. Quite a spectacular Light Show in the evening. We had room 413 for two - a very clean room, equipped with everything necessary.

The only inconvenience was the inability to open the windows to get fresh air and ventilate the room. This is in no way a complaint and has nothing to do with either the staff or the service, it's just that the hotel was designed that way. Of course, there is an air conditioning in the room, but this is not exactly the same.

We chose Lumen hotel our 1st stay based on location to airport. Although not the closest to the airport it was easy access. However, our 2nd stay we chose the hotel based on our first experience. The hotel staff goes above and beyond. Both times we stayed I contacted the hotel and received prompt responses. While at the hotel the staff did everything tgey could to make our stay comfortable and accommodate our needs. On our last stay we needed early check-in and a very late check out. Both were no problem. Every time we saw a staff member they greeted us with a smile. Even at 5 am when we check out (our 1st stay) the staff was happy. Breakfast was worth the price with many options. Our 1st stay they walked us through the breakfast area showing us al the food and letting us know what we could ask for. On our 2nd stay there were not as many people so breakfast was made to order. Stil just as many options. We could eat in restaurant or our room. I would stay here again and recommend.

The hotel is amazing. The rooms are big, the stuff very professional. The every night light show, wonderful. Everything was great!

The piscine is quite small and if you don't wake up early, it's hard to find a sunbed, there are like 10 sunbeds in total. The restaurant is closed from 3 pm till 7 pm as in so much other places in Lisbon, they have siesta.

I have to admit that I am quite hard to please in terms of city hotels as I am quite sensitive to noise at night and most of the places in Southern Europe especially don't lay much or very little emphasis on sound-insulating rooms. - Well, this one was very different as most of the rooms are oriented towards the quiet inner courtyard of the hotel. - Plus every night at 22:00 there is a beautiful 12 min light show featuring the history and culture of Lisbon which you can watch from your hotel room or even better from the courtyard's inner space itself - which I would highly recommend. - The hotel rooms themselves are spacious and modern, the comfort of the bed is one of the best I ever had in a hotel! - To top it all, there's a roof-top terrace and a pool with a wonderful view over Lisbon! - Breakfast is very rich and diverse too!

When you open the window and then close it after a couple of minutes the air conditioner starts to activate itself automatically. - You can turn it off though.

The pool was closed, and that information wasn't on booking.com This was the reason we choose this hotel an no other. Dissapointed to find the pool was closed. Please include this info in the future.

The executive lounge we had access to was not cleaned for 2 days. No fresh water and snacks during that time. On other days the lounge in which we worked daily was only fully cleaned during the aftertoon.

The hotel is new, the suite was great, breakfast yummy with plenty of food for different tastes and dietary preferences. The pool, though small, is a little heaven on the roof. Location is great, the more touristic aereas nearby by tube or by foot.

Beautiful light show in the evenings. Delicious breakfasts. Clean new hotel. Good gym for training. Rooftop pool and bar. Good cleaning of the room. If you cancel the cleaning, you get a voucher for 5 euros, you can use it in the restaurant or bar. Everything is fine, our recommendations!

The hotel was very nice and modern, rooms are clean and well equipped. We received complimentary pastries and soft drinks on arrival which was a nice touch. The breakfast was great, with a good variety and local pastries. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and all spoke English. The location was great, right by the metro and a 25 mins walk from the historic centre. There are plenty of sights, restaurants, and shopping options near the hotel. Overall a very pleasant stay.
