TURIM Saldanha Hotel

this hotel is modern, comfortable and chique. the staff are incredible and the rooms large and filled with everything you need. we originally thought it was more of a “business” hotel but we found ourselves surrounded by many other couples and families. we were also positively surprised by the neighborhood as we thought we would have to go into old town all the time for breakfast, dinner etc, but this area offers many great brunch spots, restaurants, parks and supermarkets with a bonus of course that it is less touristy and busy here. the center is only a short metro or taxi ride away!

I enjoyed the check in process. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I loved our room. It was gorgeous spacious, very clean. The hotel is located in a prime area, which helped in exploring Lisbon. Lots of cafes, shops nearby and metro stations within a few hundred metres from the hotels door.

The room wasn't very soundproof. I could hear everything from the rooms either side to ours and the hallway, as there was constant bumps or heavy trolleys passing through. It was annoying. The TV remote in our room wouldn't work. It would turn the TV on but the rest of the keys didn't work. Couldn't change the channel or output from its default screen. The Wi-Fi also kept dropping in and out during our stay.

Very friendly staff, and excellent location in a good area of Lisbon. Room was clean and tidy. Great choice if you want a nice hotel for a few days while you explore the city!

The room we stayed in needed a few maintenance touch ups, mainly in the bathroom and wardrobe due to normal wear and tear, but for it to stay to the standard of everything else in the hotel it would be good to keep on top of it. Also not the best sound proofing. Our room was on top of the entrance and we could hear conversations happening just below.

The hotel facilities are modern and very clean. Location is central enough and there are Metro stations and bus stops within a short walking distance. There’s also cafés/restaurants, an ALDI and a pharmacy nearby. More importantly, the major sights in Lisbon are minutes away. Staff are also very friendly. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to friends who plan on going to Lisbon!

Power outlets next to the beds would have been perfect. Other than that, I could not think of any cons about TURIM Saldanha.

The staff was amazing and very flexible to give us solutions to the water cut they suddenly had, they even booked for us rooms in another hotel just in case that was needed. Also the rooms are very well isolated, it doesn’t sound any noise from the street or the corridor.

The bathroom is small for a twin room, one of the rooms had drainage smell however the stuff relocated us to another room, and sometimes it smells like tobacco but I think that’s not the hotel’s fault, it’s just the AC ducting is connected and someone smoked in another room even if it’s forbidden.

Really good value for a last minute price. Nicely furnished, clean and tidy rooms, comfortable beds, nice bathroom. Kind, polie and helpful staff at every period of the day. Several metro station and other public transport within 5-10 minutes walk. And I loved the in-built music system within the whole room/bath! That was an extra :)

The surrounding is mostly populated with office buildings, so the real beatuy of Lissabon was a bit further away.

Staff extremely helpful and service oriented; always kind and informative. Good room size, nicely decorated and didn't feel crowded. Location is good. Not far from town centre. Easily accesible. Bus line to and from airport and main Square. Also metro nearby. Good availability of parking both on the street (metered) and privately (Hotel premises). Everything was clean except for some moulds on the bathroom ceiling. Surprisingly quiet despite the fact that we got the room right in front of the elevator. Good fresh fruit and excellent coffee available as part of a very rich and varied breakfast.

Some mould on the bathroom ceiling. Could improve the pillow options maybe . (Just to mention something... as me and my family were satisfied with the stay)

The breakfast was very good, except for the coffee. It was nice to have proper sausages. Lots of choice and very nice. Nice hot shower with good pressure. The staff were very professional and nice

The furnishings are beginning to show signs of wear. Only having one small bottle of shampoo and shower gel for 2 people, although there were 2 bars of soap, and a bottle of body lotion. Body lotion really isn't needed, would have preferred more shampoo and shower gel instead.

Great place, enjoyable stay. The rooms are clean and spacious with big balcony. The hotel is close to Metro station 'Picoas', many restaurants, supermarkets, walking distances to Calouste Gulbenkian Museum, Igreja Sao Sebastiao da Pedreira and the shopping mall El Corte Ingles. The staff in this Hotel were helpful and friendly. I especially want to thank Marica who helped the check-in, check-out and luggage storages. She is cheerful, helpful and professional.

All of the staff, from the front desk, to the dining room and the housekeeping staff, were exceptional. They were friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The rooms were a good size and had comfortable beds, and the bathrooms had a good collection of essential toiletries. There is also a computer for guest use in the lobby (which I found helpful for doing my online check-in with the airline). I stayed there multiple times on the same trip, so it became my 'home base'. They safely stored my luggage for me when I went on side trips and welcomed me as if I were family, when I returned. I would definitely stay there again.

The location has a few restaurants nearby, but you do have to walk/taxi/Uber to get to the main sight-seeing areas. It wasn't too bad, and taxis/Ubers are inexpensive.
