Good price and quality value, friendly and helpful staff, simple and compact but stylish room, airconditiong, breakfast included, short walking distance to many Alfama and Graca sites. The hotel was great value, though the area was restless.

Good for couples and male travelers, but not most suitable area for lonely female travelers (lots of immigrants, harassing and pickpockets), wouldn't recommend walking alone late at night. Also due to steep, cobblestoned streets not suitable for people with walking issues, people with wheel chair, families with small children (strollers).

the hotel was lovely and clean. It was comfortable and relaxing and the staff in general were very helpful and friendly. the hotel was quiet and had clean towels and bedding on offer. the balcony had lovely views of the castle and cathedral which was really pretty in the sun. the breakfast was decent, it was enough to keep you going for the morning without having to frantically look for breakfast/brunch places each morning

the room was smaller then i thought, it was advertised as a double room however there was simply not enough room for 2 people in that room and there was no wardrobe or proper facilities to store luggage and clothing. I was in the double room on my own so it was ok, but with 2 people it would have been difficult to move around the room or have space. The room had a balcony and i was expecting something where i would be able to sit outside, but there was only room to stand.

Nice, good sized room - it was modern and the bed was super comfortable. Great that the hotel has a lift. The outdoor breakfast space was cute and the breakfast itself was nice enough - had a few options between continental and hot food. The bathroom was modern and had nice towels. And our room was cleaned daily. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. And the hotel felt pretty central to most sights.

The area felt a bit sketchy with lots of men, some clearly on drugs, hanging around on the street leading up to the hotel. All in I think I'd go to a different area of Lisbon next time. For the hotel itself, the bathroom didn't provide much privacy - it's separated from the room by a frosted glass panel. And it would've been good to have a place to put toiletries in the shower.

I did like: - the room and hotel were very clean - the breakfast was delicious (I would have loved more vegetables) - the stuff behaved nicely - the nice AC in the room - the location (close to the city centre) - the bed was comfy - the shower was nice

I did not like: - the streets around the hotel were very dirty with a lot of shady people, especially at night - the AC does not have a remote control, so everytime you wanted to change something you needed to get out of bed - there were no nets at the door and window - the walls and door are very thin - you can hear every sound from the outside - the room was pretty small and it didn’t have a wardrobe, but that didn’t bother us at all

The hotel itself is really nice, the rooms are modern and pretty.

- The location, at night it didn’t feel safe to walk around as a girl. One night we got back later and there were some junkies around doing their stuff. It would be nice to sleep with open doors but there was always some noise due to singing neighbors and drunk people in front of the hotel. - The breakfast was mediocre, the only good thing at the buffer were the croissants but sadly they didn’t offer them every day. They should also offer an option without breakfast because it’s not worth it at all. - One front desk member doesn’t even care if there are some guests coming/going. Never looks up her phone and doesn’t greet anyone.

The design of the hotel is really nice, but more then this the Breakfast was amazing, a big variety of food and sweets, good coffee. The AC could be turned in heat as well, it was a great experience overall. The room was not big, but in the end you go there to sleep and to enjoy Lisbon and for that is more then perfect. The Hotel was super clean, they were changing towels and making the bed every single day!

The neighborhood was not the best, but I would say that there were NO problems. the location for Lisbon was good, because we were close to everything, but the variety of cultural next to the hotel was not nice.

Great breafkast - we stayed in 4 different hotels in Portugal throughout our 2 weeks trip and Mouraria Lisboa Hotel had the best breakfast out of all of them. Very nice staff! Super attentive and full of smiles :) Very clean rooms. Visually nice interior. Close to center, you can walk to many good locations right from the hotel without taking a taxi. I might stay in this hotel again if I visit Lisboa in future.

Bit smaller room than what we expected from the photos. Bit loud and fishy group of people outside, but they didn't bother us so it's fine. Bit hard to take out the luggage from taxi upon arrival because of the uphill road, but hey - Lisboa is full of uphill roads so that is fine too.

Staff were very friendly and room was spotless. And aircon was perfect and well needed after a long day in the sun.

The location of it at night the streets are abit dingy and dark but that can’t be helped. Even though the location was perfect in some sense just passed the metro station and near the tram. Just didn’t fell 100% safe during the night time.

Very nice small hotel and very clean rooms, comfortable bed, nice and modern design. Everything seemed quite new and fresh. Breakfast was very good, particularly enjoyed the coffee. Great location, less than 10 minutes from metro station and 10-15 minutes walking distance from major viewpoints like Portas de Sol, Graca or Senhora do Monte. Small shops nearby for buying water or small souvenirs, at good prices. Probably would stay here again if back to Lisbon.

Our room was quite small and did not have a wardrobe, we lived out of the suitcase. The neighborhood has an authentic vibe and seemed completely safe during the day. However, although we had no incidents during our stay, it seemed a bit dubious at night; we travelled as a couple, but as a woman, I would not feel comfortable to be alone on the streets in this area after dark.

Perhaps the cleanest hotel I can remember. The decor is white and spotless The staff was always attentive, helpful, eager to please. We arrived with 2 bikes to begin our tour and they directed us to their -1 level breakfast room where we assembled the bikes on the internal courtyard. We then were able to store them in a nearby storage area, and our room was ready. The excellent breakfast offered items aimed at guests of many origins, UK, Northern Europe, US, as well as Iberia. As soon as a guest left, the table was immediately cleared and prepared for the next guest. Breakfast items were promptly replenished. The front desk attendant spoke excellent English (probably many additional languages) and was always helpful. We will happily return for several additional nights at the end of our tour.

Two people outside the hotel argued loudly for hours, then kept talking. We could have closed the window, but didn't, so that is NOT the fault of the hotel. Finding the hotel is not easy, but that is the charm of staying in the Alfama District. I compared it to a Rick Steves recommended hotel and it was superior in value. Our twin room was small but of a typical size for Lisbon.
