Good location. Kitchen with drink and food making facilities on top floor as no kettle in rooms. Authentic building with original features. Cosy bed and pillow. I enjoyed my stay and was not looking for luxury. Man on reception across the road was helpful if there was a problem.

Did have a few issues and had to call into the hotel across the road to report as the building was not manned. The shower was a bit temperamental and hard to operate. My room had the original shutter windows and had big gaps, causing poor soundproofing. The power one afternoon kept going off on my floor but understood there is an issue in Lisbon with electrics in general.

Staff was nice, they were very helpfull answering all questions related to our stay and seeing to all our needs. Breakfast is good, not too many options but you can't be too picky so it was more than fine. Bathroom was nice with a big shower, there was space to put your things near the sink.

The room was very small, if you have more than a luggage you will struggle to find a spot and it feels claustrophobic. The room is very clean and cozy but never seen a smaller one :D. The windows did not have any curtains so if you were to open the wooden shutters everyone in the stret would see you (we stayed at 1st floor). Also the walls are thin, and there was a lot of noise coming from outside and other rooms.

The bed was very comfortable and all facilities were very clean. You have access to a kitchen that is well outfitted to save on a few meals if that helps with personal budgets. Absolutely great location. Breakfast is very good with a wide choice to suit tastes. I would stay here again no question.

I don't think I knew in advance that I was to check in with the restaurant across the street. Meaning was I told and totally forgot but facing a locked door with no one seemingly available was very unnerving. Once I was in the restaurant and met Maria all was made right in my world! Thank you Maria!

Everything! Because it's off season, we were notified that we would be upgraded to another hotel. Which was just across the road ! Excellent, a lovely room, shower, complimentary water & wine, etc, window overlooking the street, with trams 🥰 The staff were more than helpful, nothing was too much trouble! For evening meals we decided to try the restaurant opposite the hotel, Frei Papinhas. Wow, amazing food, attentive staff, relaxed atmosphere. Everything! Because it's off season, we were notified that we would be upgraded to another hotel. Which was just across the road ! the location is spectacular! the check in was easy. our room was small but we did not mind. Great for the value!

it’s not that I didn’t like this but a warning to light sleepers, the walls are quite thin. I would expect this of any building in the area however because of the age of this area. It did not bother me as sleeping is no issue for me. It’s a heads up to picky sleepers, you should probably stay in a different part of the city.

Location, staff, nice atmosphere. My friend had an accident and had to go to hospital. The staff went above themselves to help me with everything and to check out and store luggage while I sorted things out.

My room was a little bit disappointing (my friend's was good). I did not have a chair (she had two), and my bathroom was a bit scruffy (again my friend had a lovely bathroom). I am not sure that my room lived up to the 'superior' rating.

Great location, quiet, clean and perfect stay. The tram stops right opposite, its few steps from the lookout and some great bars and restaurants

The location was perfect! I was able to walk to most areas and it was very close to the beach, shopping stores and restaurants. The staff were especially great! Nedia and David made our stay perfect. They were so accommodating, friendly and had great recommendations! David went above and beyond during our entire stay. He was extremely professional, friendly and hospitable. He’s a great asset to the team. Overall, the stay was lovely and I would definitely stay here again in the future!

The place was really good so if I have to fine somethings that I didn’t like it should be: - no curtains - no lift (it’s an old building so there’s nothing they could do) - the room was small because I mistakenly booked a room for 1 instead for 2. They we’re really nice and understood so we could stay nonetheless

Apart from the hotel and its facilities (which has an A+ location, cozy rooms, and a decent breakfast - all in all: a VERY good price to quality ratio) the staff was AMAZING. The team was understaffed due to COVID, and they were working their *sses off, but NOT at the expense of the guests. They were friendly, took their time for us, and made sure we had everything we needed and more - nothing was too much for them. For example, my boyfriend asked for balloons and wine in our room, as a surprise for my birthday. Regardless of them being swamped with other, undoubtedly more pressing responsibilities, the staff arranged everything and insisted that this was part of the service. NOTHING BUT PRAISE! We wish the hotel and its employees all the best, lots of luck and good health! Don't work too hard, guys. <3
