My Story Hotel Tejo

Boutique style hotel with very modern rooms and its a great central locations so many things are walking distance even if it is up a few hills 🤣

There are some standard rooms that have no natural daylight and although I told them in advance I was coming for my 50th birthday I was told there was no guarantee for a room with view to city. I think the hotel should grade the standard rooms as the ones with no natural daylight and then you know what you are booking. We were upgraded the next day to an amazing room with view to the castle so thank you to the staff for sorting that out for us.

Breakfast was excellent and the location was perfect! We hopped on the bus/train/tram everyday. The hotel was clean and staff were super nice and helpful. Beatriz at the front desk was very accommodating.

We loved Everything ! The staff on reception were so nice the room was wonderful and exceptionally spotless fresh bedding and fresh towels every day the standards were really high I just loved it and can’t recommend this hotel enough! So worth every single penny

The buffet breakfast was excellent...the best selection of food we've ever had anywhere!! So many choices for hot/ cold, coffee choices, drinks, pastries etc. Lots of seating, even in quaint nooks. Location of hotel is perfect for walking the Rossio area...took a tuk tuk tour.. it was great. Many sights and great pedestrian areas to walk in with awesome restaurants..

The 2 day Lisbon visit was the perfect ending to our month in Portugal.

My 2-night stay at the My Story Hotel Tejo was wonderful. The hotel is very tastefully hip, clean, and comfortable. I was a bit disappointed the room assigned to me was not the room depicted in the photos on my booking site. I booked a single, which advertised 172 sq. ft. of space, a sitting chair, and a double desk. The room I received was roughly 12x12 ft. with no sitting chair. I did not complain to the hotel. The room did feature marvelous high ceilings, a wardrobe with refrigerator, comfortably firm bed, small TV, advanced and quiet AC/heat, and robust Wifi. The bathroom was of adequate size with plenty of hot-shower water and polished concrete floors. Like the rest of the hotel, the room makeup was contemporary. The location of My Story Tejo might be its best feature. It sits about 60-meters from Praça da Figueira which has an entrance to the Rossio Metro stop. Many restaurants are in and around this square. There is a small convenience store immediately next store to the hotel, and the splendid Continente Bom Dia grocery store is a 2-block walk. This location is terrific as you are easy walking distance to all the attractions, shopping, and restaurants of the old town. Any transportation you may require is right there as well, including the Metro (1.50-euro to/from the airport), city buses, and the vintage trams. If you need it, Covid-19 testing is available in a trailer in Praça da Figueira, right next to an entrance to the Metro. They offer antigen rapid-testing for free with results in 30-minutes every day of the week between 09:00 and 18:15 (they close for an hour at lunchtime). Full PCR testing is available for 80-euros, with same-day or at most, 24-hour results except on Sundays. The staff was happy, helpful, and fast. Bring your passport with you.

It would have been nice to have in-room coffee/tea kettle.

The location is very convenient. The breakfast is splendid. The staff is very polite and responsive.

Bathroom towels are awful: not white but grey from being very old and worn out

Great hotel overall, can't beat the location, close to Rossio station, Castelo de São Jorge and right at the tram stop for Belém. I particularly liked the shower and the Rituals toiletries was a nice surprise.

Small detail, but when I asked if it was possible to get a taxi in the very early morning they said yes but offered to schedule one. I was expecting a regular cab but they booked a black car without letting me know how much it cost (about double the price of a regular cab).

We were not at My Story Hotel Tejo but at My Story Hotel Figuira (about 100 meters apart). We arrived far too early, but to our surprise we were told the apartment we’d rented already was available. When we entered the apartment, it appeared that due to an internal miscommunication, the apartment was not cleaned yet. Although we were far to early (and the hotel could have said “wait till your check-in time”) the hotel offered us instead two rooms in the hotel. Nice, spacious, well equipped rooms with great beds and a more than luxurious shower. And above all: the lady at the reception arranged everything without any discussion and with a great smile. And the location of both this hotel (Figuira) and her “sister” (Tejo) are the ideal spot to enjoy and discover L’bon.

Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Beatrice she was a pleasure to deal with at reception. The location as everyone has said is amazing. Very central to everything and for a reasonable price. The room had a fridge which is always useful for keeping your own cold drinks, we had no problem with space for all of that. We found the bed very comfy and had no problems sleeping. Also the aircon worked very well. The Rituals products in the bathroom were very handy and welcomed. Also being able to leave our luggage at reception was most helpful. Hotel decor and the smell reception were pleasant. We'd definitely stay here again.

If I am being very picky then I would say the lettering on the floor numbers by the lift is crumbling away (or guests are picking it off). It may be good to replace these although I'm sure it is not too easy if they are often broken by guests. Otherwise the decor in the hotel is beautiful. Also the view from the room wasn't great (had a view of a fire exit and wall) but I can't expect much from a reasonably priced room in the center of the city. So again just details that would not stop me from staying again.

Our rooms were clean, modern and very spacious. The view from our door/window was lovely, we could see part of the castle. The hotel itself was central to everything, including the train station. We didn’t have tea and coffee facilities in our rooms, I missed this but it wasn’t a necessity I suppose. The bathroom had a hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel and hand wash, shower cap. The water was hot at all times. There was a fridge with a drinks in it but we didn’t use them, as it would have cost us money. The mattress was comfortable, and I suffer with pains in my hips but I wasn’t effected. Overall a great hotel, would stay again.

no coffee or tea facilities. Had I also known we could have asked for a breakfast box on the go, the early morning flight we had to catch, we missed our breakfast. This was never mentioned to us, only on leaving another 2 people had this, so I was annoyed we could have had the same.
