Good, central location , nice little funky hotel , warm , friendly atmosphere to it. Would stay again.

Nothing really ; maybe our room a bit tight , but I’m sure there’s more spacious rooms available.

Hotel location very central, staff were helpful and cleaning staff very good. The interior is a little dark but interesting. I would recommend the hotel.

The hotel itself was very good, i would recommend staying there but we booked our room including breakfast and the breakfast staff were curteous except for a man called Franscesco. This man was very rude and difficult to deal with, he made us feel very unwelcome and was the major cause of our not recommending anyone to book breakfast at this hotel. We booked with another couple and they too found him to be very unpleasant and so this did adversley affect our stay. We did mention him to reception staff but they seemed powerless to rectify the situation.

The location was excellent, right in the center although outside the crowds of people. The rooms were good.

The breakfast was okay, not excellent. There was a person working during breakfast which was so tense that you kind of were afraid of him. F. ex. he did not want people to sit at certain tables as he had already prepared them for lunch. As there was 40 degrees outside and we were catching a plane in the night, we asked whether we could take a shower in the afternoon. The hotel rejected and had no solution for us. The hotel should consider to assist people in such situations :)

Upon arrival I was immediately greeted by very helpful staff who walked me through their check-in process which was a bit unconventional (requires you to check-in via a form on an iPad), apparently you can fill these out prior to arrival to expedite the process but as I had booked last minute and was traveling the day before I hadn't. Regardless, the check-in process was streamlined and smooth. They informed that breakfast started at 7:30 but in the case I needed to leave for the airport earlier they could provide a packed breakfast, very nice gesture. The room itself was a bit of a strange shape, long hallway leading to the bedroom- with the bed being a mattress on a sort of platform rather than a traditional bed which I personally found very nice. I had a nice view over the square below and even had a lovely handwritten note waiting for me in the room greeting me. These are all things I expect from a hotel that costs twice the price or more, and for the price I paid I felt not only was this an incredible value (I would stay here again 10/10 for this price) but the service quality exceeded my expectations. Definitely recommend.

Hard to find things to complain about when I was not having many expectations to begin with! The only minor "complaint" I could maybe think of is that the staff member in charge of the breakfast initially greeted me a bit strangely asking me for my room number in a tone that felt a bit accusative at first, but I think it may have been moreso due to the language barrier or something so I don't hold it against them at all.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was very central and within easy walking distance to most of the sites, and the trams and metro were easily accessible. The hotel was spotlessly clean and comfortable, the breakfast was enjoyable with plenty of choice

There is nothing that I can honestly say that I didn't like about the hotel, with the possible exception to the location of the bed in our room (408) the room itself was large enough for our needs, but the bed was almost the the full width of the room which meant that there was a bit of clambering required to get in and out, which for a couple in our late 60's was quite entertaining!

This is an excellent small hotel which is very well located to reach everywhere in the old city by foot it is also very easy to reach surrounding area by by metro. The staff in the hotel and amazing and they make you feel at home. Everything from check in to check out was easy. Philipa was very wonderful and left us a complimentary bottle of wine for my husband’s birthday. Excellent place to stay to visit Lisbon.

The hotel has a fig theme with lots of black and green colours so for me it felt a bit too dark. It’s a matter of taste really. I prefer light. Not all rooms are overlooking the square which is understandable for all hotels in historic areas. However for two nights this did not affect the wonderful stay in the hotel.

Hotel is in a centralised location with great access to main tourist sights.

The bedroom layout (at least our room - 108) required one person to step over another person to get out of bed.

Had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel , all staff excellent at their job and made the stay very memorable. Rooms and bathroom spotless 👌 The hotel itself is perfectly situated , easy walking distance to many of the best attractions such as , The Castle , Tram 28 starting point , Rossio Station for train to Sintra , Praça do Comércio and the main shopping areas Surrounded by lots of good eating places and the food inside the hotel itself is delicious 😋 Would highly recommend a stay here when visiting the lovely city of Lisbon

The rooms were very comfortable, spacious and with great blackout curtains to sleep late. There were plenty of different light points and plugs. The breakfast is varied, copious (it is a buffet) and located in a big room so that you always find a place to sit down regardless the time. It is located right in the centre, next to tram stops and metro stations. The staff was always extremely helpful, attentive and very friendly, which made our stay just perfect.

Despite this being a good hotel, it lacks the attention to detail that a 4 stars hotel is expected to have, and I advice them to pay attention to several things. For instance, the shower did not drain well, the bathroom mats were broken/frayed, the WC had fungi as it was not meticulously cleaned and the walls of the corridors were so dusty you could write on them. Once again, this is not a bad dirty hotel at all, but it does not strives hard enough to be an excellent one either (but it could do so). The rooms, though comfy, were a bit comfy until about 2am in the morning given its location.

no full length mirror in the room, not sufficient counter space in the bathroom no tea pot, awkward layout of room for coffee pod machine, bathroom glass door with no knob but a hole (hard to find in the night)
