Olissippo Castelo

The staff were very helpful. our room was spacious and had a view over the city. well positioned for walking around the old town but also walkable into the modern area and stations to either Rosio to Sinatra and Sodre to Cascais. If you have mobility issues this area is not for you.

The main door is locked at 8.30, needed to ring bell to be let in.

Good price with breakfast included. Walking distance to some nice restaurants and viewpoints.

Not recommend for immobile people or when carrying lots of heavy luggage. It's quite a walk to get to the city center with steep declines. You will not get any view of the castle from the hotel (at least not from standard rooms). Very annoying was that the hotel was not willing to confirm in advance that the room had two separate beds, despite me making a booking for a twin bed room. If you are not sure if you have a twin bed room available then don't sell it.

The hotel is situated in the old town, uphill and in a quiet part of town. Large, spacious and bright room with a terrace overlooking the city. Comfortable beds and a good size bathroom. Friendly, helpful staff especially Maria on the desk. Excellent choice for breakfast and catered for gluten free. Well situated for visiting the Castle and the old town with restaurants nearby

Situated in a quiet street and not that easy to find. It is a bit of an uphill walk from the main town but there are trams and buses if you don't want the hike.

The hotel is in the ultra-central area, close to the castle. My room had an exceptional view, I could see a part of the city from above. Of course, to spend a few days there, you must be able to put in a minimum of effort to climb a series of steep stairs. But it's worth it!! The hotel's staff is distinguished by kindness, permanent solicitude, and ability to create a pleasant atmosphere. The room was cleaned daily, in detail. The breakfast is generous. In the room there was a coffee machine and its capsules were daily completed free.

The location is simply impeccable

Compared to other hotels, Olissippo Castelo offered a full high quality breakfast. The location was within walking distance of all tourist spots. The biggest selling point was the view from my room that over-looked the city.

In order to get the best Wi-Fi reception....I had to stay in the living room area. Note: Wi-Fi was spotty in the bed room. Another irritating issue was the fact that only one TV in the room had English speaking channels. Note: this issue forced me to stay in the bed room area for full cable options. Enclosing: These issue doesn't take away from the overall 10 rating points that I am giving it.

Lovely staff who were very helpful. The breakfasts were excellent.

The hotel location was very challenging for me as it is very high up and getting anywhere entails walking on very narrow, slippery tiled pavements and negotiating dangerous traffic. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone with limited mobility as you will need to take taxis to get down to the flat part of town, the shops, museums or to even to get to restaurants.

Great location, staff and hotel. Clean, friendly, quiet and good access to all the sights. Loved it! We asked for a room with a balcony and were provided with one so thank you as it was so nice to come back & sit outside after a long day walking & sight seeing. Special thanks to Reinaldo our very reasonably priced and very sweet taxi driver arranged by the hotel. Would definitely come back here again.

The staff were excellent, the place is quiet and comfortable. They realised it was my husband's birthday that we were celebrating and left us some bubbles which was such a kind and thoughtful gesture.

Nothing. It is quite a steep hill the place is on, so may need to rely on trams or taxis if making more than one trips to the hotel in the day.

This is a great place to stay in Lisbon right around the corner from the St George castle. The room was very spacious and had a nice sitting area with a couch and chairs. View was amazing. Breakfast was very good and the staff was very helpful with anything. They booked us a shuttle to the airport as well. The neighborhood was nice and not overly touristy. Also about a 10 min walk to the castle entrance. Also on a couple of tram lines. Included photo is the actual view out of the window.
