Very friendly staff. We loved our room - it was large and spacious and had lots of windows that opened to that spectacular view of the water and lower Lisbon! (booked "Luxury Suite with panoramic river View", on 4th floor). The bed was amazing. The room was very clean. The air conditioning worked great. Appreciated the carafe of port, fresh bottle of water each day, and a lovely bowl of fruit. I really prefer this type of "hotel" that exudes charm and personality. The terrace has that same beautiful view, and was really nice to eat breakfast in each morning, and to enjoy a delicious liter of sangria each evening. Would stay here again. Very special place.

The hike up the hill from the parking garage with many heavy suitcases was challenging, but we managed. (We are 66 and 70 yo). It is Alfama area, and the hills are steep. Not for the physically challenged. But I knew this when I booked it. Do your research and know what to expect. They will help with your bags up the stairs in the hotel. There is no elevator - keep this in mind!

Great location with a great view of the bridge from our room. It was a 5 min walk to the castle and about the same down to the main area with restaurants and bars. Room was cleaned very well each day. Great air conditioning unit that we were glad of. Breakfast was very good with cereal, scrambled egg, sausages, mushroom & peppers, grilled tomatoes with cheese, salmon and other cold meats. Fruit juices and bubbly along with coffee, toast, bread, pastries and a very nice cake. Staff were very friendly and helpful (Hello Rio!).

Wifi did disappear one evening for a few hours.

Absolutely amazing hotel - We were greeted by friendly staff you offered to take our bags and a free welcome drink on the stunning terrace that overlooks the river. Behind the hotel is the castle about a 3 minute walk away! Was such a great location, everything was walkable or a short Uber drive away and we had so much fun exploring the area. Room was spotless, veeeery comfy bed, amazing view (we went for River view and it was worth it!), good rain shower, great breakfast and super helpful friendly staff. Would definitely stay again!

The breakfast was advertised as being served from 8:30-10:30am. We went down at 10:10 on the first morning as we thought we'd take advantage and have a lay in - and a lot of the food was missing/already finished - however we just made sure to go at 9:30am on our other days to make sure we got in on the pastries- fab stay.

We loved everything about the hotel. From the minute our cab dropped us off, Momo greeted us and simply said; step out to the deck and have a glass of wine while we get your baggage up to your room. The view was spectacular, of the river and Alfama. The room was one level from the top floor and was spacious. Two french balconies and a beautiful alcove with windows on three sides with the largest bed I've ever seen (it could sleep four). The location is sensational right beneath the castle and close to the elevator that takes you down seven floors to beautiful city center. It's a good climb up and down using the steps and side streets. On the deck with great views of the river etc. they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is fantastic. Momo got us settled and gave us plenty of information and recommendations on our stay in Lisboa. As beautiful as the city is, we found ourselves being torn by spending more time in our room/suite. The accommodations were great. Updated, plenty of space. A brilliant bath with shower and separate tub, glass doors, light everywhere and views for days. Momo also arranged for a taxi to pick us up at checkout to take us to our car rental. At departure, Bruno was also amazing as he moved all our luggage down, helped to make sure everything was lined up and saw us off with a smile and a wave. Manuela was also delightful at the front desk.

Not a damn thing. The stairs were totally worth it to have the view we did, plus you have to work off some of the food you are consuming for sure.

Loved the large (extra large king size) bed and the spaciousness of the bedroom. Freindly receptionist providng helpful information and help with the luggage up all the steps to our room on the 4th floor. Room was quiet and view of Lisbon was amazing - lots of windows which opend to a cool breeze. Liked the water and Port and fruit supplied in the room. Had a safe and a small fridge. Loved the shower as well as the bath/shower combination! Toilet in a seperate private room. Bathrobes and slippers as well as beatiful bedding made the room feel really luxurious. Would stay here again!

Checkout - the fellow checking us out was the person setting up the breakfast and he was not able to work the CC machine - kept telling me it was my cards ( all 3 of them) yet we needed to get a cab and get to the airport. We finally just ended up paying cash for the room which was not planned. He realized afterwards that the machine was not connected ( too late unfortunatly) which wasted 15 minutes. We didnt get much time to eat breakfast and had to leave after 10 minutes to get a cab to the airport.

The property was very clean and the staff were very friendly (especially Bruno). We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace but didn’t have the chance to eat at the restaurant upstairs (though we met other travelers who stayed elsewhere but said the restaurant was amazing). Convenient location to the older parts of Lisbon and main tourist attractions.

If you don’t mind lots of stairs to get up to the hotel’s location, then there isn’t anything negative about the property. Though if you’re traveling in Lisbon you’ll find stairs unavoidable regardless of where you stay!

The service at the hotel was outstanding. We felt incredibly welcome and were treated incredibly well. They went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our stay and had everything we needed for a great experience. We loved the beautiful view and spaciousness of our room. Everything worked well in the room which was not the case at many of the other hotels we have stayed over the last couple weeks. Thanks so much for making our time in Lisbon so enjoyable!

Great views. Great buffet breakfast. Friendly staff. Nice terrace with good food. Convenient location. Quiet street.

No tea and coffee making facilities in room. Room quite cold sometimes and radiators were noisy. Glass door to bathroom - lack of privacy and light too bright at night. Breakfast room cold and bare, needs to be cosier.

Our room, which had a view of the river, was beautiful. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The best service we had during our European vacation. They also had Fado performers the night we arrived in their restaurant. It was an incredible performance. We felt so appreciative that the front desk staff reserved a spot for us. The food was very delicious as well. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!

I have no complaints. It is a wonderful hotel.

Lovely room with great view across the city to the sea. Staff were very chatty and helpful. We came for our anniversary and it was a real treat! 5min walk to the elevators to get down into city. Tram 28 nearby. Loads of bars and restaurants nearby including hotels
