ibis Styles Barcelona Centre

I am a single mommy who traveled to Barcelona with his eight-year-old son. Besides the fact that the hotel has a great location (basically in the epicenter of all touristic sights in walking distance), the best about this hotel was its wonderful staff! Super nice, kind, helpful and understanding staff! Our stay was unfortunately overshadowed by the fact that my son fell sick with fever on the first day of our arrival. The staff was very understanding and helped me with everything that could ease such a situation. Wish I could name them all by their names, nevertheless even though I remember some names, I would like to express on a general note my wholehearted thanks to all staff, from the cleaning ladies who arranged my son’s plush on the bed in a nice way to make him feel better, to the kind ladies at breakfast catering who always got us some green apples (since this was the only thing my son would eat) to the amazing people at the reception who went beyond what could be said is their duty (they were eager in helping me with re-booking some tickets I bought earlier, showed me the way to pharmacies and even played with my son! and so much more!) Barcelona is surely worth visiting no matter what, but especially if you get the chance to meet some gems as these folks! No tourist site can ever render me with such wholehearted and kind memories of Barcelona as these wonderful people have done it! Thank you once again to all staff of ibis Styles Barcelona Centre!

We had an excellent stay at this Ibis! Initially I though it would be a bit far from the center, but the position was great, close to everything and in a neighborhood with a really cool vibe! Restaurants and cafes in any direction you’d take. Also a nice bar outside, right next to the hotel with good craft beer. The room was spacious and super clean, nice big and comfortable bed. We’d get fresh towels every day and room made up. One day we left the “do not disturb” sign on the door and, when we returned in the evening, there was a bag with clean towels left for us on the door knob. What a nice gesture! We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, but there was an option to do so. There’s no minibar in the room, but they were kind enough to store our drinks in the reception fridge. All the staff were very nice and smiled a lot, even though you couldn’t see it under the mask :) We felt very welcomed and would definitely return here in the future.

1) Firstly, can state that location of the hotel is impressing: everything is under your hand. There is a Verdaguer metro station right in the corner. 2) Comfortable room (bathroom is small, which is ok for boutique hotel), amazing and responsive personal. 3) Perfect place for a lunch is Palermo (recommended by staff), which has big portions and the cheapest prices. 4) If you want to visit Michelin Restaurant, then my recommendation is Caelis Restaurant (in Ohla Hotel). 5) Also upload Maps.me application and download the country you are visiting, so you will have access to the map without internet connection. 6) You can buy unlimited ticket for 3 days, which really help if you are planning to visit Barceloneta, Park Guel and the places far from hotel.

There were not shampoo, toothpaste, shower gel and slippers included, so do not forget to take those items with yourself. Breakfast is a little bit poor. Also, unfortunately lots of people do not speak English properly, so try to learn some Spanish beforehand :D

This Ibis had a great location and offered a great value and comfort. It was right on the metro line (literally 2min walk) and on one of the main streets of Barcelona - Avinguda Diagonal. It was about 10 min walk to La Sagrada Familia and about 2km from La Rambla area and whatever it offers. The hotel also had a next door cafeteria which offered a great selection of tapas and food and drinks. We walked everywhere (beach, marina, La Rambla and other major sites. Hotel staff was also exceptional, especially the front desk and staff during breakfast.

Nothing to report here. This hotel was exceptionally good. If I go back to Barcelona I will book at the same place.

good location to what I want to see in Barcelona.

Given a room with one bed when I specified 2 beds for two single women. The hotel had no other room to switch to so I had to call around to see if any of my married friends already checked in were in a room with two beds. Luckily, one was found. But it took a long time to transfer luggage from one floor to another using a small elevator. It was past midnight when I was finally in the room. Unpacking and washing up pushed bedtime into wee hours of the morning so got very few hours of sleep before a packed sightseeing agenda next day.

Hotel was very modern and clean and staff were very friendly and overall hotel was great value for the price we paid. Although the bedroom had no windows, it was functional and was a great use of space and had great aircon. Bed was extremely comfortable and shower lovely. Breakfast was ample with functional seating area. The location was within walking distance of the La Sagrada Familia which was absolutely fantastic. The location was a bit far from the centre but an ideal base nevertheless. We got taxi's in everyday which was relatively cheap.

All of us had our own room but if you were travelling as a couple the inner rooms may be a bit small for 2 people. Would have been nicer if you had your own kettle and fridge in the room. The staff would make you drinks at any time outside of breakfast but it would have been better to leave the coffee/hot water machine on downstairs for anyone to use as they wish. Bit of a distance from the centre.

There was a good selection of breakfast available with plenty of seating. The communal areas were modern clean and fresh. The hotel is located close to the metro station Verdaguer on line 4 and 5 this gives you easy access to the many attractions of the city and the airport. The staff were very helpful and provided good service. Room safe was good to have to protect you items from thieves in the city.

I was on the 1st floor and had to wait for the lift all the time the stairs were locked and the key card does not open them. Therefore you have to ask reception to use the stairs every time. you can access the stairs coming down so that is much easier.

The room was absolutely spotless with a lovely bathroom. With the location, quality, and included free breakfast, I thought that value for money for my stay was excellent. Breakfast was also surprisingly good with a wide variety of options to choose from.

The room view was quite poor and didn't get any natural light from outside. But this didn't really bother me since we weren't in the hotel room alot and the cleanliness and temperature of the room was perfect It also would have been nice to have kettle in the room or the option to serve yourself a hot beverage down in the kitchen area outside of breakfast hours. But again, not a major issue for me and more of a nice to have.

The position of the hotel, being very close to the main attractions or metro stations. The cleaning was done every day, the room and the hotel in general was very tidy. The stuff was really friendly and willing to help with everything was needed.

I can’t find anything that I didn’t like especially, but if I would have to say something, I’d say that maybe more diversity for the breakfast it would be much appreciated.
