Mercure Bangkok Makkasan

Although it's not very convenient to travel on foot from the hotel, the hotel provides free shuttle bus to 711 and Makkasan station. The staff is very friendly and the swimming pool is also very clean.

It would be a terrible experience if you walked from Makkasan to the hotel. We arrived at the hotel at 8 pm and dinner was not available at that time, so we had to go to 711 to solve our first meal in Thailand.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially the lobby staff who are very informative and helpful. The rooms are clean and good. We were upgraded from Superior King to Delux rooms which was very nice. The city views were great. The shuttle service to the metro station is good.

The hotel is in a relatively quite location. Except for the hotel restaurant, there are no local restaurant options within close proximity. The nearest ones are about 1-1.5 km away but the options were limited. For more restaurant options you need to go somewhere else.

The hotel was very nice and clean. I had a room on the 10th floor where the bar, pool and gym are located. Just went swimming directly from the room. The breakfast was excellent.

The room next to me was noisy, Once with a child running around and once talking on the phone at 3AM. I told them to stop but didn't care... The location was not the best place. 5min walk to the Metro but was a bit scary at night but no had no issue. I think Bangkok is really a safe.

So far the best hotel we did in Thailand. Helpful and nice staff. The hotel is by train station Makkasan and there is a free shuttle to the subway which can bring you to Sukhumvit in one stop. We wanted to take another hotel downtown and kind of regret it because of Bangkok pollution. I would definitely recommend it if you want to have a luxury time without killing your budget.

good location close to rail link station (walking distance, motorbike taxi from station exit 30baht). comfortable clean room.

the pool area on 10th floor also was the location for the gym and restaurant. on exiting the lift there was a really unpleasant odour of sweaty socks - quite overpowering - maybe from gym area?? it put me off using any of the facilities on that floor

Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The hotel is very modern and provides an “upscale” feeling, and the restaurant serves some incredible food!

The room was designed more so for a partner/spouse stay, then one with family, namely because of how the restroom is set up. Lacks a little privacy in that regard.

The staff abd facilities were both excellent. The room was spacious, quiet and very clean. All in al we were very satisfied.

The location meant having to walk along a rather busy road to reach Makkasan Station though we did use the free shuttle when we left.

Classy. All the staff go out of their way to help you. The pool, gym, and restaurant are all superb. Wonderful panoramic views from the pool

Not many hot vegan options for breakfast.

Comfortable bed and good shower. Decent breakfast.

Staff struggled to explain about their transfer to the airport rail link. In the end I got a taxi. As far as I could glean, they take you to Petchaburi ststion and from there it is walkable to the rail link.
