Solitaire Bangkok Sukhumvit 11

Amazing pool area. Very comfortable bed. Very dark room with no sound pollution or light pollution meaning you get an amazing sleep. Stroll away from all amenities. Fantastic breakfast.

We arrived early so had to wait to check in so we were asked to come back in 2 hours and when we came back they said another hour. They ask for a 2.000 Baht deposit for key cards. Room could do with a deep clean in certain areas although not noticeable unless you look closely.

The rooms could be a little more cleaner. Some of the furniture looks run down.

Location Receptionist

On the date we arrived, the young and tall bellman didn’t help old taxi driver to discharged our luggages, 1 lady in our group had to do that. And when he brought the cart to our rooms, not yet unloaded luggages but he gasped for breath intentionally…, and when he unloaded our luggages, he also acted like it’s a very very big job. Generally, he pretended awkwardly as he worked very hard. We were so discomfort that we didn’t leave tip for him. But luckily, only 1 bellman acted like that. On the date we left, other bellmen was very kind and helpful, they even helped us to arrange taxi and care in details.

Good-sized room

Staff at breakfast area kept clearing my table the moment I got up. Just one morning I had to get a fresh cup of coffee 3 times. This issue of whether a diner is done can be easily solved by having a card display on the table, indicating “in use” or “finished breakfast”. overall, staff also no well trained to put on a smile more readily - like seeing you in the lift.

The location of the hotel, the friendliness and support of the staff. The size of the room and the space of facilities.

There were several inconsiderate guests around d the pool who smoked and played boom boxes so loud one didn't want to remain there as it was not peaceful . Guests also brought food down to the pool and given notices clearly said no smoking, no eating and be considerate staff never intervened!!!

Only one thing and this might not be the fault of the hotel. They is smoking smell inside the room. Probably those irresponsible people smoke in the room.

room in lower floor and separate building, air conditioning programming issue, it would turn off automatically in 45 minutes, an over head rain shower would have been better.

The location to the center of Bangkok is marvelous. A short walk and you are on the BTS train system to go anywhere. The room was spacious and practical. Kept clean daily by courteous staff. The gym is small but practical, we were on holidays after all. Exercise later back home. After a well catered breakfast and a short rest in our room, it was off to the oasis of the swimming pool for a hour or two. The concierge and reception staff are attentive and very helpful.

The tile work around the pool and leading back into the building was a little to luxurious and slippery. Those tiles should be a little abrasive for better grip when walking on the wet tiles.

I have stayed at the Bangkok Solitaire for over 15 years, every 2 or 3 years. It now has new owners and they are upholding the excellent tradition of the Solitaire. All the facilities are great as always, as well as the food at breakfast and in room dining service. Manager Joy was very helpful in answering questions about the hotel and the area. She is a great asset for Solitaire and its guests. Solitaire is very conveniently located within walking distance of Bumrungrad Hospital. There are many restaurants and bars along Soi 11 but Solitaire is located around the corner and about one block away from 11 so it is always peaceful with little traffic. I will stay there again in 2025.

The room was spacious and clean. The staffs were amazing! They helped me arrange a birthday surprise with a cake and even sang the birthday song! It was beyond my expectations. Thank you so so much for being so accommodating to us. Me and my friends had an amazing stay! The breakfast was so good with so many choices. Stayed for 5 days and the breakfast buffet food changes every day. Had a good time at the pool too. The pool water was slightly colder but everything else was amazing. Even the room service was excellent. 👍👍👍👍 Definitely worth every penny. Thank you for doing great! 💙
