Top Quality/Location/Price ratio in my opinion. The price is very fair and you get a local experience of people, place, and breakfast food in a very "tourist attraction" area. again all with quality and a very fair price. Breakfast food and roof top view is amazing. Location is amazing and Walking distance to the entire old city istanbul, as well as to marmary line and tram. Staff is very helpful and cooperative.

Wifi quality is bad. somehow also the wifi line it self (seems to be an infrastructure problem in the entire area as i understood from staff). Note that cars cannot park in front of the hotel, so if you get a taxi or transfer from the hotel, it will drop you 2 building next to the hotel. its not annoying once you know it (Google maps still thinks there is a street in front of the hotel).

The position on the Hippodrome opposite the Blue Mosque is central to exploring Sultanahmet and only a four minute walk to the tram stop The staff are friendly and helpful, the beds comfortable and the breakfast extensive The hotel can arrange private transport to and from the airport and for tours.

The only thing to be aware of is that although the lift goes to the fifth floor the breakfast room is on the top floor and requires walking up a further flight of stairs. This makes the hotel unsuitable for those disabled.

Amazing location with all major sites within walking distance. The view from the breakfast room is stunning, it overlooks Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and the see. The stuff is available, helpful and polite. We booked a suit that overlooks the hippodrome and a standard double room. The suit is nice size and has fantastic views. They gave us a standard room next to the suit, and that turned our accommodation into two bedrooms, two bathrooms suit since it was possible to lock the door in front of the corridor that led to these two rooms.

We booked a city tour with a private guide through the hotel and that was hugely disappointing, to say the least. The guide was unenthusiastic and simply unwilling to share information. Not only that he gave us minimal information (for instance we learned more from the public info available at the hippodrome than from what he shared with us), but he was also saying wrong things (at times being a century or two off with the dates). We came to this trip with teenage children and with wish that they learn some history, we ended up wasting a valuable time in Istanbul with this guide.

The buffet breakfast was delicious and with a large selection and variety of foods. The views from the restaurant on the top floor were stunning. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The transport arranged by the staff was reliable and on time and they did offer to arrange some activities and tours. The one activity we did attend, was well-organised and managed. The hotel is perfectly placed and close to all the main attractions in Sultanahmet. The decor in the hotel is pleasant.

There were some occasional power outages which did cause issues but the hotel was quick in resolving the problem.

The breakfast was wonderful on a top floor with a view of boat traffic on the Bosporus. The food selection was near unlimited and staff very friendly. The kitchen staff also serves the steer-side cafe. The front desk staff very helpful with helping to make our visit to Istanbul a great experience. The staff helped get our laundry cleaned before we left for Greece. Highly recommended.

There was not anything to complain about. The rooms were not huge but the time we spent there was cleanup and sleeping. Small price to pay for the tremendous central location.

Location location location! Super strategic and convenient for the first timer in Turkiye like us. Walking distance to major attraction. The hotel is not flash but very comfortable and clean. Breakfast on rooftop with a view of Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia and the distant sea is superb! Would recommend this hotel highly

Not much. The drainage in the bathroom is rather slow. The rate is rather expensive but considering the location and high season we get it. Apparently, rates can change dramatically for a few factors unknown to me, so check, different day/ week can be very different

The location was perfect, clean hotel, good selection for the breakfast buffet, really liked the cleaner Helal who was very sweet and would offer to clean our room, other staff were very helpful and available 24/7.

Wish there was a bit of variety in the breakfast buffet and some options to have a good drink - smoothie/latte instead of being asked to buy those from the cafe downstairs. We tended to arrive in the last hour, and sometimes the pots would be empty and not refilled (understandable) . Only other issue was the sound coming from the rooms next door (plumbing), this was especially obvious in the bathroom where you could hear exactly what was happening in the other bathroom through the connecting grate.

There were excellent breakfast options, the breakfast room has a beautiful view of Hagia Sophia, the Sultanahmet Mosque and the magnificent Bosphorus, the friends at the reception took very good care of us, and Mr. Mesut at the reception gave very important information about the important places to visit in Istanbul and offered nice tour options. I’m always sceptical about booking with smaller hotels and usually stick to the giant chains for safety but recently the prices were extortionate and so I cast my net wider and came across Alzer Hotel. What more can I say other than what a perfect stay. Excellent location, pictures are accurate. you literally walk out onto the main Sultanahmet stretch that will take you to the main sites. Comfortable bed with great care and attention to detail throughout the room. The staff were all great, from reception, the chef, breakfast service & room service-everyone greets you with a smile and are ready to help. Breakfast was delicious-all fresh food and a great variety. I’ve really enjoyed my stay and will be back in the future! A true gem. If you’re looking for a home away from home, somewhere you’ll feel welcomed, this is the right place.
