Divan Istanbul

Service wonderful and cosy -not too stiff but extremely polite and helpful. Everyone greets and want to help. I don´t know what they are doing differently compared to other hotels but there is an exceptionally good "wibe" in this hotel. Breakfast had quite many varieties. Service was excellent. Even last day we were allowed to enter breakfast before opening as we had to leave early to our flight. Ask for omelettes or other if you want something extra. Overall good breakfast. Longest swimmingpool that i have come across at any hotel. Spa/Sauna/Gym/Swim is complementary to guest. Fantastic cafe in the premises and also good restaurants. We tried the LOKANTA, local specialities with a twist. I used massage facilities at the spa as well paying extra but massage was really good and sore shoulders and feet were cured. Rooms are nice and comfy and in good shape.Kettle is available.Extremely clean , all wishes fulfilled quickly. Location is good as better compared eg. Ritz-Carlton where you have to walk uphill to reach shopping area.I wish i could have stayed longer. It started feeling like home.

Gluten-free bread (one sort) was available but could have brought couple of slices instead of just one. The bread table had many varieties and I wish there would have been one gluten-free sweetbread as well. Muesli or cereals available. Yoghurts would have been really nice extra. Sauna water had too strong menthol smell. It hit the eyes. These are minor things. Had nothing proper to complaint. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT HOTEL !!

I loved the room (the space, the quality furnishings, the marble bathroom, the lights, everything). I loved the hotel, the spa, the staff (the concierge, I don’t remember her name well, was super nice and helpful). The bar is amazing in every way and the international restaurant has a delicious “Power” salad: best I ever had. Did not try Lokanta restaurant but the beautiful chandelier is jaw-dropping, made from the artist that made many other pieces, included the bedside lights in the rooms.

Maybe just the pool room smells a bit funny (probably istanbul water), would also add some smell (eg eucaliptus) to the steamroom. Also I noticed in Istanbul (in general) restaurant staff is way too eager to take your plate when you are (they think) finished, it’s a bit stressful and I think they should relax a bit and review what the etiquette is on the topic (ex you don’t remove the empty plate of people that finished eating if not everyone has finished). But this is all really, really minimal.

The view from the room (10th floor) was awesome. Love watching the sun set over the Bosphorus Strait & when the lights lit the Camlica Mosque & Camlica Tower in the horizon, it was simply breath-taking! The staff at the reception, the restaurant, the housekeepers, security & doorman were all very attentive & nice. A shout out to Rahman from room service, excellent service & being so attentive. Gurbet & Onur, for being helpful & efficient in arranging transport. My daughter n I had a great n wonderful time in Istanbul, thanks to Divan for making it comfortable :)

I only wish the rooms were cooler... Don't get me wrong, the aircon was working fine but didn't feel that way at it was really hot outside. The electrician came and change the filter too. Told me to keep the curtains drawn when going out in the afternoons, that sure helped. Wish I had done so earlier but only did that on the last day(stayed for 7 Nights).

Divan hotel is my favorite choice “home “ whenever I come to Istanbul for business and vacation , the facility is very clean, room is very comfortable, the staff is friendly and good , service with true love , all the staff are trying their best to make every customer happy and unforgettable experience ! I really appreciated the reception man Mr.Dogukan , he is very friendly to help me pick up a good taxi driver to escort me to Istanbul airport , I also appreciate our reception man to print visa for me very quickly and sincerely ! It is really worth for business man and travelers to book this fantastic hotel ! I love all of you , and looking forward to seeing you soon !

Location is perfect. Hotel is very good, breakfast is acceptable. However it could be better with respect to the hotel background.

Hotel is good. Location and quality of room were perfect. But I should say that I was in Divan hotel 20 years ago and at that time it was one of the best 5 star hotel in istanbul however, now it is miles away. I think the problem is management. For example, after calling to front desk the room cleaning happened on third day of my stay! This is so bad for Divan hotel, in addition the quality if cleaning was not good. The doormen were cold and did not greet well, they were more like statues. The reception section was also weak. When I arrived in hotel the receptionist was counting the money and he had no eye contact and I had to wait for 10 minutes to do check in. Due to having memories with this hotel I hope this hotel will improve the services to attract its clients more.

The location was perfect, extremely clean & well kept. & having Polite & courteous staff made it a pleasant place to stay. Specially the front desk staff did try hard to understand my questions & needs even though it wasn’t easy for them to speak in English. My special thanks goes to Ilayda Nese Özdan for her efforts to assist me with my tours reservations which had to be rescheduled few times. Her patience & smile made it much easier. The Front desk Daorkan , Derya, Aleyna, Dogukerm & Gokcan were all worth mentioning. Gönül in house keeping is amazing, Not to forget the restaurant staff & the Hotel entrance supervisors, valet, all did a great job to make everything as smoothly as possible for the guests.

The hotel was amazing, the staff made us feel that we are special. It has a good interior, sauna and gym made the place even more comfortable to stay. The hotel desk can help you with any inquiry you have, for us an example they got us a taxi with a good rate, which is a problem in Istanbul. The hotel breakfast was great, had a huge variety of food to chose and the location also, not too far away from Istikal street which is like a shopping street.

Small minus of the hotel was the pool, you can only swim in their swimming pool if you have a swimming cap. Which is little bit inconvenient my wife and I, because we never experienced this at any stay from other hotels in our entire life. And you have to buy the swimming cap, in case if you don’t have it.

Friendliness, easy access and clear instructions. Welcoming and most importantly friendly and helpful. This hotel has proved very successful with making their guests feel very safe and welcome. The way I was welcomed and treated really showed that every person working here loves their job. I will definitely be recommending this hotel and booking again. On another note, every member of their staff that I’ve dealt with felt very original and happy. I certainly enjoyed the friendliness of the room cleaning ladies as they said bye to me with a very warm smile that made my day. Their food is more than perfect especially at the restaurant downstairs where they serve the best breakfast and lunch with a great top class seating area.

Price could have been a bit more flexible but on the same dates I have seen hotels that had higher prices but are nothing like Divan.

Divan Central Istanbul is an exceptional hotel. The location is perfect for exploring Istanbul by foot and it's right on the edge of Taksim Square and close to the new Ataturk Cultural Centre. The room we had (Deluxe Double) was spacious, stylish and comfortable. The spa is incredible and the staff at the spa desk could not have been more helpful. The full length swimming pool is simply fantastic. The breakfast was amazing and has a lot of choice - including lots of stuff suitable to vegetarians. There's plenty of fresh fruit, cereals, breads, cakes and hot items to choose from. The hotel is modern, exceptionally clean and well-maintained. All the staff across the hotel were very friendly and helpful and always greeted you with a smile. The customer service at the hotel is second to none. A special thanks to Arzu Durhan, Haki Oguz and Ozgur Mert for being so helpful and accommodating. We are already counting the days to our next stay in Divan Istanbul!

I liked everything about this hotel, the staff are so friendly, brilliant spa and really comfortable room. It is just a great hotel all round in a great location. I have stayed in 5 star hotels next door to this one and there is no comparison. I will always stay here again when I visit Istanbul
