Golden Horn Hotel

I like everything. Specially the breakfast Mr.Seckin Kaya and Basak was very welcoming, friendly coperative,energetic and their services was outstanding. They are the best. Front desk staff are also very friendly cooperative and are always smiling. Specially Mr. Erdogan Tanrikula. He is the master, to resolve the issues. I like him very much. Mr. Feizo & Mr. Aydn, their services are awesome. At last I just wanted to say that, this hotel and all the staff are the best. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

There is nothing which I didn't like.

The breakfast was great with a beautiful view at the sea. We really enjoyed the breakfast at your hotel. And we especially want to add that Mr. Seckin Kaya was soo friendly and helpful. He was very professional and asked many times, if everything is alright and brought us a tasty breakfast. The staff was also really nice and professional. Our room was beautiful and we had a nice view.

For a hotel like this, there has to be a iron in the room. That is the only disadvantage. The staff was very friendly and brought us one, but it would be great if there is one in the room. Because all other things were excellent.

The staff are amazing, especially Seckin and his restaurant staff who made every breakfast a lovely start to the day. Very freindly and full of good advice for your travels. Hotel is perfectly placed for all the key sites in Istanbul. Yusuf was also very helpful and kind with hsi time. Great service.

Placed where it is, nights can get a bit loud, but the convenience of the location makes it worthwhile. Rooms can be cranped for larger families.,

The staff at the Golden Horn Hotel were amazing. I want to Thank Seçkin Kaya (Manager of the Breakfast) and his whole team for making you feel welcomed every morning. The Breakfast was amazing. Definitely recommend trying the Omelette and the Turkish Coffee.

The key card to the rooms kept stop working. Had to go reset the keys or try it several times till it opened my room door. Also the room lighting could be a little brighter.

Good breakfast however you need to choose from a menu and while you can opt for several things, a buffet would be preferable. Parking in front of the hotel and of course its location. The host at breakfast was very nice.

The hotel was a bit dated, room furniture would do well with a lick of paint or replacement also the carpets on the stairs are very worn and stained, ... . Only soap and shampoo for bathroom amenities, no shower screen or cups. The room was very small, we were there for 3 nights with only small luggage, would have been problematic if we had a big suitcase with us. Hairs on the nightstand and in the bathroom. Also got a WhatsApp message after the stay asking to give all 10's on Booking, which didn't make me feel very comfortable since it's a bit of a privacy violation.

Excelent location. When you enter, there is a nice lobby with comfortable armchairs and sofas, where you can rest for a little while and have a water, tea or coffee. We had a suite and our room was nice, big enough and with comfy beds. The hotel has a rooftop restaurant with stunning views and amazing and friendly staff. Bahor and Robia took great care of us during every breakfast, always greeting us with a smile, which made us feel very welcomed. Food service is professional and to add cherry on top after it, Turkish coffee is served beautifully. Highly recommended, if you wish to enjoy your meal (or just a drink) with a nice view and professional and friendly waiters, all praise for that :) Great thanks also to Feyzo, who went above and beyond to helped us with luggage and catching our taxi to get to the airport on time (due to the road closure taxi could not pick us up at the hotel), we appreciate it a lot!

Although room has always been nicely cleaned up during our (4 nights) stay, new toilet paper was not added for two days, so we ran out of it. Staff at the reception was a bit incompetent (troubles with booking taxi (it was easier to just stop one at the street than to have it reserved at the reception), waiting too long for our receipt - firstly it was printed wrong (without the amount), the next one was in Turkish (we are not Turkish citizens), at the end it was okay, but it could be done much faster and with less complication).

The staff in general was kind and helpful. We called for some needs around midnight and they helped us. Special mention for Majd Aladb who give us very precise information and helped to calculate at the best the options for the transfer to the airport. He was also super kind in helping us for find very characteristic souvenirs (not commercial), really appreciated that some people are really kind and available with the tourist. Also Secin Kaya, was really friendly with us all the morning. Unfortunately we were always in hurry and so we couldn't enjoy at the best the long turkish breakfast with the nice view from the terrace. Anyway him and his staff were very available and you can see that he really like to make happy the guests.

We had to ask to change the sheets when we arrived, because it seamed that they wasn't changed. The room was very small. The mattress were quite old considering we sank a bit in the middle of each of them even if our weight is on the average for thin people. They had only a type of pillow (very big), the staff tried to give other type to us, but they were similar

Moreover, the hotel's strategic location made it convenient for us to explore the nearby attractions and landmarks, enhancing our overall vacation experience. We left Gold Horn Hotel with a heart full of cherished memories and a desire to return soon. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a perfect blend of luxury, hospitality, and convenience for a memorable family vacation.

We had two suites on the 6th floor. They were clean and spacious. One was used as a triple. The breakfast was fantastic. Seckin Kaya was very welcoming, friendly, had great advice and made a real difference. He was so brilliant with all guests. We stayed for 9 nights and witnessed real consistency in excellent customer service.

Generally it was a great hotel. I guess if it had sauna and leisure facilities it would have been a bonus. That said the rooms and facilities were excellent. Location is also great. Closer to Emininou and Gulhane. Short walk from key destinations, very close to tram stop.
