Best Western Empire Palace Hotel & Spa

Amazing location (5 minute walk to Hagia Sofia) and a 2 minute walk to the tram station. The room service was quick and efficient (Our tv remote wasn’t working and they arranged a new one within minutes). Staff was courteous and helpful.

The hotel decor is old fashioned and not the fanciest and needs to be upgraded to improve the ambiance. The aesthetics need to be upgraded for a better experience so don’t get your expectations high looking at the pictures posted. Breakfast is monotonous and needs to have variety. The hotel doesn’t have a ramp on the entrance so that should be addressed. Customers should also be informed that taxi won’t drop of right in front because of a tram track.

Nice location clean n comfortable rooms. staff was very helpful humble and ready to help you always. Specially Mr. Selim on the check in counter was very helpful and promp starting from chk in through out our stay till chk out. He helped us stay extra 2 hours after our check out time in the busy season time. Special thanks to Mr. Selim.

Not happy with the breakfast at all. Everyday it was same bread serials fruits.and eggs or any fresh stuff was not that good . They need to make major improvements in breakfast.

The best location you can have for visiting the main historical cultural monuments. Everything is nearby, you can walk there. To travel to the European part, you can take the T1 tram, which stops a couple of minutes from the hotel. 10 minutes walk to the Bosphorus. The room is very cozy, very clean, and retains the historical spirit that a hotel located in the historical part of the city should have. It’s great that there is an elevator, which is not found in all hotels in the historical center. Very friendly staff.

The breakfast is of good quality, but I would like some variety. But this is not important, since it is difficult not to be tempted by delicious varied food while walking around Istanbul.

Hotel is in excellent location with walking distance to many historic buildings. Staff were all very friendly & extremely helpful. A standard selection of food for breakfast buffet was available. Very close to a busy tram line station which is useful but was extremely noisy during the night. Due to tram line running through on the main road so close outside the hotel has no access for taxis for drop off or pick, will have to walk a few yards to get to the hotel. The hotel bathrooms was a little run down and needing attention, although does have a delightful palace feel about the building.

Very noisy at night with constant trams running outside the main road until 1am. The hotel is definitely not soundproof and will need a pair of earplugs. Only one very small lift which can only hold 2 people at a time. Room had no toothpaste or toothbrushes or em. Shower liquids & shampoo were much smaller than standard sizes. Towels and bed sheets had large holes in them, although were clean and replaced daily. I was very surprised that a hotel chain like Best Western had allowed this particular hotel to fall just under its usual standards. I felt the hotel probably just about meets level of 4 stars.

Great location with walking distance to Topkapi palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, harbor. Good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff members, especially Irfan, who was very kind to upgrade the room for us, and Omar, who helped take our suitcases all the way to the upper street. Great team! The room was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. Very nice breakfast.

We did not like the noise from the outside street late at night. Taxi dont stop in front of the hotel because that street is closed for car traffic, and we had to walk for 3-7 min depending on a drop-off spot, which did not bother us at all, but maybe be hard for elderly people and maybe tricky with lots of luggage.

Perfectly placed to explore the old city and within a short walking distance of the main sites. The staff were extra friendly and helpful, the room was clean and more than big enough for two.

Istanbul is a noisy bustling city anyway but it's worth mentioning that the hotel is located on a street with a noisy tramline running throughout the day and evening if you are easily woken by noise this may be an issue.

Excellent location to walk to all the main historic sites such as Hagia Sophia, Cisterna Basilica, Topkapi Palace, Spice market, Grand bazaar. Irfan and Salim on the front desk were very polite and helpful. Sultan package in hammam was excellent both in terms of value for money and enjoyment. Room was small but comfortable and very clean. Restaurant food was also very good.

Despite being on 5th floor it was quite noisy during the night but from sounds outside the control Of the hotel. We had a couple of power cuts and backup generator was very loud but they didn’t last long.

Walking distance from most of the important atractions (Aya Sofia, Grand Bazar, Eminonu). Clean rooms, not very noisy neighborhood (it helps if you ask for a room without a tram view). OK breakfast, not much variation, but we could easely find something good to eat for every taste. But the biggest asset of the hotel are the people. They are doing everything to make you feal comfortable. A very big "Teşekkür Ederim" for Mr. Irfan who helped us alot with all we needed. Also a big thanks for Ridvan.

The hotel is excellent for sightseeing of the main historical places. You don't need even transport. All is around on walking distance. If you need anyway to go by transport, the metro station and tram are on 5 minutes walk. You can find near restaurants, sweets shops too. The breakfast in hotel was very good. I would like to give excellent recommendations to receptionist Selim and the other one ( I apologise, I forget name of good and careful other receptionist,who gave us good room). The both of them speak very good English and give useful explanations. Thank you good people, be healthy and continue to be number one. It was my first visit to your hotel, I hope someday again return with my family.My husband and my son were very satisfied by the quality of beds.

Once you arrive at the Hotel, all the staff makes you feel like you are at home. They go out of their way to assist you in everything. My husband had his birthday during our stay at the Best Western Empire Hotel and Mr Alihan and Mr Irfan together with all the other staff made it so special for him. Also the excursions of the hotel were amazing especially Bursa. We will never forget you and looking so forward to stay at your beautiful hotel very soon. Apart from that the location of the hotel is excellent situated 3 mins away from the train station, it was very easy for us to travel from a place to another. Thank you for everything Empire Palace Hotel. You are a great team!
