Lionel Hotel Istanbul

the location is great, perfectly close to the center but also not in the middle of the city so not a lot of noise.

honestly, the restaurant staff were a bit rude.

Breakfast was fantastic - a wonderful variety of delicious food. The rooms are a good size and decor is beautiful.

Service was fair -definitely not 5 star due to lack of attention to details.

The gym was great alongside the sauna and steam room facilities (separate ones for women as well!) The room was great and was cleaned really well each day. The staff are especially helpful especially Ekrem who went above and beyond every day to help us with things to do and looking after our needs. The food selection for breakfast is also high quality and pleasant.

In line with other reviews, I think this hotel could be better located but saying that, it is only a 200-300 lira t trip to get to places like the blue mosque so the taxis are quite cheap but add up. The only other thing I didn’t like is that the pool seemed to be quite busy with swimming lessons for children being run for what felt like almost all the time!

The Hotel is nicely renovated and has a gym, pool, sauna, steam room and hammam, also a free under ground car park if you decide to hire a car. rooms are of a generous size and spacious, with a topped up mini bar daily.

There was a construction site next to the hotel, which they are allowed to carry out construction works all night which disturbed my sleep, however the hotel changed our room for us and moved us to the other side. The breakfast options are limited, with the same thing on the menu every morning, maybe the hotel can change it menu up to have a different selection available.

New hotel, nice decoration, very good service, nice breakfast, comfy beds.The location is strategic if you have a car since it is close to all attractions in Istanbul. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is the easy to access to all high ways and minimum traffic for in and out you dont waste time in crowded areas like Taksim and Sultanahmad. I Booked a connecting room for me and my kids and we were all very happy with the overall experience. I also booked another room for my mum. The price is very decent.

The neighborhood is industrial however, there was no any annoying noise or smell/chemicals, etc. Very neat and clean just like other Istanbul locations

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Lionel Hotel in Istanbul, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm welcome and excellent service provided by the staff. While the hotel's location could have been due to the surrounding factories, the price was reasonable and the hotel offered a peaceful retreat from the bustling city. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, providing a relaxing environment after a day of exploring. Overall, I highly recommend the Lionel Hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. The top-notch service, comfortable accommodations, and reasonable pricing and free parking make it a great choice for a memorable stay in this vibrant city.

I was disappointed that breakfast was not included in the price, despite my initial assumption when making the reservation. This was not clearly communicated during the booking process and was a surprise upon check-in.

Very friendly staff. Nicely laid out reception area. Most spoke some English and quite a few spoke very good English. Our room was awesome we did upgrade to an executive room for €25 p/n well worth it. The restaurant was very well laid out and had nice decor. Food was very good and very reasonable. The wet area pool, saunas & steam room were very inviting as well. They also had very good WiFi which you could stream from.

The area is not a tourist area. There are only a handful of bar, restaurants in the near area, although within a 10 minute walk there is a newish shopping mail with plenty of eateries. Ps I used Uber for the yellow taxi which were very cheap. But I recommend you pay cash to avoid being over charged on a credit card.

The amenities were great, gym, sauna and steam room were clean and really made the stay magical. Rooms were amazing with toiletries everything you needed. Staff were amazing and the breakfast was worth every penny. Such a great spread which also included a chef for omelettes. Was such a great start to each day.

Something I should have checked earlier was the location. Quite far from Taksim and was a little tricky getting a taxi back on some of the days but other than that can’t complain. Staff were amazing!
