Crowne Plaza Dubai Deira, an IHG Hotel

Our room was cleaned very well every day by Sandhia. She asked every day if we needed anything and if so, we could report it to her. The breakfast was tasty. There was plenty of choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Angelo and Samantha in particular came every morning for a short chat. We really appreciated this. On my partner's birthday a pastry was brought and there was singing, thanks to Angelo. The hotel is in an excellent location. The airport is very close and also the metro station. There are also many tasty, especially Asian and Indian restaurants nearby.

We found the front desk staff to communicate quite business-like. As a result, we missed a certain form of customer-friendliness. This does not apply to the person who checked us in. He was very friendly and service minded. Although we found the breakfast delicious, it gets boring after a few days in terms of choice because there is no variety with new dishes. It's the same every day that you can choose from.

Breakfast, staff, room, pool, all very good! It's not super luxury, as it is located right in the vicinity of the airport, which means there are planes flying over you, but the windows are super soundproof. There is a gas station around 50-100 meters away, if one needs some water or snacks. There's another grocery-store across the street, but you need to first walk back, then cross the street at the next intersection and then walk down to the store on the other side of the street. And well, the whole way back again to the hotel :) As our flight home was very early in the morning, even before the breakfast was ready, the hotel arranged for us some breakfast-bags - this was very nice and highly appreciated. Of course, the distance to the airport is really short.

The best way to reach the hotel is by Taxi. But there is no active taxi-stand nearby, which means, the concierge needs to call for a taxi all the time, which results in a small waiting-time for the taxi to arrive.

Firm yet soft, large mattress. LOTS of storage space for clothes etc. I counted 7 large drawers, plus closet space abundant...Good wifi throughout the property. Amazing breakfast, including indian, continental and arabic options. Excellent service, I needed twice housekeeping , both times super fast reaction. Located just a few min stroll from green metro stop, and near the most interesting part of Dubai : souks and the Creek. A special mention to reception manager Salah, who was vey kind to let us checkout much later, and he also helped solve a billing issue, in mere minutes The rooftop pool area was quite enjoyable, though nothing to brag about.

Can't think of anything bad, or wrong.

It is an amazing hotel. To begin with, it is big and looks like a proper 5 star hotel. As you enter the hotel, the entrance and lobby area is extremely impressive. I really love the multiple types of beautiful marble used in the building. The reception staff are exceptional. The room was really nice with really nice comfortable carpet and the beds are really nice. The washrooms are nice. The pool is very good as compared to most pools of hotels in Dubai. The breakfast was very nice. We stayed 11 nights and didn't get bored. Had a very nice variety. The metro station is an easy 5 min walk. The staff at entry always help you get taxi or anything you need. Mr Yash at the tours desk from rayna tours arranged the tickets for aquaventure for us at discounted rates and was very facilitative. Overall a great great experience.

Great hotel and Fantastic experience! I stayed in this hotel with family and everything was fabulous .Me and my family will surely choose it again next time we visit Dubai. Great service and friendly staff. I want to put a special appreciation for Edwina Costala for such a welcoming and positive energy. Thank You for your hospitality we thoroughly enjoyed our stays and taking care of the guest requirements with ulmost care and passion. We couldn't express our gratitude in all your efforts. Thank you again. I really feel very positive and relaxed during my stay. Highly recommended for families and kids will enjoy as well

- Special mention to Jerry in the buffet area, Lakshan and the african guy (who i didn’t manage to get his name) in the pool area; they were amazing. As soon as they see you coming, they greet you with a smile and thanked you before leaving. -Buffet Breakfast has a lot of option to choose from. The chef from Morocco whose making the Saj was very friendly. He showed and explain to me how it’s made. He even let me take a video while he’s making one. It was really a nice experience. -The toilet in our room has a huge bathtub, my daughter loves it. -Housekeeping attendants in our floor (1st Floor) were also exceptional, they always smile and very welcoming whenever they’re in the area.

-I’ve called reception at around 10pm, a night before our check out, the male staff who I’ve talked to was not accommodating at all. A bit rude for me, but I guess he might be busy. -We had issue with our air conditioning, doesn’t go lower than 23 degrees. We didn’t bother to ask for maintenance as we didn’t stay much in our room.
