High Range Lodge Hotel

Quiet edge of town motel, on the main road but it wasn't an issue, with noise, but wasn't very dark due to the street lighting. Spacious room, easy location to find and easy parking. Tea and coffee in the room, restaurant was closed the first night, and no breakfast included, but they offer a pack up, and plenty of cafés, about half a mile walk in to the centre

Our room didn't get cleaned for some reason. Not a big deal, but had to go to get cups and teabags from reception in the rain . Gent was surprised it was missed, and gave me provisions. It was a fair walk to the town and pubs, if you don't mind the walk, it's fine.

This exceeded my expectations. High Range Lodge is beautiful. It's in a fab location for exploring Aviemore - only 10/ 15-minute walk into town. The Hotel is set in beautiful surroundings and makes it a perfect place to explore. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and offered complimentary tea/coffee making facilities. The room was spotlessly clean. The shower was great - powerful and hot. We paid just short of £240 for a couple for 2 nights. No breakfast, but you could order a continental style package at a cost. There is a fridge in the room which was welcome. Would definitely recommend.

Staff were very helpful arranging an early check in and late check out. The parking is plentiful and close to the room. The bathroom was very clean and good shower. Internet was fast enough for video streaming. Curtains were good at cutting out the light. Comfortable bed, spacious room and very clean. Was very pleased with our stay.

There isn't an onsite cafe for breakfasts etc. We were fine with it, because we knew in advance that there was no restaurant and there are plenty of options nearby, but if you aren't aware in advance and desperate for a snack you might feel inconvenienced.

I absolutely LOVED the water pressure of this motel. Accommodations are simple, and can appear to some outdated, however it provides basic comfort you need for a few or some days of stay. Beds were comfortable, room clean and spacious. Extra seating space available. The room does have a tea kettle, a few instant coffee packets, and a small refrigerator. There are no options for breakfast on site, however restaurants nearby are easily accessible by foot and/or car. It is quiet and pleasant. I will definitely stay here again. :)

Spacious room, very clean and well presented. Large and comfortable bed. Room amenities such as nespresso machine, hairdryer, trouser press all very good. Staff very friendly, welcoming and efficient on both check in and check out. Plenty of car parking and all very close to the hotel entrance.

We struggled to get hot water from the shower, though the hot water in the sink was fine. We told the staff on checkout and they said this was unusual and they would look into it. We only stayed one night, but I felt assured that they would have resolved the issue for us if we were staying longer.

Room was warm, clean and comfortable. Bed was supportive.

Electric Car chargers were horrendously expensive. I didn’t use them, but pricing doesn’t encourage me (or anyone else). 10 times more expensive than cheap overnight domestic electricity and nearly double the nearby Tesla Supercharger rates. Chargers are rapid chargers, which is fine for short 1 hour visits, but overkill for overnight visits. If they had a cheap overnight rate on a slower charge, that would be ideal for a hotel stay. Room needed coat hooks. Overall feel was lacking the “cosyness “ factor. It was warm, clean and comfortable in the same way that a doctors waiting room is warm clean and comfortable - underneath bright “interrogation” lights. Bed was only a double bed, a bit small for us. Would prefer king size.

Easy to find hotel at the outskirts of Aviemore. Well decorated, clean and with friendly staff. Parking right in front of the hotel (motel). Downside is no breakfast provision but we really liked they provided recommendations of near-by places for breakfast(one of which we picked and loved). Staff at check-in desk is friendly and pleasure to speak with. Rooms are very spacious, bathroom very well organized. No flaws, would stay again when I am visiting next.

amazing and quiet location. thoroughly enjoyed the short stay I had here and would love to visit again. the apartment in motel was superb! made a lovely meal here with plenty of utensils and lots of space. place was very homely. everything was very clean and tidy. special requests I made were given and were so beautiful as it was a special stay. I would stay here again and will recommend. staff and cleaners were friendly and helpful, very good manners.

would have been better if checkout was at 11am but not a big deal. the apartment was a little hard to find because of there it was but staff helped us :)

A breakfast box is available, but as we stayed in an apartment, we cooked our own breakfast. We were extremely happy, and comfortable in the apartment. We will be returning in December. Liked just about everything! Staff member Nando was so helpful and kind!! Everything about our break went smoothly. Lovely accommodation, ample parking, great housekeeping staff. Just loved our stay and can’t wait to return in December!

Would have liked a salt and pepper cellar, and some kitchen roll, and a couple of tea towels instead of just one. Very small, and, I hope, positive criticisms.

High Range Lodge has motel rooms, bungalows and a caravan park; I stayed one night in the motel. Walking distance from Aviemore train station & town, and has plenty of parking, including ~4 charging spots for EVs! The property is well maintained, and is set up with outdoor enthusiasts in mind: for example, there is a bike locker on site, and boot trays in the rooms. Trails, lochs and hills are a short distance away. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable = a good night's sleep.

Carpet did not appear to have been vacuumed thoroughly after the previous guest(s).
