The room size was unexpectedly large, which was lovely. There were good facilities within the room, e.g, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee making facilities with biscuits and also a bottle of water in the fridge. The room was clean and also had spare pillows if needed. The size of the bed was exceptional and very comfortable to sleep in. We did get a little warm on the night, but this was soon resolved when we turned on the air conditioning system.

We didn't have the breakfast as we felt it was very over priced (£14 per person) but there are plenty of other cafes that offer a decent breakfast for half the price. The fridge in the room was also overheating as it was contained in a small cupboard with no ventilation. We left the door open to help it cool down and it seemed to work more efficiently. The hotel should consider removing the cupboard door covering fridge or moving the fridge elsewhere.

Great location, central and near a big car park. The rooms was perfect, very clean and well turned out, lovely complimentary toiletries, nice fluffy towels and the bed was so comfortable. It's nice to have a mini fridge in the room and tea and coffee making facilities too. The breakfast was delicious and great value for money, we had two good sized full english breakfasts with toast and a large fresh orange each and it was £20.

There's nothing to dislike!

Loved the location of this place, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were all super friendly. We had breakfast in the restaurant in the morning and that was great too, set us up for a long day traipsing around Chatsworth House. This place is very close to shops, pubs, bakeries and restaurants and a lovely walk long the river. Parking was easy, too, we just followed the instructions provided by the hotel and there was ample space in the car park opposite.

The wifi signal in our room was so poor that my phone kept reverting to mobile data. Not a big issue as there was ample 4G signal, but worth noting I guess. The only other thing I would mention is that they need to invest in new towels! The ones we had were fine and clean, but the edges were all frayed and ragged with long threads hanging off. Again, not a big deal and it didn't affect our enjoyment of the place, but for the money I would expect to use towels without ragged edges.

The location could not have been better: right in the centre but in a very quiet road. The staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, comfortable and light. The bathroom was luxurious. The dressing table was next to a window so that I had good natural light for applying my makeup- always appreciated.

As older travellers, we did not feel safe in the shower or bath. A grab rail or two would have made a big difference without spoiling the stunning appearance of the room. Around the basin there was no surface on which I could spread my toiletries when doing my skin care routine twice a day. No space for my husband to place his necessities for shaving. There was plenty of space in the room for a basin fit into a counter top which would have created the surface we needed. Our comfort would have been greatly increased.

lacked atmosphere in the bar and dining area, could be an improvement on the breakfast arrangements having to order the night before, no croissants etc as part of the continental breakfast just toast!!! sad as the hotel is affiliated with the bakery next door, and one other thing is the quality of tea , coffee biscuits in the room, they could be of better quality!!! those gingery cheap coffee biscuits that you can buy in Iceland for £1 for a large pack does not ring quality. small details do matter when you are advertising the hotel as a premier place to stay

Had a brilliant stay, room was beautiful, very comfortable and spotless. Great location for getting around Bakewell. Would love to stay again.

Parking was a bit of a faff and guidance was lengthy but not very clear, we were looking for a long stay sign at the car park by the spar, ended up paying for short stay then the 3 day pass, so cost us £20 to park for one night.

We needed a place to stay to break up a journey and chose this hotel. The location of the hotel is perfect, the room and bathroom were much bigger than I expected for the price and location. The bed was very comfortable and the shower easy to use. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. We didn’t eat at the hotel but the restaurant area looked lovely, the coffee was nice! All in all it was a lovely place to stay and rest after a day of travelling. Thank you!

Central location in town and by the river Our room was an excellent size, with a huge bath as a plus. For a small town centre hotel, the room size was a surprise. Parking isnt included but plenty of info, before our stay, was sent to us to help with this and we found close parking without a problem, even in high season.

Bar atmosphere was lacking, we didnt stay for a drink due to this. Breakfast cost was high so we went elswhere.

Bakewell is a lovely town, very quiet at night, bustling during the day with lots of cafes and interesting shops. The H Boutique Hotel is centrally located and was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Lovely bathroom with quality toiletries provided and comfortable, large bed. Having a fridge in the room was great too.

A light over the bathroom mirror would be useful and as there’s a fridge, a free small bottle of milk for the tea and coffee would be a nice touch and better than the longlife milk sachets. A coffee machine in the room would be good too.

Location is perfect. If you read the instructions sent upon booking, the lack of on site parking is no detriment - a 3 or 7 day pass is available very reasonably at a car park within 5 minutes' walk. Hotel was very clean. Our room was huge. Staff were all courteous and answered anything we asked.

The breakfast was OK. We had booked room only but did opt for breakfast at the hotel one morning. The Full English was a bit of a disappointment. However, my partner's coeliac disease was catered for really well. There was no resupply of the toiletries or coffee in our room during our four-night stay. I'm sure it wouldn't have been a problem had we asked for more, but we simply forgot.
