Very clean room with super comfortable bed and lots of lovely thoughtful touches throughout such as free cake/drinks, milk in fridge, bath robes, relaxing dimming lights, lovely furnishings… I could go on! We had a pet friendly room which was fantastic for our 2 spaniels - the room had double doors into a private grassy area and dog blanket, bowl and treats were provided! The breakfast was fantastic - lots of hot and cold options (inc vegan sausages, bacon and milks) and all brought to our room so we could have breakfast in bed, bliss! Will definitely be back to stay again :)

Nothing - couldn’t fault a single thing!

Amazing breakfast, a great choices of food which is then cooked fresh for a time of your choice, the hosts were amazing nothing was too much trouble they were very welcoming and friendly. Lots of little extras like free cake, Free cans of drinks and cordial. Tea & coffee making facilities in the room with fresh milk in the fridge. Complimentary shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, soap & hand cream. If you like walking there are lots of walks so you can park the car and walk from Robin Hood farm in all different directions and not touch your car again until you leave. Or if you prefer to go out and about by car BAKEWELL, BUXTON, MATLOCK plus lots more towns and villages are all a short drive away. There is a pub next door to the farm which serves delicious lunch and dinner at reasonable prices and you get a discount If you are straying at Robin Hood farm. If you have dogs this place is very dog friendly with rooms for people with dogs, there are doggy towels and water dishes provided. The pub next door also welcomes dogs. We didn’t take a dog and booked a dog free room, we didn’t hear any of the dogs in the other rooms.

Clearly our hosts have spent time fine-tuning the accommodation to ensure that you have everything you need for an enjoyable, home from home break. Breakfast was excellent. Dogs are genuinely welcomed and catered for. Plenty of great walks a short drive away with two or three direct from the B&B. If you do have a dog and are planning local walks, check with Chris, the owner, regarding the type of stiles you might encounter; we were planning to do the walk direct from the B&B to Chatsworth until we discovered there are a couple of high wall stiles that our dog would have struggled with.

For us the location was perfect even though road works are presently making it a slow journey to get into Bakewell or to visit Chatsworth House. The room was well decorated and comfortable and there were little touches like extra drinks available which was thoughtful. Breakfast was well cooked and plentiful. It was Covid safe.

The description of the room having a garden was pushing it a bit and possibly the description should have read - garden area still in development as it was a patch of ground with soil covering a black lining layer. The decking was also quite slippery. There was a large spiders web and a spider in the bathroom Velux which hopefully will be seen by the cleaner and removed.

Beautiful place to stay from the moment you enter. Beautiful home made cakes, then the fridge with pop, water and bottles of beer, all in with the price. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had the bathroom across the landing from our room. This isn't a problem, the bathroom is lovely with a jacuzzi bath, which felt great after our long walk that day. Breakfast, is probably one of the best homemade breakfast I've had, everything was cooked perfectly and all items from local businesses from the area. All in all, perfect hosts and a beautiful location.

Lovely property with lots of character and very tastefully decorated in keeping with its age, finished with some quality contemporary additions. Lovely comfortable and clean room with a comfortable bed and fresh milk in the fridge. We had a shared bathroom but it was kept immaculately clean. So many extras are provided here from homemade cakes to refreshments on the landing. Exceptional attention to detail by the hosts with nothing overlooked. The full English breakfast was fabulous with the best black pudding ever. This is how you run a quality B&B.

We didn’t like leaving after only one night

Our hosts Caroline and Chris were very helpful and helped to make our stay most enjoyable. we have no hesitation in recommending this B&B to others. The choice of food for breakfast was extensive and the Full Derbyshire was cooked to perfection! There were delicious home-made cakes available on return from our day out - a very nice and welcome touch! A variety of tea, and other beverages were freely available for our room, together with a plentiful supply of cold milk. The B&B was excellently situated for walking in the countryside directly from the property and for walking to Chatsworth House. The Robin Hood Inn, adjacent, provided good food and a good range of ales after a day tramping in the Derbyshire Hills.

This has to be one of the best B and B stays that we have experienced! The other outstanding reviews say it all and we are happy to recommend to others. We stayed in the room near the back of the property with a terrace and were lucky to have 5 days of sun to sit outside and have our preordered breakfast choices brought to us. Just wonderful - lovely locally sourced food or homemade and brought bang on the time we had asked. Although the room is advertised as being for dogs too, I am allergic but wanted the terrace. Caroline made sure that the room was spotlessly clean so that I didn't need to worry. We appreciated the extras - such as freshly made cakes every day and milk in a fridge in our room as well as beer, soft drinks and water to collect - all included. Both Chris and Caroline made us feel very welcome and we admire the organisation they out into their business to provide an excellent service.

Nothing - but I would recommend a room at the back as you can hear the cars on the road otherwise.

The room was modern yet so tasteful. The bed was just soooo comfy. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. We were able to have a breakfast of our choice delivered to the room. There was a fridge, and brewing facilities in the room but further drinks and treats available in the main areas. The room had toiletries which are useful and a lovely touch. Free WiFi that worked well. Free parking at the site. I loved the fact that there was an outside area with seating so you can enjoy the tranquil countryside (we literally only stayed In the room briefly as we booked it to attend a wedding)

It was probably a tad more expensive than we usually pay and we weren't in the room to enjoy it for long as we were at a wedding in Chatsworth but the quality and extras did make it extra special. Just a note that when ordering a breakfast to the room make sure you put in the special request section if you want sauces and butter etc with brekkie.
