Everything was immaculately clean in the room. And the bed was amazingly comfortable, me and my best friend had the best night sleep we'd ever had away from home! There were delicious handmade shortbread as well as a high grade coffee options. The deep copper bath was absolute heaven. The food at Bulls Head was absolutely incredible and well worth the price if you choose to eat here for dinner. The breakfast was also very tasty with a good variety of options. It is very convenient for a visit to Chatworth House. I should also say that although the pictures do not show a door between the bedroom and the bathroom, we were releaved to find there is one on arrival.

Excellent room and facilities. Lovely Breakfast and had an enjoyable stay overall.

Booked for an overnight stay after a day walking in the Peak District during our Christmas break. Had no idea when booking, only finding out the day before, that the restaurant wouldn't be open on the night of our visit, disappointed further to find out via a phone call shortly before check in, that the bar wouldn't be open either. Probably wouldn't have booked had we known this before. Would advise to check the accommodation website for the restaurant and bar opening times before booking. That said, this is the only reason for the overall score mark down. Would have been a solid 10 had we marked on the room and facilities alone.

A little gem of a place nestled in the Derbyshire countryside. Everything was just perfect..very friendly and welcoming staff. The room was fabulous..complete with its own free-standing copper lined bathtub! The owner Mark, who is also Head Chef has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable, including bathrobes. The food was of a very high standard and the couple sitting nexr to us had the 10 course taster menu and commented later that it was amazing! I would highly recommend The Bull's Head!

Breakfast was excellent, hosts were very friendly and helpful and the facilities were great. We also had a few drinks on the night of our stay and the Bulls Head projects a very cosy relaxing atmosphere. It is also within a short 15min drive from landmarks such as Chatsworth House, which was the main reason for our visit so location was ideal.

The green emergency light in the Double Room was very bright which affected our sleep quality a little bit. Also, the door at the foot of the stairs was difficult to open, not very convenient when it is raining! The above being said, we would happily come back again.

There is no signal so access to terrestrial TV is via apps (i-player, ITV-HUB, etc..) but the apps (other than BBC i-player) don't provide live streaming so if you want to watch a particular programmer real time other than on BBC, you can't. I appreciate TV isn't everything but there is nothing in the description that advises on this so you won't know you can't watch your favourite programme until you arrive. Also, the pub doesn't serve food on a Sunday evening but only found out when we arrived Sunday evening.

It was. a lovely old pub in the middle of nowhere, beautiful rooms with a fantastic copper bath, the bed's were so comfortable .The breakfast and the waitress were great.

We only had 2 niggles could here the pin toilet flushing when in bed and the menu was amazing for foodies, but as my husband suffers with a stomach disorder we found difficult choosing from the menu, just some plain old fashioned food goes a long way.

A lovely place , breakfast amazing & nothing was too much trouble. We even had a nice Chocolate brownie on arrival , very nice!

It can be a little noisy from the road next to the pub. However , it doesn't really cause any problems. It can be noisy hearing guests going up/down the stairs / closing doors to their rooms. The main rooms are literally off the main stairs. Given this I would certainly stay again as the food /location & staff were very good 👍

We had a lovely stay , the room with copper bath was the highlight of the room. But if you stay here you must book in the restaurant, we had the 6 course taster menu and we felt like we were on master chef it was outstanding & will definitely be going back. The breakfast was also best we have ever had, you could really tell the quality of the local products

To be honest there wasn’t a single thing we didn’t like

Comfortable room with luxury bathroom. Contained all amenities needed. For evening meal my husband and I had steak, best steak we’ve eaten in years.

We stayed for a Saturday and Sunday night. Didn’t realise until we were there that the inn closed at 6-30pm and only did food until 4pm. That might have been my mistake in not researching the opening hours and food options properly.
