Lovely large clean bedrooms, recently refurbished! Staff lovely and friendly and food was lovely.

Unfortunately we had several noisy neighbours, keeping us up most of the night, it would appear that they had caused mayhem to other guests! Typical British, we should have complained in the night to the out of hours number rather than grinned and beared it! This meant we had very little sleep! The manager couldn't apologise enough in the morning at breakfast, it seemed noone had range to complain, otherwise she would have dealt with it! This was a shame because overall the accommodation was great value for money.

Staff were all excellent in every situation and very friendly. Breakfast and evening meal was very good. The room was a very good size. Plenty of parking and a good location. Plenty of guests and customers to the pub on the Friday and Saturday shows this is a popular spot.

The room was surprisingly cold given the outside temperature was high - which is a good thing in the hot weather and the radiator could quickly be turned on to manage the difference in temperature so no problems. The bed for me was a bit soft - I like firm beds due to my back issues so may not bother other people.

Good size airy room and comfortable bed. Lighting much better than is usually found in hotels. Staff friendly and helpful. Good location with a bus stop nearby. Although the pub was busy the residential part of the hotel was fairly quiet. Although I did not drive there was a large carpark. Good breakfasts.

Unfortunately the staff were fully stretched at busy times and this resulted in inexperienced staff serving customers. The restaurant menu was quite limited for people who don't eat cheese!

The room with bath and shower, clean tidy, there was a problem with one of the bedside lights but that was sorted straight away, plugs with USB sockets brilliant, change of towels and I’d say generally very clean. The Pub was okay, very big giving people room to sit apart and perhaps away from those noisier ones, breakfast was superb and dinner was very good, the staff worked like Trojans and never seemed to stop.

Unfortunately no fridge! We do like fresh milk and a place to store white wine if we’re going out. For me the only downside was the liquid refreshment side, plenty of lager but in a Marton’s Pub just one draft ale!!

The bed was comfortable and it was great having a king sized bed. The location is nice — close to town without being right in town. After sightseeing for the day, it was great to be able to eat on site, and the food was good. The staff was great, too!

Not a complaint, but a warning that there are a few stairs that must be climbed to the rooms. There is a lift to avoid the longer staircase. There is no air conditioning in the rooms.

Room on ground floor was a good size, well-serviced and the TV worked well. The old inn had a good atmosphere and the staff were consistently helpful. The Quiz Night was a pleasant distraction!

The menu was heavy on frying and roasting and might be broadened. We are not vegetarian but would have felt quite narrowed in choice.

Staff are amazing! pub is great and have plenty going on, which is nice when your working away! Food is very good, reasonably prices as you get 20% off menu price when staying at the hotel. Unfortunately I was only told about the discount on my last day after spending 2 weeks at the hotel... Rooms are spacious, clean and comfy. You will struggle to find any downsides staying at this hotel!

Breakfast is a little basic and a little pricy but client pays so im not fussed.

Little surprised the building was surrounded by houses; however, that was much preferable to looking out over, for example, an industrial sight and it was very quiet. The room was fantastic, very modern and trendy and super clean; the furnishings and carpets were very good quality, in the public areas and corridors too - it was faultless and we were so impressed; it was great to get a very good evening meal with excellent service - the best steak I’ve eaten in a long time, and we had a very good breakfast, it was hot and served to us; so, because it wasn’t buffet style the food was still in the best condition when we ate it; the ingredients were excellent quality. Very friendly staff. The power of the shower was fantastic. Really liked the way the hair dryer was hung on the wall as in a hair salon - never seen that in a hotel room before, it was a quirky look and practical, much better than hiding the dryer away in a drawer. Really liked the open wardrobe arrangement, much better than a closed wardrobe. Have seen this before in Scandinavian countries.

There was only a family room available to us. Two adult women - one king size bed and one single bed. The single bed had no headboard and was quite hard and felt like it was tilting. This is why you did not score top marks for comfort. The king size bed was extremely soft and comfortable. The bedding was very good quality. Would have preferred to be served toast after eating hot breakfast as it was cold by the time we wanted to eat it, but that’s a very small criticism and barely detracted from our enjoyment of a superb breakfast.

Staff very welcoming and pleasant throughout. Food was very nice . Good choice on menu, prompt service and piping hot. Staff at breakfast time were so helpful and very accommodating. I will definately return.

Only issue I encountered was another guest left TV on loud overnight therefore I didn't sleep well. Not any fault of the staff. They wouldn't have been aware. I did inform staff the following morning but I fully appreciate this was beyond their control. They were very apologetic and it won't deter me from staying there in the future

a lovely room, with a very large and comfortable bed. the room was very clean and warm. the shower was amazing. being there over two of the Jubilee evenings, there was music on in the pub in the evening, which concerned us, but not a sound made its way to the room. we slept very soundly. the staff were very helpful and genuinely friendly. very good value for money and we are very happy to recomend if you are visiting the area.

wish the big wide bed was a bit longer to cater for us tall folks. inexperienced bar staff over charging for drinks, to be fair he was just getting the hang of the system and resolved the issue with no problems. just be aware and check for errors.
