OYO The Chatwal Boutique Hotel

It was in a good location just off the promenade but still in the heart of the attractions as well as very close to the beach, very comfortable room with decent storage space and easily accessible.

The only issue was on our last evening we payed to use the spa facilities (hot tub, sauna and shower) and was assured privacy and told that they wouldn’t mix guests, but were surprised when walked in on by the owner showing new guests while we were using the facilities, it made us uncomfortable, exposed and mildly ruined our experience that we payed £70 for.

I would like to thank all the staff for the amazing stay. We enjoyed our stay from the start to finish. We didn’t want to leave 😢 The hotel had a home from home feeling. The staff were exceptional and couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel was spotless and the rooms were very spacious. The beds were comfortable too! The food was top quality. The spa room was incredible and very good value for money. We also had a few of the spa treatments which were also very good value for money. We have stayed in quite a few hotels in Blackpool over the years but this hotel has been the best one and when returning to Blackpool we will not be stopping anywhere else. We can’t wait to return in September ! Thank you all for making us feel welcome. See you soon

The hosts were fantastic, couldn't do enough for us and helped out with my friends complex dietary requirements. The burger we had for our evening meal was extremely good. The room was clean, the bedding was clean and fresh and the beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets.

One of the windows in the room was draughty and it was a windy weekend so quite noisy. The shower was in the bedroom which was a little unusual, but as I was staying with a good friend it wasn't too bad. Would have been nice to know in advance though.

As soon as we arrived we were greeted by julius the owner and his son Clinton, they were so welcoming told us everything we needed to know and showed us to our room, we booked the penthouse and it did not disappoint it was clean and smelled beautiful, we had complementary snacks,drinks both hot and cold and also spa slippers and bath robes, the bath in the penthouse is a double bath for 2 people and is amazing, we had a sea view and a view of the tower itself, breakfast and the 2 evening meals we had were the best from any hotel we have stayed in (and we have stayed in a lot of hotels) Julia's, his wife dehdra and their son Clinton have been amazing nothing is too much trouble, we highly recommend this hotel and we will be returning soon

Nothing at all there is nothing to dislike

We stayed as a party of shall we say 3 mature ladies. One of our friends was celebrating her 65th birthday and we arranged for Prosecco and decorations to be put in room as a surprise for her. We booked a double deluxe room which consisted of 2 single beds and a double sofa bed. I slept in one of the beds and it was extremely comfy. The room was spacious enough for the 3 of us to get ready without being on top of each other. There was a kettle and plenty of hot drink selection and loads of milk which was great as the little cartons never last long enough but we had plenty.there was also bottles of water. The bathroom was spacious and clean and had a big shower. Bathrobes and slippers were provided should you need them. No hairdryer but we had brought our own anyway. We didn’t eat in the hotel for evening meal as we went to a show and ate there. Breakfast was excellent. We helped ourselves to juice and continental selection before choosing what we wanted for our cooked options. We all went for the full English which was cooked to perfection. After checking out we spent an hour in the spa. There was a hot tub, sauna and steam shower. This finished off our wonderful stay at a cost of £25 each for a private session. You can also have the usual spa treatments if you want which are reasonably priced. All in all we had a wonderful stay with Julius and his family and we will definitely be back

If I wanted to be really picky maybe a small fridge in the spa area to keep the water that was provided cold as it soon warmed up.

Made welcome from the moment we arrived. Family run hotel with a friendly atmosphere. The room was large, compared to most 'chain' hotels and well equipped. We dined at the hotel restaurant which has a Caribbean themed menu. To say that the owner/chef, Julius, was passionate about his food is an understatement. He is a perfectionist which shows in the taste and presentation of his dishes. Excellent food. My wife took advantage of the 'onsite' spa facility which she loved. Nothing is too much trouble for this family in order to make your stay enjoyable. We will be back.

These are observations and personal preferences, not complaints. Car parking to the rear of the property is very tight and not for the faint-hearted driver. Would have preferred filter coffee at breakfast, not instant. As a vaper, a seat outside of the front of the property to rest my old bones would have been nice.

Staff were very kind, provided amazing service that exceeded our expectations. There are excellent facilities. The hotel has a spa which includes a hot tub, steam shower, and sauna that elevated our experience. There is also massage available which we didn't get to try unfortunately, but we heard from other customers in the hotel that it was fantastic. The hotel itself is very clean and well kept. The room in which we stayed at had plenty of space and was also very clean. The sea view was also great to look at in the mornings and the beds were very comfortable. We also had breakfast and dinner at the hotel which were wonderful to eat. All in all, it is definitely one of the best experiences I have had from a hotel. Looking forward to be coming back in the near future.

Nothing to fault.

Lovely appointed hotel. This is Blackpool so the rooms are never massive but the room had everything required and tastefully done. You can tell time and money is being spent on raising the standard of the building and its rooms. The staff are all lovely, very helpful and welcoming. Great location, a very short walk to the seafront but not noisy. Lovely breakfast. Never tried any of the hotels facilities as we enjoyed ourselves too much in Blackpool.

The hotels car parking space is very limited but the staff do their best to organise guest cars into a small space. However if you are using your car on a daily basis then it might be more inconvenient.

Literally everything about this hotel is perfect. We had a wonderful welcome from Julius and Clinton on reception and a delicious rum cocktail before heading up to our beautiful room. The rum cocktail we had was delicious, the breakfast was yummy, the water pressure was good and the tv had lots of channels to choose from. We didn’t use the spa but we had a look - it’s wonderful. Whilst the rate is a bit pricey, you get it privately for an hour and there for treatments too. The hosts are just wonderful and can’t do enough for you. The location is perfect and just 5-10mins from the football ground and tower. We will be back for sure!!

Only tiny mention would be the car park. Whilst there is parking, it is VERY tight to get into and depending on what time you get there, you could be boxed in.

i chose this hotel as the reviews were very good and I definitely was not disappointed the location is great the hotel itself is the best I’ve stayed in at a coastal resort the decor throughout is amazing the food was unbelievable even though we only had breakfast I wish I had now had an evening meal there there was secure parking around the back of the hotel free of charge and the people that ran it are amazing very friendly from the moment you get there to the moment you leave nothing is too much trouble for them I would definitely recommend this hotel we will definitely be back in October for the illuminations
