We travelled by train to get to the resort. Then found the right bus. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the bus stop was at the end of the street. Tip-use the no 11 bus and not the tram. There is a tram stop nearby at the opposite end of street near the beach but who wants to wait! Our landlord couldn't be more helpful with us when we checked in. I found it especially useful with the breakfast menu checklist. This allowed us to make specific choices about what we wanted. With breakfast 8.30- 9.30am we were able to have a little more time to get ready. Our room although small was compact and bijou. It was over the kitchen so I awoke to the smell of bacon and sausage wafting upwards! Joy! Nice clean room and compact bathroom- what more could you want! We were able to leave our bags and pick them up later as we were here for an event. To sum up excellent service, excellent facilities and excellent value!

Perhaps making sure the bedroom window could be fully opened to allow cool air circulation. Perhaps hiring a bird of prey to frighten off the noisy seagulls. Funnily enough they were very quiet on the second night of our stay.

John and Sam were fantastic hosts and very helpful. The family room had a balcony, and all the beds were very comfortable to get a great nights sleep. Breakfast was cooked to order each morning and made with good quality ingredients. The hotel is location is great, at the bottom of the road is the tram and bus stop.

It might have been nice to have a new order sheet for breakfast everyday incase you wanted to change anything, rather than what you ordered on your first day, you then got every day Rooms weren't checked every day of your stay to see if bin needed emptied, toilet rolls needed or to see if fresh towels were needed. However, when we needed more supplies, I emailed the hotel directly through booking.com, and the hotel responded straightaway.

I was worried about finding a place to park but I shouldn't have. It is free parking on the street (don't park on the path as people were getting tickets) If there is no space, speak to the hosts who will help guide you. Theres a car park in front of the building on the corner which does charge but speak to the hosts first. Rang the bell upon arrival. Hosts answered the door very quickly and very welcoming. Instantly felt friends. Arrived a little early and only had a few minutes until the room was ready. We stayed in a twin room for 2 nights. You are given a breakfast tick sheet so you can choose exactly what you want to eat from the long list which includes a range of cooked breakfast items as well as cereals. Cooked breakfast also comes with toast and if you want marmalade, butter, milk and juice, it is ready for you when you sit at the table. You can have jam etc all you need to do is ask. Toast, tea, etc is brought out when you are seated. The room we stayed in was a twin room and was clean and the bathroom has a corner shower with sliding doors, toilet, and sink etc. The beds were really comfy and we slept well even on the first night which I usually struggle with. Couldn't get the TV to work but I don't own a TV at home so not an issue at all and I completely forgot to mention this to the hosts (sorry). Free internet and the code was on the wall and was a good speed. The area is closer to the pleasure beach than the tower but only a walk up the road or even a tram ride if you like. The tram stop is at the end of the road (turn right out the door and its about 2-3 minutes to the beach and tram stop. If you turn left out of the house (less than 1 minute walk) you have a bus stop and also a little shop/newsagents, chinese takeaway and other shops. Hosts very friendly and chatty and felt that nothing was too much trouble. If we come back to Blackpool this will be out first choice to stay.

The only downside was the sink was quite small and you have to be careful not to headbutt the bathroom cabinet when you brush your teeth but that is very workable!

I had booked The Salendine for a family trip for the easter weekend. Both of our hosts were excellent!! Super friendly and made us feel so comfortable immediately. Allowed us to check in early as we arrived much earlier that we thought, which was great for us! The room was clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was tasty and came quickly once we had sat down. John was always checking with us and making sure we had everything we needed and that we were happy with our room. I highly recommend you stay here while visiting Blackpool

There was nothing. Everything was perfect.

Nothing to dislike just a suggestion for the family room maybe to have a bunk bed as some people don't like to share a bed

We had a lovely stay at the salendine. We had the family room that slept 5, came with a lovely little balcony to sit out on which we didn’t expect. The room was compact and a little but didn’t bother us as that’s what you expect in a b&b at Blackpool, room was light and airy, also was clean. The breakfast was gorgeous, good quality food. John the host was such a nice man, nothing was to much trouble. Location is good right in the middle. We would deffo book the this b&b again when we visit Blackpool.

Booked very last minute 2 adults 1 child. 1 night B&B. We were made very welcome by the hoist he was very friendly. We arrived a little early room was not ready. However he booked us in gave us our keys and put our belongings in our room. The room was basic and a Little dated however had everything we required. The room was clean including the bed/bedding. Had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was fine everything you would want from a breakfast. Nothing was too much from the very friendly hoist. We would definitely stop again for a flying visit.

For a couple nights stay there was nothing I could grumble about. Could do with the decoration colour selection toning down.

We had a VERY friendly welcome from both John and Sammy, sammy carried our bags and showed us to our rooms. Room was good, could see the sea from the balcony and short walk to the sea front. Room was a good size, clean and had own bathroom and balcony. Breakfast was ordered the night before lots of choice and catered for both vegetarian and our allergy needs. (Was a small wait for the main breakfast but for 2 people doing it alone they did amazing and nothing was to much hassle). Drinks from the bar were cheap, was happy to top up our kids juice bottles ready for the hot day ahead. If John was needed and wasn’t around we just rang the bell and he quickly arrived. He recommended some local paces to eat and booked it for us which we found very helpful All in all very happy with our stay and will come again if we visit Blackpool in the future.

Our only down side was the front door but only seemed to be us who couldn’t work it haha, but John did spend a fair amount of time trying to teach us the nack.
