Connaught Lodge

Comfortable room and beds, air con was great as it was a warm room. Bathroom small but very efficient shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was good, plenty of choices. Location was a bit further into central Bournemouth than we thought and had a hilly climb whatever route you took. Swimming Pool was good as was jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Didn't use gym or spa treatments.

Decor in Lodge was tired and drab. Bedroom had large brown old fashioned furniture and was dark, always had to have lights on. We were right above the function room so very noisy at night we had two weddings on during our stay.

Everything was faultless - in my opinion and experience of our stay, the Connaught Lodge was on the level of any "Hilton Hotel". The suite was very welcoming and afforded every comfort possible. Breakfast was delicious with an extremely wide and varied selection. The staff were faultless and served us as expected with speed and politeness. All guests had a choice of dining inside the dining room or in the garden area with table umbrellas, which had a very "tropical ambience with Plam Trees and running water", which gave a feeling of pure relaxation. The hotel's location was perfect - near to every possible facility that you could have wanted and was just moments away from the beach and its facilities, with the town centre close by for shopping and exploring.

There was nothing we did not like about our stay at the Connaught Lodge. We were given the best service possible and our stay was very enjoyable.

Hotel is in an excellent location for beachfront and town. Suite room in lodge was very spacious and comfortable. Good range of food at breakfast. Good Spa facilities although could do with a little rennovation

No parking available and no help given to find alternative parking. When I did manage to park in hotel carpark I was charged to park (should be free for hotel guests irrespective of who you booked with). Weddings going on both nights at the hotel which was fine but should be separate from main hotel guests- tried to sit in the bar but too noisy from music from the weddings

Breakfast was really good, and the lounge/ bar area was pleasant . Nicely themed hotel with modern decor , brazerie restaurant food was excellent

The best location in Bournemouth, the beach, is 5 minutes like the town centre.

The room was tiny-tidy, bright, and faced to the south. Maybe this is why the AC was set at 16 degrees when I arrived. It was freezing cold. Anyway, you can set it back, no problem. But missing the fridge and waking up to a gunshot every 5 minutes is a problem. No, it was not a gunshot; the room door shut was so loud, and the doors were so close to each other that you could hear everyone coming and leaving their room, slamming their door behind them. No, it was not their fault; you couldn't close the door any other way, only with a massive yank.

We liked and enjoyed everything during our minibreak, staying in the Lodge accommodation. Staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The pool/steam room/Jacuzzi were wonderful (Spa was out of order during our stay). Breakfast was really good (even the seagull was entertaining in the courtyard!). Complimentary water and regular refilling of the tea tray was very helpful. Everywhere in the hotel facilities was so clean.

Not a dislike, but note for improvement - some hooks for hanging clothes in the bathroom would be very helpful. A better flush button to stop your finger nails being caught!

I stayed in the Lodge which is a short walk through either the garden or car park to the main building. Lodge was pleasant, no instructions on how to get in but doesn't take Einstein to figure out you have to go to the main reception to check-in. This was a simple process and the room was a single so small but adequate and comfortable. Bathroom small but then again on your own it served its purpose. Breakfast was very good, I only went for the cereal and fruit but others were tucking into the full English which looked good. Staff filled up my water bottle and put some ice in as it was a hot day. All very smooth.

All good. Car park at £8 was a bit steep as there was street parking nearby which looked free but was busy so I guess a bit hit and miss.

Accommodation was very good. Stayed in a standard double room which was tastefully decorated with a beautiful bathroom. Bed was extremely comfortable. ALL the staff were always on hand and went above and beyond the call of duty. Too many examples to list, but suffice to say the staff worked extremely hard, responding to queues immediately at breakfast and always with a smile!! Customer Service at its absolute best! Well done!!

Room was a very good size with easy to use air con and central heating and clean. Bathroom was a very good size with a large bath tub and large separate shower with good water pressure. We slept well as it was very quiet in the hotel. A short walk to the seafront and a bit of a 'hilly' walk into town,about 10- 20 minutes. A local shop is just round the corner and a few places to eat out. We used the hotels swimming pool,jacuzzi and steam room. It wasn't over crowded and was relaxing. The breakfast was great,full English or continental and other options available. The staff where very friendly.

The TV took a while to load up. Not being guaranteed a parking space. You pay at the end of your stay if you used the car park overnight. It's first come first served,so if you go out and return to no spaces left you have to find somewhere to park down the road, I thought the £8 per day guaranteed a parking space. Bed was a little hard for me personally and I'd prefer softer pillows.

Breakfast g Room service very quick even If not planned. Staff were helpful and Nice. Room was big and clean.

The magnetic cards for the entrance were not working good, at some point we couldnt enter inside wwith none of them. Bathtub is a bit too small, but it's a bathtub, still happy. The king Bed was actually made out of 2 twin beds. You can feel the middle part splitting.
