The room was a good size and perfect for a couple. It was quiet and totally relaxing. The other guests were nice and pleasant although there wasn't a great deal of contact with other people staying at the hotel due to no bar or dining area. There was ample parking at this location and although we stayed for 7 days in June the parking was free and in abundance.

As there was no breakfast cooked at this hotel it would have been nice if an arrangement was made to eat at another nearby hotel that did cater for breakfast. (but we knew this before we booked it so no issue ).This is the only gripe we had, however we will be going back there in the future. The location was a the top of a steady climb so not ideal if you have mobility issues.

My friend and I stayed here to compete at a cheerleading competition. It was well located to get to the International Centre, where the competition was held, as well as the beach and other fun areas. The property itself was gorgeous, well-appointed, and impeccably clean. Staff was also really friendly and even got us a room with air con…which was desperately needed during that heat wave!

I don’t believe there was any kitchen on premises, so I couldn’t refrigerate some items.

The room was great, quiet and clean, bed was comfortable. The location is very good. I would recommend.

The TV was kind of old and cheap would be nice if this was updated. The man who greeted me on reception had a bit of an attitude problem and that annoyed me the minute I walked through the door. He kind of accused me of adding a home phone number rather than a mobile and I felt like he was trying to tell me off for it. I filled in what I was asked to fill in and mobile was not stated. I didn't appreciate that as soon as I arrived.

From arriving to the hotel, we were greeted by a friendly team. We had arrived earlier than our check-in time, and the Hotel team took that on board, and got the room ready and available instantly. The owner was a very kind man, and very helpful to providing me with useful information about the local area, directions and helping with arranging dinner plans. He was also very attentive to my family and children, and made us feel very welcome and safe. We also, last minute decided to stay another night because we enjoyed it soo much, and he was very helpful in arranging that seamlessly. I will certainly be staying at No.5 Durley Rd again on my next visit to Bournemouth!

The hotel did not serve any food, but I didn't mind too much as there are many local places to grab food.

It was very clean and tidy, with good parking and friendly staff, my room which was a single had a really nice bed which was really comfortable and a comfy duvet and pillows, the towels were really nice as well not harsh like some hotels. Had a really nice shower and worked perfectly no damage in perfect working order and of course, the little body wash and shampoo were actually quite nice and smooth with a nice smell, and it was not far from the beach (7 minutes walk) but far enough from the town so no noise at night i was very happy with the price as it was on a bank hoilday they were quite reasonable. I would be more than happy to use this hotel again

The room was slightly too small, but that's being a bit picky, to be honest

Lovely hotel in period property, with welcoming and helpful staff. The room was fab, and the bed comfortable, with a great selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate & biscuits, to enjoy on arrival! We found it straightforward to park at the hotel, even better that it was free, when so many other hotels close by were charging. It was an easy walk either to the sea front or into town. It was a perfect place to enjoy our weekend stay.

The shower room is lovely and modern, but on the small side, due to the shape of the room! The air conditioning unit didn't work and was leaking constantly over the dressing table/desk area - this is easily fixed, but not whilst we were there!

I had a wonderful and peaceful stay. No issues. Had a late check in which I had previously told the hotel about. The owner was very helpful with getting me checked in to my room over the phone. It might have been because it was a week day, but the hotel was nice and quiet, and I had one of the most peaceful sleeps I’ve ever had at a hotel. Rooms lovely, clean and well presented, although room space was a little small (not really a big deal for me personally). Bed comfy. I loved the view to the garden. 5 min walk to nearby takeaways and restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

Bathroom was quite small, and overall size of room. But it was a double room, and it wasn’t a problem for me as a solo traveller. However, I could see how it might be a bit cramped for a couple.

The room was lovely, clean and had a double bed. They offered a great range of drinks, (teas, coffee & hot chocolate) provided bisuits and bottle of water too. The bed was so comfortable and I slept great. Curtains totally blocked out the light which also helped. The staff, Parish (sorry if I spelt the name wrong) & Isobella were absolutely amazing. So friendly, polite and helpful. I was able to check in earlier, as my room was ready and also managed to check out a little later. Really appreciated this. Thanks for the biscuits Isobella. Really lovely bright, hardworking young lady. Both made me feel so welcome, which is great, as I was travelling alone. The location was great and allowed easy walking distance to the beach, town centre and lower gardens. If I was visiting Bournemouth again, I would definitely try to book here again. I recommend this hotel to others too. Big thanks to all the staff team at No. 5 Durley Road.

Some of the other guests were quite noisy when coming in late. Didn't show any consideration for others, as they slammed their room doors shut. Maybe some notice to remind guests to be a little more mindful of others might help. Would've been nice if room had a blind similar to one in bathroom, as people from street or across the road can see in if you're in the room. Overall not too much of an issue though as spent most of the time out.

The location is good. It is basically 10-15mins walk to high street shops and the beach. Can get food and coffee just around the corner. The room is clean and comfortable. We stayed in deluxe double room and it comes with A/C, a sofa and lots of space in the room. Free carpark is a plus point. This hotel has been renovated and compared to nearby hotels, i want to say this one definitely worth the money!

There is no lift in the hotel. It’ll be great if they serve breakfast.

The hotel and room were nicely decorated. Lovely large bed. Plenty of tea, coffee etc available. We thought we may be late getting there but staff kept in contact making sure we could have access when we arrived. We were on time!

The shower cubicle was small. I'm 5'3" medium build and felt it small but my partner struggled being a big built 6' man. As there was a sliding door to the bathroom the cubicle could have been bigger or at least have a door opening out instead of an inner opening consertina door. On a safety aspect the outward opening windows should have something to stop them opening fully.
