This was a very well run hotel even though it was recently taken over by new owners. The staff were very helpful without being asked. The beer at the bar was excellent. When the owner realised we were on motorcycles he offered to let us keep them overnight locked in his function room. Fantastic service. The hotel was only a short walk from several other pubs and a wide variety of takeaways and restaurants. There was a large beer garden with tables and benches. The room was comfortable with Free wifi. Breakfast had a choice of menu, the full English we had was filling and had all expected ingredients. Excellent value for money. Recommended hotel.

There was nothing about this hotel I did not like.

Accommodation - Good sized room, comfy bed, essentials fully replenished daily, towels changed every other day, fresh linen half way through the stay, clean bathroom and, to cap it all - fully working air con. As good a standard as any premier inn for about 3/4 the price. Meals well cooked.

Not a wide drinks selection in the bar, but the locals tell me the place has only been re-opened for a couple of months, so maybe that will expand in time.

Great staff. Decent breakfast. Hilarious clientele. Nice big room. Great base for the Pont Neath Vaughan waterfalls.

Although we should have booked in advance, surprised that they couldn't cater for us to have an evening meal. We were told that they had too many bookings and not enough food. In reality, the restaurant wasn't too busy. Instead, we were told that we could get a takeaway and eat it in the pub, using the pub's plates and cutlery, which we did.

The room exceeded our expectations in every way. The breakfast was delicious well cooked and great value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful… one of the best stays we have ever had. The location was great for the waterfall and Welsh beaches and scenery. The location was quiet and we had Aircon. The owner had only been there 3 weeks we wish them a successful business - keep doing what you do 😀

Well situated, breakfast was very filling ! Host was extremely affable and friendly. Enjoyed our brief stay. Would use again.

Perhaps late arrivals (we got there at 2145) being able to at least order a drink at the bar. Place was not exactly active (admittedly late on a Monday), but other than that all was good.

Didn’t book breakfast as we had to leave early but evening meal was excellent.Bar lady was on her own and was superb as she had to book food also. She deserves top credit for a Saturday night as she never stressed at all

Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Room was very comfortable and well maintained. Shower was lovely and warm. WiFi was fast. Breakfast and Coffee was promptly served and great value.

Clean modern room, bathroom not as modern but clean.

Just be aware it is above pub, it didn't bother us as it is good for dinner and a drink but on Friday was busy.

The rooms are beautiful. Breakfast is really good. The owner was very attentive and kind.

Unfortunately the selection of wine was very limited.
