What a beautiful hotel!! Clean, comfy and decorated to a high standard with excellent finishing touches. My friends and I had a lovely stay at this little gem of a place. We were looked after from the minute we stepped through the door until the moment we left. To say we were welcomed with open arms would be an understatement, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time and our needs were catered for. The manager was particularly helpful, nothing was too much trouble for him. We only wish we could’ve had longer there. I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone and won’t hesitate in going back again.

Friendly staff, great location. Room was MASSIVE, very clean with everything you would need for a short stay.Stayed a couple of times now and will be back again later in the year.

Bed wasn't the comfiest, it was huge but not very comfy. However my largest grumble is where were the bloody Welsh cakes?!?.. last time I visited there was a wee pack of Welsh cakes with the tea and coffee.This time it was caramel waffles! ...I'm in Wales I want Welsh cakes please! Could also do with getting the side door fixed as only being able to enter through the bar is a bit annoying.

A massive thanks to Mark and his team for making my stay such a fantastic experience. I don't often leave reviews but on this occasion I felt compelled to share my experience. The atmosphere from the minute I stepped in felt very classy. I was seriously blown away with the high end feel of the place for just a fraction of the price. Already planning my next visit and will probably stay longer. The live music on the weekends is also such a lovely touch. I could write a whole essay on how lovely my stay was but I don't have the energy. Instead I'd highly recommend this establishment and if you ask the manager Mark, nicely enough he might do a Tom Jones number for you 😉 See you soon, thanks Nder Transport for Productions Ltd Director

I booked the room as i was working in the area The room was very quirky, clean with a very comfortable bed. The staff were also brilliant and very accommodating after i arrived at the hotel just as the kitchen in the bistro was about to close ( 8.55pm ) and they cooked me a fantastic tasting pizza. The bistro itself was also fantastic, had a very relaxed atmosphere and unique vibe to it. I thought it was also a nice gesture that the hotel provided me with a £5 Greggs gift voucher because they couldnt provide breakfast the following morning. The room was absolutely amazing value for money and i'd highly recommend it. I'll be definitely staying at the hotel again when i'm in the area

Beautiful rooms and great facilities. Great drinks & food prices in the bar downstairs. free parking in the area. good selection of bars in the area. spacious rooms. super helpful and friendly staff!

the new menu is fantastic with a great range of choices. not sure if there’s a supply chain issue but they never seemed to have the vegan options on the menu. meaning at breakfast we had to cancel a big order so that we could all eat together elsewhere in the area.

The room was spacious, comfortable room and the staff was friendly and extremely helpful. We appreciated having fresh towels and the coffee being replenished each day. We ate a couple of meal in the bistro and enjoyed them both.

The room is above the bistro, so, as one would expect, it was loud into the late evening. It didn't bother us, but it might be something that others would want to consider.

The town was lovely and the scenery around the town was stunning. The hotel decor was lovely and modern and felt fresh and bright. We are at the bistro one night and it was great too. Wifi signal was also good and the room was a good size. There was good live music on the Saturday night as well but the sound from the pub wasn’t loud in the room at all. Would definitely stay here again!

The only thing I could criticise was the seal on our shower tray (room 2) was dodgy and water escaped when you used it and there was a damp smell in the bathroom from when this had happened before. I had also asked for a firmer pillow and the staff apologised and said they had ordered some but they hadn’t come yet so good that will be there the next time!

From check in, room, drinks, food, service and comfort of the bed everything was perfect. Even the price of drinks and food was excellent. This hotel is in the village of my birth, but we completely felt like we were on holiday and I can't even express how proud I feel of the Cardiff Arms. It really is the jewel in the Crown for Treorchy and well done to the owners and staff, everyone was so professional and yet, friendly and helpful.

Location within Treorchy can't be faulted (its a small place) and Treorchy was a good base for exploring this part of South Wales, around half way between Cardiff and the Brecon Beacons. Value for money was superb and whilst you need to go to Greggs (short walk down the high street) for breakfast the hotel gives you a £5 gift card to be spent on anything. Staff were really friendly and I was pleasantly surprised to see how busy the bar was.

I couldn't hear the bar at all but I could hear the other rooms, mainly the toilet flushing next door which woke me up in the night but for the money can't really complain!

It was clean, easy to check in and out, really well decorated and up to date.

The room was very warm, I had all windows open and had a fan going the whole time just to cool the room down but it was still very warm, not sure if there's heating pipes or a boiler room beneath but it made the temperature in the room quite uncomfortable. Everything else about the room and hotel was perfect, also the staff were really friendly and helpful.
