Tadross Hotel

The chalet that we was staying in was beautiful and very clean, amazing facilities and the staff were always very friendly and polite. Made us feel very welcome. Also had very good parking facilities.Me and my partner were very surprised when we had house keeping coming round every two days making sure we had everything we needed. Brilliant service.

Due to the hotel having a bar there, many people outside in the garden till very late at night till 11pm which meant me and my partner could not relax when we had been out all day. Then few nights into our stay we had been out all day and got back around 8pm and all we heard was shouting and music coming from a customer of the bar and so we had to close our windows baring in mind our room was very hot even though we both saw a sign saying that the garden was closed at 9.30pm due to residents in the chalet.

Staff and landlord made us feel very welcome they were very helpful. Free parking on site with cctv for peace of mind. The price of the drinks at the bar were reasonably priced. There was a pool table, live sports on the TV, The room was very clean. good size bathroom, with a smart TV for entertainment including YouTube, we would definitely stay again.

The only minor thing I would recommend, by no means a complaint, would be some blinds for the bathroom as it was frosted glass, very large great for letting in light but not as private as I would have Liked. Regardless we enjoyed our stay.

I felt that the accommodation was about right for the cost of the room. It was clean and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I was travelling alone and thought it was nice of the owner to check in on me as he had not seen me. I had come to see the locations of where the show Gavin and Stacey had been filmed - so I was really pleased to be able to have a drink in the bar that had been used and the staff and locals were happy to talk about the filming and as I was on my own take photos for me.

It would have been nice to have a chair in the room to sit on instead of just the bed.

The staff and owner: Mike, Sharon (?) and another member of staff (may have been maintainence) were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and the location was quite good too..near shops and the station. It was quiet at night and during the day, considering we were above a pub. The housekeeping ladies (one blonde lady and one with brown hair...didn't get their names)were lovely, talking about the area and replenishing coffee. Very friendly and bubbly. The shower was good, plenty of hot water. Kettle was clean. Plenty of hangers for our clothes.

All minor details.. The bed felt small, and had quite a soft mattress and the bedside shelf is attached to the headboard and very close to the edge of the bed. The second and third night, I wrapped a pillow around them to stop us banging our heads. The toilet had a paper shredder which made a loud noise and would also go off when you washed your hands (but could have been next doors loo?) Curtains could benefit from being blackouts. But like I say, all minor details and we would definitely return. Thanks very much, all of you. :)

The building is old but modern in a beautiful way. The fact that giving and Stacey filmed 🎥 there that cool. The staff were second to none. The hospitality was amazing it was like walking into our own home. The regulars were a laugh and the bar ladies were amazing people I will be coming back in the future 🥰😍🩵. It's a 10 minute walk 🚶‍♂️ from Barry docks train station 🚉 and it has everything in one street shop opposite it and just all out amazing atmosphere. I don't drink often but just being in that environment I had a tipple or two. Did I mention the staff when out of their way for hotel guests too. To make you feel comfortable. Loved every second last night thy say being present is when life stands still and I didn't want last night to end. Paying for it with a hangover though. I'm grateful for the staff and hotel and hope it has many years to come of amazing nights. X

Nothing

Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for the staff and owner. The bed was comfortable and Mike happily switched us to an accessible double room when my daughter mentioned it before we arrived (booking dot com hadn't fed the message through). Our room was a good size and it wasn't noisy at all.

A minor thing: could have done with a chair so we didn't have to sit on the bed all the time...may be it's an age thing. Would definitely return! Thanks again.

We had a lovely stay, the room was sooo clean and the staff were helpful.

The only thing that could have improved our stay would have been a mini fridge in the room, for milk etc

It's a budget hotel, so with this you'd expect a certain level of stay but the hotel exceeded on every level. The lady who checked me in was extremely friendly, the room was large and comfortable, and despite other reviews, my room felt safe. It might not be in the best location and comes across as a little rough around the edges, but give these guys a chance; they're genuine and full of character. I'm just gutted I couldn't make it down to the bar to share a pint with the locals who roasted me when I arrived!

Once we got into the hotel the staff was helpful and friendly. We had checked in early as we were going to a festival near by and they let us put our bags in one of the rooms until the rest were ready.Our rooms where clean and a good size aswell as the bathroom. We went into the bar in the night and the locals were friendly and made us welcome.

When arriving the place on the outside looked a little rundown.
