Struan House is a lovely period property, very comfortable and full of interesting antique furniture and ornaments. Giffie and Robert are wonderful hosts full of stories and the breakfast selection (cereal, fruit, yoghurts etc was comprehensive and the hot breakfast was perfectly and freshly cooked and included both haggis and black pudding. The best feature is the communal table in the wonderful dining room where all guests sit together and chat. This made the stay exceptional!

The property and hosts are great. Buckie doesn’t have too many options for dinner so might be worthwhile to book in advance in busy periods although we got a table at The Brig and Barrel on Giffie’s advice

Located in the square of Buckie, a grand old building, with excellent sea views over the Moray Firth. Very clean, and tastefully decorated. Very comfortable beds, and rooms have good facilities, ensuite, large tv, kettle, tea, coffee etc. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Excellent cooked breakfast in morning. Ample parking beside the building. This Bed and Breakfast is excellent value money, and I'm sure that no one would leave disappointed.

The only fault I can mention is that the floorboards in my ensuite squeeked but that is trivial. So honestly nothing to complain about.

Brand new place for me. Excellent location on Moray coast with adequate parking. Cosy room and quiet room with expected level of facilities. Breakfast was a very generous offering for the price I paid and cooked very well. (Lovely Indian restaurant within a couple of minutes walk from this accommodation.) Although the location is a bit out of my way, I would use it again.

Nothing! I would recommend visitors look up places to eat dinner in advance as there isn't much available locally after 7.30pm.

I had a lovely spacious room - far from the broom cupboard that some places offer single people. Bed was comfortable, shower was great, host was a delight. Couldn’t be happier. Not many places to eat/drink in Buckie for a single woman so spent a bit of time in my room - would have welcomed a more comfortable seat. Trivial point though - overall I was more than pleased with accommodation.

As above - the chair in room could have been more comfortable.

What a gem of a find. Giffy was a wonderful host & couldn't do enough to help. The Struan House Is spotlessly clean & the beds are wonderfully comfy. I had the best nights sleep. I started work too early to be able to have breakfast in the hotel. But Giffy sent me on my way every morning with a breakfast bag, which was very much appreciated. I look forward to staying there again soon.

Everything was perfect with my stay

easy to get to,easy parking,easy entry,unobtrusive staff,choice at breakfast and double aspect and view from rooms. ND

Lift advertised and not functioning,and no chance of getting repaired seemingly,one of the reasons i booked there and the first thing i was informed of.I do have mobility problems although Robert took one of my cases up the stairs. People should be informed at time of booking and because of that i think a discount is due, as a genius booking .com customer was i not due a 10% discount. Not keen on one large table for breakfast with everyone,not best in morning and the one factor that may stop my return.

The house is amazing. The decor, although so different to our normal choice, suited the house perfectly. There is something of intrerest wherever you look. Our hosts had taken care of all details and we had a very comfortable stay. In the morning all the guests sat at a large dining table and we were served a very tasty breakfast - it was great to be able to chat with the other guests. Parking was easy and the flowers in front of the house as well as around the little town were so pretty. It was conveniently situated to be able to visit Portknockie and the Bow fiddle rock. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Struan House. The hosts were very welcome and accommodating, the room was lovely and the breakfasts were delicious. I left early in the morning for work (photography) and our hosts kindly provided a healthy breakfast to go which was waiting for me by the front door at 06:30. My partner had a lie in and really enjoyed the cooked breakfast. We hope to stay here again and we would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We felt covid safe at all times.

It's very difficult to think of what could have been better with our stay. Our hosts were so welcoming and the room was lovely. So there is nothing about our stay which we didn't like.

Beautiful old house, very friendly people. Very comfortable beds, bathroom nice. Clean and tidy with little Bears dotted all over the place. Breakfast was wonderful, so much to choose from, just need a bigger tummy to do it all justice. Nice quiet area. Slept well.

The room smelt very musty, probably from the old furniture but we got used to it by morning. Otherwise it was absolutely perfect.

I had a warm and friendly welcome, with help offered with parking, dinner and more. The house is beautiful, absolutely immaculate and full of beautiful and personal touches. There were some nice touches, such as dressing gowns in the room. My room had a sea view, and was cosy and very comfortable. I had a delicious vegetarian cooked breakfast.

Nothing. The hosts are very experienced, and wanted to get everything right.
