Breakfast was yummy. We enjoyed a few drinks at the bar and mingling a bit with folks from town. The staff was friendly.

Feels like it has recently been renovated/decorated. Comfortable night's stay, very welcoming staff. Lovely bar and restaurant with great food, whisky selection and local beers. Friendly and cheerful staff. The room for the night and breakfast were terrific value.

Can't really complain to be honest! The restaurant seemed to be a little tricky to find from the street, a lot of people came into the bar looking for it, but the staff showed them where to go. There's no dedicated car park for the hotel, but I didn't have any trouble getting parked on the street nearby.

This was a last minute reservation as we weren't sure if we would make Dufftown in time or would have to stop on way north for evening. Hotel was very reasonably priced and neat location. Rooms were a bit small but in no way was this an issue for an overnight stay. Would stay again without hesitation. We didn't get a chance to try due to time but seemed like a very well stocked bar downstairs. It's a village hotel so one can't expect rambling spacious building and rooms, for convenience and location it was perfect.

This may not impact most people but I would have liked to be able to sit in the breakfast earlier earlier than breakfast to do some work on laptop as hotel room is relatively small. To be fair didn't try the door so maybe it was open but I don't tend to just start opening doors when in a building I don't know. :-)

The scottish breakfast was really delicious and the staff were lovely, and Dufftown is lovely. A great spot if you're visiting the whisky trail or at a wedding close by etc.

The hotel has a sign suggesting you join them for a drink in the evening because they recognise it can be noisy while their bar is open, so we did join - and the hotel/bar staff were friendly as always, but it was made quite clear from a couple of the locals in the bar that they did not appreciate English tourists being there...! Just a word of caution.

No trip to Whiskey country in Scotland is complete without a visit to Dufftown, and The Whiskey Capital Inn is the perfect place to stay. This wonderful old building is lovingly cared for by the staff and is quiet and peaceful. We had a lovely evening walk in a woods less than half a mile up the hill from the hotel. The other hidden treasure in Dufftown is the historic train that runs from Dufftown to Keith. This short trip is relaxing and harkens back to a slower time and is worth every minute.

Staff very friendly and helpfull, and the owners little son, who helped out at breakfast, was a polite gem, and a credit to her :-) The breakfast was really nice, with plenty options to choose from. It is made freshly to order, and you do get a big hearty portion 😋 We found the bed very comfortable, and we slept like a log 😊.. it is very quiet there after closing time. Booking . Com does state that there is " Free Private Parking" this is not the case, and parking is on street, which is not a problem, as there were plenty spaces. I would stay there again, and would recommend 😊

The whisky collection at the bar was impressive and well stocked. The staff was very helpful and flexible, as the requested (and confirmed) two bedded room turned out to be a room with one double bed. An extra room with a single bed was offered without further ado. Breakfast was good.

The quality of the evening meal was average. There is definitely something to win there.

Very nice location in the center of Dufftown. Kind and prepared staff. Large and spotlessly clean room, very large bathroom, especially large shower. Very confortable bed. Great restaurant service, very clean location, modern furnishment, very good food, lovely beers.

Room lighting a bit dim.

Stayed here with my friend from America, we were visiting some of the whiskey distilleries. The location was ideal, set on a very nice village square - within walking distance of several distilleries and the whiskey train. The staff were very welcoming and accomodating. The food was really good, the bar has a great atmosphere and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

We were looking for accommodation to allow us to attend a wedding reception at nearby Aswanly which we couldn’t stay at. We found parking on the road around the commercial inn and then gained access through the lively public bar. The lady behind the bar showed us to our room. The room was bright clean and spacious and had a lovely clean en suite. The room appeared to have been recently redecorated and was in very good condition. There were small bottles of shampoo shower gel and conditioner in the en-suite for us to use. We had a very peaceful nights sleep and we requested breakfast at 10 am which was no bother at all. We were greeted by a lovely lady at breakfast time and asked if we would like a cooked breakfast. Husband had a cooked breakfast and I had scrambled egg on whole meal toast which was very good indeed. Plenty of tea and cereal and yogurt to enjoy also. We will look forward to our next visit
