Banff Springs Hotel

The hotel is modern, clean and rooms are well appointed. My small single en suite room had all I needed for the two nights I stayed and the bar and restaurant areas are nice places to eat and drink with nice views over Banff Links to Whitehills. Staff at reception were very helpful including the night porter who let me in and got me a glass of water to take to my room at 4am. Although the hotel is on the edge of town, with Banff not being big, its still easy to walk into town, down to the sea or to other places of interest.

Although informed of this at the time of booking, the wedding music from the function room can easily be heard in the room although it was over by 1am.

We were greeted by a very helpful receptionist who set the standard for all the staff who were exceptionally attentive. The hotel as a whole is spotless. The bar where we had drinks and dinner had a good atmosphere with a mixture of guests and some locals. The food both at dinner and breakfast was very good and again great service from the staff. The rooms were clean. It was quiet so had a fabulous night’s sleep( other than the seagulls at 4.30am!) I would highly recommend. Great value for money

Nice views of the sea from the bar, comfortable, stylish and in good order. I enjoyed the evening meals. Staff friendly and helpful, good service

The room only price was high and should have included breakfast at that price. There was noise of a boiler or something similar in the middle of the night. Blinds might have helped keep the room cooler.

The room was comfortable,clean and well maintained,The view from the lounge bar was good. All in little to find fault with

I’m afraid the staff were a bit of a let down we decided to eat there,and went down at the agreed time.Although there were at least four young girls working ,and there was only a dozen people in the room,were not asked what we wanted to eat or drink for a half an hour.Then my wife got the wrong meal,but decided to not say. There did not seem to be anybody in charge of the staff,and they lacked direction .

Good size room with large modern bathroom. Dinner very good

We were often woken up by the outer door that was near our room (35). It could not close without banging shut loudly. We often heard people coming and going and waited for the resulting door bang. Very annoying. The room smelled a little smokey until we opened the windows to air it. We closed them afterwards as the area outside was used as a smoking area.

Very modern well kept and clean hotel with large rooms and great facilities! Lovely bar with very fair priced drinks and food! Great location for banff and local coast, good carpark. Will stay again if I'm ever back in Banff !

Thermostat on radiator was broken so heating was on full heat all night so had to open windows, probably a good thing for most people. Shower pressure was quite low too but overall the bathroom was very good.

The room was unbelievable, super romantic, I booked the Luxury King Room(Banffshire) and it exceeded the expectations from the photos, would highly recommend, however, you may or may not get unlucky like we did, the room next door had their TV on full blast for most of the night, seems like they loved the TV being at 100 decibels for falling asleep.

The Room that connects to the Luxury King Room(Banfshire) had their TV loud for most of the night which was super annoying, not sure why they must like the loudness of a TV for sleeping. The room was fabulous and exceeded expectations, but we didn't get the best of sleeps for this reason.

As a weekend stay in a very outdoorsy part of the country where weekend pursuits normal require an early start the advertised breakfast not being served until 7:30 is very late, although your staff did serve me breakfast just after 7 am when I requested it , thank you

The meals were quite expensive but the food was of a very good quality, breakfast was very good and again very good quality ingredients being used, the staff were probably the most helpful and cheerful I have ever met on my many many hotel visits. The view from the restaurant is nothing short of amazing.

Food was a tad pricey

Brilliant full Scottish Breakfast served here. Sausages, bacon, tattie scone, black pudding, fried egg, tomatoes, all very nicely presented and tastes delicious. Nice building and beautiful hotel interior design. Definitely will be back, great place to set you up for the day.
