Everything except the points raised below.

The administration could be better, e.g. being given the wrong code to leave the carpark, opting for breakfasts on my arrival but the dining room remaining unaware of this throughout my stay, taking my card details on my arrival but bar staff similarly having to confirm this during my stay. I was in Room 2 which is separate from the main building; there was constant noise outside my window during the day and above and to the side of my room early in the morning; if the hotel insists on letting this room while so much work is going on then this should be reflected in the price.

Right in the heart of Buckingham but not noisy As good as it appeared on booking & great value Very spacious room- a suite rather than a room Clean and well kept Good facilities including tea and coffee and iron Comfy Very large TV

Could have done with more towels and other items e.g. tissue ran out quickly as we're not fully stocked. Had to request more. Although water was provided with no fridge or ice facilities ( there was ample space for one) it quickly went warm. Nice bar area but would have liked more access to cans/ bottles that could have been utilised in my own room over a period of time.

This is an historic property having once being owned by the Duke of Buckingham. They serve a wonderful breakfast, and dinner is also very well presented. We stayed in room 2 which is on the ground floor next to where the stables used to be. Parking was free but tight as the spaces were not designed for the wider SUV vehicles, none-the-less we navigated the space with no problems. The room was very comfortable. We enjoyed the friendliness of the staff and would recommend the hotel for visitors to Stowe and Bletchley Park

- Great staff (including the hotel manager who is amazing and very sweet). - Beautiful restaurant and Laura Ashley Tea Room. - Super comfortable beds. - Warm and cozy interior decor - Perfect lighting which allows us to fully relax and chill. Room faces the courtyard and we can fully open the windows to get fresh air, while the heating is keeping the room warm. Bathroom is fab and the shower is hot enough with sufficient power. The amenities, variety of teas, coffee (and espresso machine), bottled water, and cookies are all abundant and pleasant.

Ideal location for the centre of town

The only accessible room was very hot! It was like there was underfloor heating in the bathroom & the towel rail was on, not ideal during very hot weather when there's no window. Complained to reception who immediately provided fans and even offered an alternative room. Unfortunately I had to decline this due to being with my 95 year old Mum. Maintenance said no heating was on, believe me it was. Spoilt which would otherwise have been a lovely hotel. I also left feedback at reception about the knob type handle to the bathroom, this definitely needs to be changed impossible to open and close for an elderly person. My Mum got stuck on more than one occasion.

The staff were excellent (Hollie) also bar manager late on 24th June........excellent! Room superb quiet and very comfortable. This hotel was a real discovery for us and we would happily recommend it to everyone. Managed to park at the back OK.We were warmly welcomed and offered all assistance.

Could have with more outside lighting making our way from the car park at night. Also.better signage to the. car parks. Apart from that ......all great.

Location in centre of town with parking on site. Food was excellent. Staff very attentive & polite.

Fire Alarm on arrival so couldn't check in immediately. Amother Fire Alarm just as we were going down for Dinner. Spent time outside while staff checked the building. All dealt with efficiently. On our return, we went to the bar but no Barman was available. The Fire in the Bar was very smoky so door was open which meant we were cold so had to sit with our coats on .

Location, cleanliness, spaciousness of rooms, quality of the food offering.

Breakfast service ends at 9:30. That’s unusually early for a hotel. The food was great but the service was average or below average. Waitressing standards need improvement with one or two exceptions. Ringing reception often results in nobody answering the phone. The mattress in our room 112 was not very comfortable.

It was great to return to Villiers after 11 years. We had our wedding reception here in 2011 and the anniversary card was a nice touch.

Our package deal included an evening meal and breakfast. We felt this was misleading as the evening meal was only an allowance of £26 per person as we found out on our arrival. So to advertise it as “meal included” is not right as we couldn’t get a meal for £26. The mains started at around or above this price. We had already paid a good deal of money for the package and then to be told it didn’t fully cover our meal and we would have to pay extra was very disappointing. We feel this should be clearly stated when advertised. Also in the suite we stayed in (The Hay Loft) there was an adjoining fire door to another suite. We could hear every single word of the couple staying next door as if they were in our room.

Convenient to town centre and brought back memories

Breakfast, overpriced for poor quality. Ist morning told no eggs for English but could have scrambled!!!!!! Only I morning out of 4 was breakfast hot and worth eating. Self service fruit, yogurt etc was not inviting. Bathroom sanitary ware very dated. Burn marks on carpet where hot hairdryer been put, stains on chairs. Told certain drinks available in Dukes bar but they weren't when we ordered them. General appearance in hotel gone downhill except in new tea rooms and reception. We had our wedding reception at Town Hall and Villiers 26 years ago and were disappointed to say the least. Amber, Davina and 2 ladies on reception were very helpful and pleasant
