The rooms are in a beautiful cottage behind the pub. My room was beautifully decorated , with beams and a rather spectacular bath and shower. The room , was more like a suite. There were some nice touches, eg I was given a jug of fresh milk to put in the room fridge, for tea/coffee. The pub itself was quaint, but with modern touches. I enjoyed Sunday lunch, which was one of the best I’ve had. Another great stand out, were the staff, who were all charming, and couldn’t do enough to help. A special shout out to Miles, who made sure I was comfortable, and had everything I needed. Very impressive!

I liked everything about the property, but did manage to bang my head a couple of times on low beams… I am tall, but it was part of the extraordinary charm of the cute room…

The rooms were really super - warm, luxurious bedlinen & towels, such a comfortable bed, huge bathroom with walk in shower area like a spa area. The service was really warm and friendly, coffee was first class and Gary couldn't have done enough for us to accomodate our work requirements. Wifi was excellent quality. A short walk down to the River Thames and beautiful setting for morning walk along the river with wild geese & moored river boats - a real escape from town. Convenient to both Henley & Marlow, you definitely need a car, though there is a bus service from right outside the door. The pub & rooms recently re-decorated.

Breakfast was limited and a little disappointing (not a lot of choice & no cooked breakfast). Bathroom toiletries were also limited - no shower/bath gel. Some herbal teas would be a nice addition at the coffee/tea station in the rooms & some biscuits!

Lovely setting, though the road was a bit unnerving sitting in the outside courtyard. The room we stayed in was Hibiscus, which was lovely especially the bed , possibly the best bed we have slept in. Situated half way between Henley & Marlow it was an ideal place to stay. A short 10 minute walk to the Thames and a 5 minute drive to Marlow and Henley. The food we had was lovely and the staff were incredible, they made our stay.

As above the road outside, needs to be a 30 or have some traffic calming measures.

Beautiful room mixing old with modern. Good location, friendly welcome. Had dinner in the bar, which was fantastic (don’t forget to order breakfast if you want it though!). The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Beautiful, modern bathroom with a huge bath and a separate shower.

The eves and beams in the room were beautiful, but a bit hazardous when not used to them and a very low door into the bedroom too, which is fine unless you need to get up in the night! This was an upstairs room, so maybe request a downstairs room if you’re tall or clumsy! Heating very efficient in the bedroom but bathroom area remained cold. Lastly, could’ve done with a mirror in the bedroom.

A beautifully renovated historic cottage. The room was luxurious, with comfy bed, huge bathtub, excellent lighting and quirky features. It was 10mins down the road from Marlow and the Hand and Flowers where we were eating. The cottages are lovely and quiet, but you have the pub next door for drinks and food too. it’s a short stroll down to the river if you want to stretch your legs

Nothjng not to like. Our room did have some very low beams so you might want to pick rooms carefully if you’re tall. Also no breakfast- but plenty of places in Marlow.

The owners were super friendly on our arrival and at all times throughout our stay. They offered us a free bottle of the local beer too when we got there. The bed was exceedingly comfortable and we slept fantastically. We also chose to eat in the restaurant in the evening and the food and service was also great.

The breakfast was nice but not cooked food (unsure if just continental was mentioned on the advertising), but it would have been lovely to have hot food before a long day of walks (even if it meant paying a little more).

great location near but to everything but away from the hustle and bustle of city life, loved the large quirky rooms, ours had extremely low beams but we were warned about it beforehand, and the bathroom was amazing so well worth the minor inconvenience Great host showed us to our rooms giving us a wonderful talk on the history of the area

shame no cooked breakfast was on offer, however many very good options nearby so not the biggest problem

We stayed here for one night and both the place itself and the room was amazing with a super comfortable, and large bed! The bathroom was quirky and fabulous and was like stepping into a hobbit hole to get into. The double rainfall shower heads and handheld shower head, alongside the LED lighting made for a lovely ambience. The room although what some may consider on the smaller side (we were in the Poppy room), was well laid out and air conditioned, and there were towels and dressing gowns for us upon arrival. The room also had plentiful tea and coffee facilities, and a fridge. We were also brought a continental hamper for breakfast which consisted of croissants, ham and cheese, butter and jam, selection of fruit, fresh orange juice, 2 yoghurts and a bottle of fresh milk. The TV had Freeview and could also connect to Netflix, BBC iPlayer and Amazon Prime. We ate out in the restaurant on the evening we arrived, and the food was exceptional! There was a good choice of food and drinks, and even treats and fresh water for dogs. The checkout process was as simple as placing your key in the box on the wall on the way out! If we were in the area again, we would not hesitate in booking here, it was simply amazing! Parking was plentiful and the parking spaces of a reasonable size.

The room was lovely and only 3 miles from Marlow. A really good shower and a comfy bed.

It was advertised as having breakfast included but this wasn't the case. There were no breakfast options and apparently, this had been the case for seven weeks. Unfortunately we booked ten weeks in advance and we're not notified. Even the confirmation received from Booking.com on the first day of our stay said breakfast included. We had yo drive into Marlow and spend an additional £20+ on breakfast.

It’s taken me a little while to post this (sorry). We had the most fabulous stay at The Dog & Badger for my partners birthday. The bright and friendly gentleman Ryan was there on our arrival. He showed us to our room whilst telling us some interesting history about the pub/cottages. The room was really quirky and had a beautiful bath tub with all the facilities one would need. Just a few low beams to look out for but that was no issue. Dinner was delicious & reasonably priced. The pies were delicious, as were the starters. The pork belly bites were great! They left some breakfast items (which we weren’t expecting) in our fridge for the morning which was very kind. We can’t thank Ryan and the other lovely lady working in the restaurant that evening (sorry we didn’t get her name) for such a lovely stay, food, atmosphere and overall experience. THANK YOU!
