The room was nice and included all the amenities we needed. Despite the bar/restaurant on the ground floor being extremely busy as we stayed during weekend nights, we couldn't hear a peep from our room! The bathroom had good water pressure and temperature, and extra pillows were ready for us above the wardrobe. The restaurant was very reasonably priced so we ended up having breakfast there as well as a late night pizza which we brought up to the room. Check in and check out was easy.

Our room was a little smaller than we would have preferred especially as we had our toddler with us. Beyond this we have no complaints.

Very much enjoyed our stay here. Had to check in at the bar which was fine. Friendly and courteous staff. We were on the second floor, even though there was some street noise, as soon as you closed the window, you could not hear anything. We had a good sleep. Beds were very comfortable. We did not see anyone at the reception for checkout, but staff had let me know at the start the room was paid for. When we left, there was a box at the front near reception(express checkout) and we left our room key in that. (It was a locked box). If ever we needed to stay in Dunfermline again. we would return here.

At the moment, nothing comes to mind.

Stayed in quite a few Wetherspoon Hotels. This certainly is an interesting one, being probably the most prominent building in Dunfirmline.. An exciting mix of period and modern décor throughout the pub below. which is fun. Rooms were of the usual Wetherspoons standard

Not the cheapest Wetherspoon I've stayed in, but I guess its a matter of time of year, etc. Additionally the bathroom was slightly dated, still retaining a bath with shower curtain. It is located in the pedestrianized area, so parking could be an issue. I parked for free about 10 minutes walk away, so no great problem.

This was our first experience with a Witherspoon hotel and we were very pleased. The location was right where we wanted to be and we enjoyed an evening walk around Dunfermline. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, and the price was a good value. Once we found our way in, the staff person at the bar was friendly, informative and efficient.

We expected to check in at the hotel entrance. Who wouldn't? I'm glad one of us noticed the sign that said we must check in at the bar, which meant going in through another entrance. Once we found our way in, everything was fine. Breakfast was a little disappointing. Other hotels make it easy to have a lighter breakfast of cereals, fruit, toast and yogurt. Witherspoon hotels charge for breakfast and require ordering from a breakfast menu. We were in a bit of a hurry to catch an early train, so breakfast was disappointing.

Very clean and well replenished. Staff very polite and helpful. Comfortable room with seating for two. Huge shower and plenty of hot water. Will be back

In the bar/pub it was very cold due to the air-conditioning being on full blowing cold. I understand when it was very hot outside, but the temperature dropped and temp of the Aircon did not change. We were going to eat there but decided against it because the food would have been cold within seconds.....Great price bar, clean and well kept. Toilets down slot of steps.

Room 101 was massive. Twin room with comfy beds and lovely thick quilts. There were wee directional reading lights at the side of the bed. Perfect lighting for when you're in bed. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits were all provided. Rain shower was fantastic and the towels were big, soft and thick. Breakfast was just downstairs and came very quickly after ordering. Creaky floors everywhere but the building is over 400 years old so gives the room some character. The hotel is very close to the Alhambra so perfect for going to the theatre.

Unfortunately can't do anything about parking near the location so had to walk from a nearby carpark.

Travelled for an event held in Edinburgh. All in all the experience was pleasant. Had some initial snags as someone else checked me in without me there but that was rectified in the end. Facilities were satisfactory. Perhaps in future I’ll stay in the area of the event I’m attending as not many taxis would take me there and no trains/busses were running due to the time of day. Not the fault of the hotel. If it were in Edinburgh I’ll stay all the time. Staff were great & the food was great

The check in experience wasn’t great. Took almost half hour as I was checked in by somebody else by mistake. Was eventually sorted but that delayed us and we missed the train we needed to go to Waverley

Friendly staff very polite perfect location Room very welcoming

Only issue was that the running of bath water wasnt hot enough . Even though water from wash basin was very warm The fan when bathroom light is on was very loud Had to keep key in as my partner gets disorientated if getting up during night so had to leave light on in bathroom Would be a good idea to have a night light or something similar Other than the issue as stated a very pleasant stay First time have stopped in a Wetherspoons Hotel If all are like yours we both would be happy to stay Thnkyou

Other hotel brands really should take notes from wetherspoons hotels. Let's just start with the bathroom 1st the showers amazing 2nd storage loads of space bravo 3rd heating in the bathroom well done wetherspoons . The rooms where a great size nice comfortable beds nice biscuits and hot chocolate in the room and having an ironing board available in room great touch .

The size of the pillows could be a little bigger but that just a pure preference I'm sure to some this is about fine . Also the curtains could either do with being a bit bigger or being Velcro to wall so not to let so much light in (just an idea)

Convenient for the town centre and the Alhambra. Clean and comfortable room. Staff are pleasant, helpful and hard working.

There is a notice at reception instructing all guests to check in at the bar which isn't ideal. After checking in at the bar(joining a queue of folks getting a drink) I had to go back to the reception area for access to the room. A buzzer at reception would have saved me from dragging the case through to the bar from reception and then back again. It's a bad first impression, but we'll be back.
