Sunday breakfast was not up to standard as it was a buffet . The choice was good but cold. Tea making from a flask was also inconvenient and cold. Breakfast on Monday was very good . Good choice of fruit or cereal and the served cooked breakfast was very good.

The room was adequate. Breakfast was self service on the first day, which I presume was due to the exceptional number of people to serve, as I imagine there was some sort of 'do' on. However, after that we had table service. Plenty of parking spaces. We had room 23, which had a door to an outside patio with table and chairs, a lawn and woodland behind. Lovely friendly staff, particularly the young lady on the reception desk.

Only single glazing, so there was condensation on the windows in the morning. There was central heating, which wasn't on (in November), but there was an extra electric radiator, so that wasn't a problem.

Breakfast was excellent everything you needed and more with very attentive staff. The hotel was situated within 5 miles of the attraction we wanted to visit and there is plenty of parking in front of the hotel.

The rooms are accessed by two sets of stairs one for ground floor rooms and one for the upper rooms also a short set of stairs to enter the lobby so could be a bit awkward for anybody with a disability.

Room and balcony was lovely. I asked for a little romantic gesture as a surprise for partner and it was done so thank you! Food was good. Beautiful location. The parking attendant, Mr Potters (the peacock)!

Myself and my partner do not like shower curtains, and our bathroom had one but that is the only negative thing I have to say! Otherwise, shower was great! Possibly more vegan options on menus too.

The main thing that stands out for me is the exceptional service of the staff. They are all very friendly, attentive and happy to help. The waiting staff at dinner and breakfast were all fantastic and nothing was a problem for them. The gluten free options for dinner and breakfast were extensive everything was explained about possible gluten traces. The reception staff greeted me with a smile and made check-in very easy too. All staff knew what they were doing :)

unfortunately the bathrooms in the hotel rooms are a bit of a let down. They are clean and efficient and the shower was excellent, they're just a bit shabby and dated.

How relaxed I felt and had everything in one that I needed

The fact that in this particular room 39 I could not plug my phone charger in next to the bed but all I had to do was ask reception for an extension lead witch was no problem for them thanks again potters herron

The breakfast was good and tasty, and the staff was very attentive. We did have an evening meal which was nice, a little pricey though. The lady at breakfast deserves a medal, she was on her own with a busy dining room.

Lots of breakfast options, comfy bed, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The room was very clean and organised, housekeeping were excellent.

The bath could've used a bit of tlc and resealing but was perfectly clean.

Very pleasant restaurant and bar. Lovely friendly/helpful reception staff and bar staff. Nice building... lovely setting. Comfortable bed. Overall nice place to stay and would stay again.

Main building smells a bit damp and the rooms are starting to look tired. Could have done with aircon and extraction fan in the bathrooms. It was a very hot weekend and the room got quite stuffy. Couldn't draw the very heavy/noisy curtains to open the balcony door in the wee small hours for fear of waking my partner. Don't get me wrong this was not a big issue but just pointing it out for improvements sake.

It was a lovely place for my Grandaughters wedding. Clean comfortable rooms. Lovely wedding room and beautiful garden to take photos in
