I loved the views you got from your hotel room, the fields one side, and the beautiful "courtyard" garden. I liked that it had a traditional type pub eating area, aswell as a conservatory which was lovely and light when we had breakfast. It's a nice setting. Also all staff were lovely.

I wouldn't say a dislike more a constructive criticism, if you were to drive here at night you could quite easily miss your hotel as no lights (including our taxi driver!) The signpost just leading up to the hotel would be a great idea to have a spotlight there, as sat nav sends you past. In the daylight you'd see it, if you'd taken notice of what hotel looks like! I think the breakfast time from 8am-9am, should be made to 10am.

On the edge of the village overlooking open fields. Massive car park, well kept gardens - a bonus with the clear blue sky and early morning sunshine. Comfy room with all the facilities including tea/coffee making facilities and TV, ideal for the 'after party' wind down. Breakfast was really good, hot and plentiful, nothing was too much trouble.

Bitter(beer) served ice cold, a fault of too many hostelries nowadays - a minor quibble from a seasoned ale drinker ; )

Friendly staff, lovely location, very quiet at night.

No fault of the six bells but booking .com have taken payment twice. Payed back in December when accommodation was first booked, then received an email from booking .com on the 3 rd of July to say payment was going to be taken on the 4 th of July, contacted booking.com to stop the second payment going to be told they could not stop it ( it’s a system thing) now waiting for this to be sorted out, if I was to book again would book directly with the six Bells.

A quiet village country pub situated with farmland all around - the English Ideal. Rooms were in a converted barn and very comfortable. We didn't eat at the pub in the evening but the breakfast was one of the best and freshest I've had; service was exceptional especially the large G&T's bought to our rooms whilst changing for the wedding. Plenty of parking and a much appreciated friendly greeting after our four hour drive.

I left here without anything negative to say - most unusual for me.

Room was located in the converted stables. Comfortable bed. Very quite and peaceful with a view over the fields of Barley. Dinner, Delicious, Particularly enjoyed the side salads. Breakfast. Freshly cooked and delicious quality produce. Lovely staff on arrival and during evening dinner service.

Sorry but the shower, although hot was very low pressure. WiFi kept dropping out so had to keep reconnecting lap top.

Excellent breakfast, cooked to order. Cereal and yogurt , fruit juices, coffee and tea available. Had an evening meal which was very good. Olde world pub , pretty, set in fields nearby a pond and charming village. Walked to see the windmill , a bakery and a church. Our room was clean , comfortable bed , had a good night sleep. Clean towels offered the next day. Lovely , friendly staff.

Bathroom was on the small side but hot water for the shower was plentiful and clean.

The Inn was in a lovely village setting, duck pond etc, very old building, quint, chocolate box. The staff were very friendly, they were having a private party in the garden in the evening, which we were made to feel welcome to join & thoroughly enjoyed the 80’s music. It was a hot evening, so the staff got us an electric fan to use, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked.

Nothing, everything you would expect was supplied.

The staff, the food and the accommodation were fantastic from start to finish. Absolutely love the place. We must do as it was our 5th if not, 6th stay. Polly, Bobby is missing you again already and can hardly wait to see you in June.

Maybe Wi-Fi is a bit iffy but certainly not enough to detract from our stay. Other than that, brilliant!

Everything! This is an excellent get away, in the middle of wheat fields, beautiful country on every side. The garden here is amazing with lots of places to sit and relax. The owner is friendly and accommodating as is his wife and all the staff. The food, wow, I defy you to find better in any 5* restaurant, it’s delicious. It’s great value for money, we will definitely be going back. Especially as it’s dog friendly, we took our 2 cocker spaniels and they also throughly enjoyed themselves.

There was nothing not to like about anything.

Six Bells is a very friendly country pub with a lovely pub garden, at its best in Spring when all the bulbs are flowering. The rooms are in a chalet-style extension around the garden, so all ground floor and safe from any noise in the bar, but on a crowded Saturday night in summer you might get noise from the pub garden. The pub is situated on the outskirts of the village of Bardwell surrounded by fields of a working farm. Pick the time of your visit carefully if you are allergic to oilseed rape! Bardwell is convenient for Diss and Thetford, in a rural location but not too far from the A143. The rooms are very well decorated, perfectly clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. The food was well cooked and presented.

We had a twin room which included all the usual facilities, but the bathroom was a bit small and cramped so probably not comfortable enough for a long stay, and the walls are thin. You could not move a wheelchair around the room. The WIFI did not cover the bedroom. There was not much choice for vegetarians on the dinner menu.
