A friendly warm atmosphere when we walked in. It had a nice feel to the place and a warm welcome. The room was lovely very spacious and good decor. It made a nice change that the family room actually had a second proper bed, unlike a lot of family rooms we have stayed in that have a fold out bed for the second bed. Big shower, and well appointed bathroom. We had a meal, it is a very popular place to eat, so even if you are staying I would recommend that you book a table in advance. A good menu with many vegetarian options.

Lovely country pub - rooms huge and comfortable, bed was heavenly, we slept very well. Everything spotlessly clean. The food was excellent - a notch above “pub grub” with interesting specials. Breakfasts are great. The welcome is warm and friendly - the owner and staff work hard to deliver a great experience. Great location close to A1 and beautiful Dales countryside. Highly recommend.

Great staff, the Lady on the bar ( think she said Ashleigh) introduced herself, happy and smiling, nothing too much trouble. Excellent Breakfast cooked to order, and hot. No awful toaster !!! Parking on site. Quiet location. Big spacious room nicely decorated. Evening meal good too.

Just a small thing but the only sockets were underneath the dresser so not so accessible for us more mature folks!

Located in a lovely quiet scenic village outside of Bedale . Meals excellent, facilities very adequate and clean, room large quiet and dark at night which is wonderful. Very comfortable mattress. Temperature of bedroom ideal no heating required as it's summer. Staff and owner very helpful. Prompt service. Choices of breakfast and times available.

The stay was ideal, I was at the races just a few miles away so the location was great for me. To my surprise the food was excellent, certainly a few classes above pub fair, it was a real delight. The staff friendly and attentive, and so were the locals, nice get a pub with atmosphere again.

There were no negatives

The owner was very accommodating in terms of where we could eat, as we weren't keen in eating in a room full of dogs so he kindly opened up another room for us. The pub is in a lovely spot and was spotlessly clean.

It's only a small pub so if you're not a dog lover and there's a few in then it might not be for you. However this is a minor point as the rest of the stay was fabulous ( including a great breakfast).

It was lovely to be able to enjoy a very tasty dinner after arriving. Great food, including the breakfast. Rooms were very comfortable and spacious and wonderfully peaceful. As it’s a smaller, individual inn, it’s more personable.

It would be nice to have a (folded) luggage rack available to make it easier to unpack suitcase/bag Would love to see freshly cut/prepared fruit (salad) as an option on the breakfast menu

We received a very warm welcome on arrival, the room was beautiful, modern, clean, spacious with every facility you could want. We had a meal in the pub at night which was lovely, and there was some great beer on tap. We were lucky to have stayed on the night of a charity auction, fantastic atmosphere, we were made to feel welcome by all the locals, great night. We had a very restful nights sleep, followed by a superb breakfast. Absolutely loved our stay at the Greyhound it’s location is fantastic, we went there after a trip to the forbidden corner. I would highly recommend the bed and breakfast we will be visiting again soon.
