Wonderful warm and friendly welcome. Food was well cooked and really tasty. Stayed two nights and rooms were quirky and clean with comfortable beds. We were staying to attend our brothers funeral. Shout out to Nathan (aka Dermot) who was so accomodating, personable and went the extra mile to ensure our visiting family members, who were staying elsewhere, were made welcome too. Would not hesitate to stay at farmers arms again when we visit in happier circumstances. Thanks to all. Highly recommended.

Location was great. Danielle was brilliant, she went the extra mile for us, we booked late & had a 4 hour journey so were concerned we may not make it, she emailed me to advise that she had arranged with management to waiver the room charge if we didn't arrive in time & I got the impression she'd have stayed behind if necessary. It meant a lot. Thank you Danielle x

Breakfast wasn't for us & it was a shame it went to waste as I understand whatever gets left goes in the bin. Not an issue, we like a full English & we found what we wanted at the Brewers Fayre not too far away.

We had to buy bacon buns from The Shack in the car park.I had hoped that at £75 per single some breakfast - even continental could have been provided. If morning staffing is an issue how about offering in the room some single packet cornflakes or similar with milk, and some fruit, for us to "self service"?

having to resort to bacon buns in the car park (or erven taking them to our rooms)

Have ate here on many previous occasions while travelling up and down the country for Stock Car racing. Used it this time as a stop over. Price was brilliant for a quadruple room including breakfast. We ate in the evening in the restaurant. There has been a drastic change in the menu from previous visits...hubby was looking forward to steak pie and our friend the lasagne but these were no longer on the menu...seems to have went a bit higher end but the food we did choose was lovely. Would definitely visit again on our travels.

Bathroom roof was covered in black mould due to lack of ventilation, hot water tap just kept spinning and the bin in bathroom hadn't been emptied from the previous occupants. All small things that are easily remedied.

Very nice place Great for a base which what we needed. Nice big room very comfy. Easy to get to. Staff where very pleasant and helpful. Quiet on a week day evening. Would stay there again

Was on busy road. Had to leave windows open on a night as there was no aircon. Which made it noisy. A fan would have been nice to cool the room down.

Everything was very good, very comfortable and the food was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The one small downside was that there was no breakfast available which would have made the stay perfect but understand the kitchen is part of the pub so not available. We were directed to local places though.

Lovely friendly helpful staff as soon as we arrived we felt looked after, the gentleman told us that it was quiz night that day so may get a lil noisey but we didn't mind anyhow when your room is above the bar area you expect a lil noise. So we fancied some food so decided to dine there and o my word what beautiful delicious well presented food 10/10 portions mahooosssiiivvvee, definitely recommend 👌. And on a Thursday is quiz night so we decided to stay for the quiz then as we were to full to move 😂 aww what a lovely night that was me and my partner no brain between us 😂 but the lovely quiz man😊 was lush and sneaking us some answers 😂. So yes if your looking for some great food, friendly lovely staff and a lil entertainment I highly recommend this place. Thankyou to everyone who made our stay memorable 💖 xx

Everything was amazing 🙂

The breakfast was fair I didn’t like the selection of cereal provided it was more for a child’s palate. Good to have a small fridge and real milk that was impressive.

The shower was poor no hot water very disappointing. The room had several steps which was difficult for my husband as he is unsteady on his feet. Partly my fault I should have mentioned that when I booked.

Location was handy for the Wensleydale Show we were visiting. Ample car parking. Our room was very large (a family room) and attractively decorated; it included a settee. Towels were new and fluffy. We thought it might be noisy as the pub was busy but once it closed, bedtime was quiet.

The duvet was thin so I would have been cold had I not taken the duvets from the single beds. However, I'm sure extra bedding would have been brought if I asked. Packeted breakfast cereals but adaptations for the pandemic may account for this.

It was close to the wedding venue we were attending. Staff were friendly and beds were comfortable.

I had not read the description correctly and didn't realise the breakfast was in the room. My hubby was very disappointed he didn't get a full English. Walls were very thin could her all conversations in next room.
