Harbour Hotel Richmond

The hotel has a lovely location, at the top of Richmond Hill and near the entrance to Richmond Park. The restaurant is good and has nice spaces, both indoors and outdoors. Having access to the health club and spa was great; there are very good workout facilities and a nice pool, and lovely outdoor spa area with hot tubs.

The room/bathroom was nicely renovated, however the lighting in the bathroom is a miss. The light over the sink is insufficient and shadowy. A small maintenance issue that we requested on the first day went unresolved throughout our long stay. Housekeeping happened very late each day, often in the mid to late afternoon.

We stayed for one night only and didn't have any breakfast. The spa facilities are excellent, and the three outdoor hot tubs were great! The location is perfect as there's the river with beautiful views nearby and many restaurants to choose from if you don't wish to eat at the hotel. The staff were kind and polite. Will definitely visit again!

Children under the consent age were coming in and out of the sauna and steam room, slightly disrupting my inner peace. The room we had was facing a brick wall and would've been nice to have some form of a decent view.

Nicely decorated rooms with very, very comfortable beds (although I'd prefer a down pillow to foam) great location for walks along the to river

Although I understand that The Gate bar and restaurant aren't run directly by hotel, it's worth checking opening times. For some bizarre reason both closed at 9pm, during Christmas week with a completely full hotel. Reception didn't seem to have any idea why it was closing early. Such a shame, as when we visited last summer we dined and had drinks in the bar, it was then very busy with great food, nice place to spend the evening. Part of the reason we chose to come back.

I had a fabulous stay. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The facilities were great. For two nights, I slept really well in the most comfortable bed. I was most impressed by the staff. Every single staff member was professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. They did their best to make my stay the best it could be. I especially want to pass on a big 'Thank you' to the reception staff, for helping to manage my taxi, which was late. They calmly sorted it all out for me and were so patient when I was feeling anxious. Thank you. The restaurant was such a haven with amazing food. I definitely want to come back to the hotel for another visit. It was so lovely to be greeted with smiling faces and a friendly greeting whenever I met the staff as I walked through the hotel. They made me feel very special.

There was nothing I didn't like. Everything was perfect.

It's a beautiful building in a stunning location and the spa is very good. There were a few things I needed to ask the staff to help with and each time they were very helpful and kind. Complimentary gin and tonic is always a nice touch as is a Nespresso machine in the room. The room itself was extremely comfortable and cosy - possibly the best shower I've ever had! I had a short stay to deal with a family emergency, but I will definitely be back for a longer stay in happier circumstances and have more time to enjoy the spa and the beautiful parkland. Thanks to the staff for looking after us!

I attended a wedding next door and tried to stay there by booking directly, their automated booking system would not accept my payment and when a member of staff started contacting me the price just went up!!! I don’t like using emails and far prefer texts!!! Your price was stated and you never tried to bump it up! I thought the gin and tonic’s where a lovely touch and your pool and spa are amazing! I live in California and will be recommending all my friends and family to the Richmond Harbour Hotel! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

The parking was complicated, I parked next door with the wedding party!

It's a very pleasantly decorated hotel with a comfortable room and was an enjoyable place to spend time. The staff were wonderful. We were able to make use of the spa and pool after check-in which was great. It wasn't too busy on a Sunday so the pool was quiet and the outdoor facilities also. Richmond Park is essentially across the road so it's perfectly positioned for that. Town's a little further to walk but it's not an arduous one and comes with viewpoints.

Parking is available but there aren't likely to be too many spaces available depending on when you visit. The only other thing I could highlight is the unfortunate placement of the fixtures in the poolside floor that fix the lane ropes. These are kind of dangerous. I kicked one hard getting out of the pool and watched others trip or kick it.

Location to transport. No 371 Bus stops outside the hotel to the Richmond Train station. Free use of the new Spa facilities fantastic. Lap pool, hydro spa, sauna and outside tube pools. Staff extremely helpful.

If you are staying in rooms 33 34 be prepared for old type Victorian stairs to your room. In ssying that. The friendly staff will organise your 🎒 bags to your room. Very difficult for older people to manage. Gave our legs a workout. ** Ask for lower floors if your an older person or have a disability.

Boutique style, positive & relaxed vibe. lovely facilities and staff. The restaurant has a lovely ambience, terrace garden, light & airy and great food!

Some of the rooms e.g superior room I was in - nice room, comfy bed & disappointed window didn’t open to natural daylight. Hotel was awaiting bathrobes delivery for use in SPA so bring your own! In the foyer corner in sight of customers there were cleaning brushes and wet signs by archway & behind a table. I didn’t expect to see this & attention to detail speaks volumes, these could have easily being stored in a cupboard behind-along with the delivery of Harbour magazines!

Cleanliness throughout the hotel was of a very high standard. The Spa facilities (pool & gym), decor and furnishings, breakfast, dinner in the restaurant and room extras, such as the coffee machine and the gin, were all excellent. Also, the location was in easy reach of the River Thames and town centre. Staff were friendly, helpful and met our needs during our stay.

Subdued lighting in room was poor - there was only one bedside light - while the radio wasn't working and the mixer tap in the bathroom was loose. Parking was very restricted, especially as we stayed at the weekend.
