Amazing, Flawless. If you want a listed character building, in an idyllic village setting, with amazing accommodation, with the most amazing hosts, who place local produce everytime, and an amazingly hospitable local community - book here. Not only would I like to stay again - I absolutely will. Flawless, spotless, amazing. Thank you for making me so welcome. Oh and amazing for dogs. Dogtastically welcoming.

Spotlessly clean. Beautiful inn in a stunning village. The room was in a sensitively converted outbuilding - bags of character and ideal for a solo stay.

Nothing I didn't like. I didn't take breakfast as I eat very little in the morning, so the extra £10 didn't make sense for me. There was an option to have dinner at the bar when I arrived, but options very limited for vegetarians, so didn't make use of that either - but the room itself was just what I needed. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area. It's a lovely place, it's nice to wander around the village, and I had a great night's sleep. Staff affable and very helpful. It's a welcome change from the usual boxy hotels, and a much better experience.

Staff were welcoming and friendly and I really appreciated the early check in so we could change for a family wedding. Our room was spacious, very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The pub itself is just lovely and we had a delicious lunch before heading off to the wedding. Service was prompt and very reasonably priced.

The very short walk from the car park to the courtyard where the rooms are was sunlit. This wouldn’t have been a problem if my phone had t died, so I couldn’t use the torch app. It was very dark and rather unnerving.

Lovely welcome from the landlord especially the Real Ale on draught. The room was in the old stables block which was compact and enough for my needs. I did not have breakfast because of learning too early in the morning. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom, hot water on demand from the shower, plenty of tea, coffee etc. I ate in the pub and had - garlic bread with cheese (delicious) and home-made burger and proper chips (good value for money).

The towels could have been larger as they did not really wrap around me but they were very soft. I switched off the radiator in the bedroom as it was very hot, The pillows were a bit flat and hard but everyone is different.

The new owners went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble even though it was the opening night and very busy. Would certainly like to visit again.

The room was a little tired but fine for short stay. We were informed that it is being refurbished in the near future.

It's a small pub/family hotel on the country side, perfect for me as I needed a nice place to stay for one night. Staff is amazing, helpful and nice. The young lady really did her best to help me find a taxi in the morning, and the other brought me all the stuff I forgot in the room.

It was the hottest times of the year, a courtesy bottle of water in the room would have been appreciated. I was just too tired to get dressed again to leave the room and go ask for one.

The Plume of Feathers is as you see it, a quintessential and historical English pub in a lovely picturesque village. Off the beaten track, but close to major routes. Atmosphere friendly, well used by locals. Warm and genuine welcome by hosts, Emma, Gaz and team. Nothing too much trouble.

Nothing really.

Lovely little village location, rooms are situated off of the pub courtyard. The rooms were clean and compact yet had everything you need, bed, wardrobe, kettle with tea/coffee, clock and bathroom with mini toiletries. We called the day before our stay to discuss an earlier check in which we was able to have. We had a cab booked for an evening out and a member of staff came to our room to let us know it had arrived. We had a very pleasant stay.

The only negative was that the room next to us got up at 6.30am and we could hear their shower/toilet being flushed and their floorboards but it definitely wouldn’t put us off staying again.

Excellent breakfast and evening meal, good value for money. The room was very clean and tidy and our only negative would be what appeared to be a tea stain on the underside of the quilt cover but we got around that and turned it around.

Nothing major as we were more than happy with our stay and the only thing would be the extractor fan noise but we managed to get a good sleep.
