Days Inn Hotel Fleet

Days Motel, part of the Welcome Break chain of motorway services, is located just outside Fleet and Farnborough on the M3 (southbound, direction Southampton). The rooms are sizeable, with ensuite bathroom, plenty of storage space, and large beds. I liked the long desk, and the 32" TVs in the room. Decor is simple, and the bathroom fairly sizeable. Staff were helpful, and ample parking due to the motels own car park. The Booking.com said "no breakfast" but on arrival, the staff said they could give a voucher for breakfast in the services. All in, a functional place , useful as a stopover in the area. I based myself there for a fews days and apart from being located on the outskirts of Fleet, necessitating a journey into town involving a detour (see "dislike" box for more info), not a bad place to stay at all. Pretty similar to other chain motels/hotels. Fairly quiet as well given the location at the side of a main motorway. There are shops/eateries in the services so you don't have to travel far if you don't want to.

Not really a dislike, just a practical note. As the place is situated on the south bound side of the services, if you are heading north bound it's a 10 mile round trip to turn exit the services around at the next junction. If you are travelling northbound and are staying, the turnaround is shorter to get to the southbound services, so expect to do little bit more travelling if you want to get to the local towns of Fleet and Farnborough. Apart from that nothing to dislike.

On arrival I was met by a friendly member of staff at the reception desk. Check in was swift and car registration easy. The room was large and spacious which was great as I had travelled with a couple of dogs. Bathroom was spotless and so were the sheets on the bed. Decent stock of tea and coffee. Powerful fans had been provided in the room which was fantastic as the weather was hot, there was also a hair dryer.

The desk was a little dirty and the soap dispenser in the bathroom needed refilling but I used the hair and shower gel instead so it was ok.

The staff are very accommodating! they will help as much as they can! the bed was very comfortable and there was everything plus more in the room to make my stay as comfortable as possible!

i had breakfast included and the female staff at breakfast are not very accommodating. i asked for orange juice rather than a coffee and they said no, even tho the orange juice was a cheaper option. then one day one of my staff members asked for porridge, instead of a cooked breakfast which they didn’t want to do. the only reason they did was because this member of staff said that for the last 2 days it has been fine so I don’t see why its not today.

This hotel has become my go to place as it is very dog friendly, the rooms are big & roomy, double bed very comfortable, private bathroom with shower over the bath. The staff are welcoming & extremely helpful. Will be back. This is my dog sleeping contentedly in our room. As you can see there is plenty of space for much bigger dog breeds.

I didn't realise that I could use the staff exit to drive into the local area & was driving to the next motorway junction & back to the Farnborough exit. Although the staff entrance/exit has a no entry sign hotel guests can use this exit. Wish I had asked the question earlier. But it didn't ruin our stay.

We find all Days Inns to be very clean, comfortable and spacious and this one is no exception. In this hotel we were impressed with the window opening in our room. Although the opening was restricted, it was easy to alter for a much wider opening to suit which was an absolute bonus in the hot weather. Being set away from the services and motorway, we found it to be very quiet for a good night's sleep after a long journey. Cost is important to us and compared to other hotels in the area, this was by far the best value for money.

I was so super pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was exceptionally clean, comfortable and a great price. our family room was really well sized - enough room for 2 adults and 2 giddy children under 7 to move around /play with 2 full sized singles and a queen. Went way above my expectations for a really low budget hotel. Convenient for Windsor attractions such as Legoland, zoos and Lapland UK. If you just need somewhere to sleep for a night then you won't find a better place than this.

Nothing. It was perfect. Yes it's not the most luxurious, stylish place but for the price I couldn't fault it at all.

Quick, efficient check in. Nice friendly staff and ideal location as I was working in Fleet.

That I checked in on the machine for parking and yet a week later received two parking tickets from Parking Eye. I phoned Days Inn and they had these cancelled but they should never have been issued in the first place. Days Inn says it happens all the time !

Friendly staff. Exceptionally easy checking in and out. The room was clean and quiet. Ideal for a stopover.

I was a bit worried, having arrived in the dark, to discover a parking sign threatening a possible fine of £100 if I'd not got a ticket for anything over the free 2 hours. I never even saw the sign. We have Hiliday and Premier Inns locally which have free parking. Further investigation seems to indicate that my fears are groundless as I gave my registration number on checking in, meaning parking should be free. If this is the case, I think Days Inn is the very best value for money.

Really clean, liked the kids beds in the room, perfect! The staff were so good about the addition of our dog to the booking, so nice to have a friendly place to stay!

Unfortunately the booking app did the distance 'as the crow flies' from where we needed to be, it didn't account for the actual driving distance to get to this hotel and the town hall for our friends party. But that is more the fault of booking.com's distance tool than the hotel. It did put a bit of a damper on it...

The hotel is conveniently situated on a services which may not sound great but what was on offer there was good; Starbucks (Inc drive thru), Pizza Express, Chopstix noodle bar, Subway, Harry Ramsdens, WHSmith, M&S. I paid £76 on the bank holiday weekend when Reading festival was also going ahead and all other hotels near to where I was were booked up. It was a 25 min drive to the hotel but worth it. I had booked a family room for myself and my two sons (5 and 1.5y) and there was a large double bed plus two single futons, perfect for them with being low to the ground. I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable they were, and all round that there was that much space for us. Checkout was 11 which gave us time to get up and ready, out to one of the nearby places to eat in the services and back to get our stuff before checkout. Despite initially a bit of noise from other visitors, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful throughout the night. Free parking also and although there wasn't food available, there was a small seating area in reception as well as a couple of fridges for alcoholic beverages and soft drinks and a snack bar too. I felt it was pretty good value for money considering the busy weekend. I really didn't expect it to be as good as it was, I expected to be quite disappointed and was pleasantly surprised.

The bathroom was very basic, the shower could have been better. But it did the job! Also didn't spot a restaurant/breakfast area so we went into the services for breakfast. Not really a big deal though as it was nice to see what was on offer but some people may have preferred not to have to leave.
