SACO Aparthotel Farnborough

Loved the space and had fantastic sleeps and the bed was so comfy. Delighted our room was on the top floor and though a build up surbiton location felt so lucky the side of the building we occupied had a panoramic view of green tree tops and blue sky, it had loads of windows that opened only marginally but we had real fresh air.

Glass table too small for foodies like us - part of the reason for choosing the venue was to be able to prepare own food from source but it was difficult to serve up full meals on the limited table space. We did manage though so not a deal breaker. The very narrow bath and the shower head too low - we might be an exception but I'm 5' 10" and husband 6' 2" and I had to crouch down under the shower head to wash and condition my hair. The shower was okay if just showering but a tad awkward doing the full hair clean. ...and no shower cap supplied I forgot mine so missed this sometime included service provided in other establishments.

The room we had was quiet, so had a really good night sleep. The staff at these apartments are excellent and always have been. I did notice that another company have now purchased these apartments, and I just hope that the standards stay the same as all too often when a new company takes over an existing business, standards slip and prices rise.

The cleaning service was not so good this time, as have stayed at these apartments lots of times. Cleaning of rooms were done much more frequent on previous stays, but this time we arrived on a Monday and left on a Sunday and the room does not get cleaned now only for longer stays. The plug in the Kitchen sink was disgusting and either needs a deep clean or replacement. There was also one night that it got cold and had to put hot air con on as the radiator in lounge was not working. As it was the only night that we needed extra warmth, I never informed the staff of this issue.

A spacious room with all the equipment you would need to self cater, 2 televisions and a light airy feel about the property. The doorman I dealt with was most helpful and the accommodation is in a convenient central location. There were a number of small maintainance issues that needed attention with items that were not working. I raised mention of these and received a thank you for telling them and was assured that they would be addressed. I felt that my issues were taken seriously even thought they were minor, though being there only one night meant that I did not see what action was taken..

Parking is limited. I got a space when I arrived but did not feel comforable about moving my car as I might not have been able to get back in even though I had paid.

-We really enjoyed the stay at your apartment hotel during British Motor Show. It was easy to go to its venue. -Farnborough station is close: it was convenient. A good supermarket too in the vicinity. -Your staff members were friendly. -We liked the space and facilities of the room we stayed. -Wifi is in good condition. We would like to stay again in the future.

-We wish the dishwasher was clean. I would like to suggest that kitchen paper/towel to be provided. It would be very helpful. - parking space is good but one night we couldn’t find a bay.

Clean, tidy spacious apartment in a great location, plenty of places to eat nearby or Sainsburys around to the corner if you want to cook for yourself. Friendly welcoming staff. Very comfortable bed. A/C in main rooms

Parking bays need to be marked up as some people almost abandoned there cars in the middle of 2 spaces making if difficult for others to park. Though double glazed the building does suffer from very heavy traffic noise due to its location (though this never affected my sleep and they do kindly provide ear plugs if you wish..)

The staff were extremely friendly especially a lady called Keziah. We had asked for an additional fan for our room and Keziah messaged us to say that we could collect it from reception or she would drop it up to our room for us.

We didn't realise that some of the parking spaces were reserved for the local Premier Inn as we reversed into the space and it was dark. We got up the next morning to a notice saying our number plate was being passed on to parking enforcement officers. Might be an idea for staff to say to guests when they are checking in to make sure and park in designated bays. Lesson learned. However one of the staff members were able to ring the Premier in and get the misunderstanding cleared up.

located next to a Sainsbury’s, McDonald’s, Witherspoons, a steakhouse & a couple of other restaurants nearby! Tanning studio across the road and a cinema just up the road. Free onsite parking. We couldn’t fault the apartment for cleanliness and the facilities were fantastic! Fully equipped kitchen with plates, pans, cutlery, cups, fridge, toaster, microwave, fresh towels, WiFi, power shower, comfy bed, tv, long mirror etc. Friendly & helpful staff! Close to train station as well. I was able to make us breakfast each morning by getting food from the nearby Sainsbury’s but Witherspoons was very cheap for food nearby if on a budget.

I actually could not fault it

The staff was excellent, in place and awaiting my late arrival. I could see him there behind the desk before the taxi could stop to drop me off. I was so relieved at that moment. After a really long day and night of flight mishaps, no airport hotels and no rooms available, I booked luckily one the last rooms at SACO. The lovely gentleman had everything ready for me, handed me my room key, directions to elevator and quick property information. Then kindly and efficiently booked me an early morning taxi that I could return to Heathrow for my flight. Then he wished me a good night sleep, which I indeed had as the bed was very comfortable.

Being there for a short over night stay I found no issues.

The location of the apartment hotel was very good. The staff was really great! I booked two room types online and when we arrived we realised that the rooms would not be on the same floor. The staff (a very nice man whose name I can't remember) very kindly offered us a solution and gave us rooms next to each other and upgraded us. We were travelling with children and really appreciated this gesture! Thank you so much!

The only downside, in my opinion, is the cleanliness, which can be improved. Also note that depending on the location of your room there can be quite a bit of noise from outside.

Great location and easy to get to

The fridge was dirty. The floors were dirty. Based on my socks, I can tell the floors are not mopped or vacuum cleaned regularly. There were hairs in corners and on the sofas. The bath tap seems jammed, and we couldn't use it. We couldn't use the heaters either. The sink drain is filthy. They need to be cleaned with a pipe brush. I stripped the bedding, the pillows do not have pillow protectors, and they have stains all over.
