Bob and Joe were such friendly, welcoming and attentive hosts - something my friend and I both really appreciated. The B&B was cheerful, bright and clean. Our bedroom was spacious and comfortable and had a view across greenery towards the sea in the distance. The breakfast was fresh, tasty and the portions were generous. There was plenty of variety with everything from fruit, yoghurt and cereal to a hearty, cooked breakfast - something we really appreciated before our long walks on the coast path every day. A 15 minute stroll takes you to Readymoney Cove - a beautiful, sheltered bay, perfect for swimming. From there, it's a short walk to the shops and cafes in the centre of Fowey. I would definitely stay at Trethewey Guest House if I visit the area again.

Bob and his son were very welcoming. It was nice to be able to enjoy a cup of tea in the garden when we arrived before going on to explore Fowey. The house was about a mile from the centre of town but we enjoyed our walk down through the woods to the cove and even walked back up again after our evening meal. They also kindly safely stored our eBikes overnight.The twin room was clean, and everything worked. Breakfast was excellent.

Our room was rather small, as was the ensuite bathroom needing a folding door to let you in. We could have done with a couple of hooks to hang our towels up after a shower.

The location was quiet and perfect for us as we were visiting a friend, but it was quite a walk from the town and beach - however there are frequent local buses to the town. The room was clean and cosy, the owners very friendly, breakfast excellent.

The twin room needed more facilities for two females together - such as a bigger mirror, and more hooks/rails to hang wet towels, and hooks in the bathroom for clothes/towels when showering. The fan was very clackety in the night from the strong winds blowing through it. An extra mirror was swiftly supplied when we asked.

My partner and I had a fantastic stay here. Bob and Joe were amazing hosts, very welcoming and accommodating and gave the place a very 'home from home' vibe which just added extra warmth to the place, not forgetting Dexter of course. The location into Fowey itself is perfect and just a short distance away from other surrounding areas of interests such as Par Beach, St. Austell and the Eden Project to name a few. I would highly recommend the Trethewey Guest House to anyone wishing to visit this part of the country and once again the biggest of thanks to Bob and Joe for their part in what was one of the best visits to Cornwall we've had.

Rob and Joe the hosts could not do enough for us , brilliant service and an excellent breakfast provided , room was spotless and although compact comfortable, also parking outside which is important in Cornwall.

Bit of a trek into the town , ok for us as it was a 35 minute walk, probably not so good for the elderly or anyone with a health condition because of the very steep hills,you can book a local taxi though at £5.

Everything was very friendly and nothing too much trouble, and we were offered useful advice on getting around. Room was clean, airy and welcoming. There was a pretty little Japanese garden we could sit in to relax in the sun, easily accessed. Breakfast was straightforward and cooked breakfast very good. Property was a little out of town but easy to get to, with parking, which is quite a plus in Fowey where the centre doesn't have cars.

This has to be one of the best, if not the best, guesthouse we have stayed in. It seemed that nothing was too much trouble for Robert and his son, Joe. They were friendly and welcoming right from the start when we requested to arrive in the morning, prior to checking-in time, in order to leave our car at their establishment. There was a good selection of food for breakfast and the cooked breakfasts, both meat and vegetarian, were delicious. There was a lovely garden area at the back of the house with water feature and comfortable seating for the guests use.

The team were so incredibly helpful and accomodating from the word go, providing maps and suggestions on how to get to the best spots in the local area, as well as allowing us to check into our room early which was much appreciated. It's a lovely guest house in a great location, with a fab little path down to Readymoney Cove just around the corner. Breakfast was delish too! We were only there for the one night but we couldn't have been better welcomed and looked after, made our brief stopover in Fowey a real treat. We'll definitely be back if we end up in Fowey again!

Nothing we didn't like!

Robert and Joe are excellent hosts. They are very welcoming and give advice about the local area. The property is immaculate and the rooms are well equipped.

The property is close to the centre of Fowey, but it’s quite a steep walk back to the guest house. The walk is more pleasant if you use the footpath , but this isn’t suitable for walking when it’s dark.

Amazing hosts, so friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. The garden is so beautiful and a lovely place for relaxing after a day in Fowey. The property also has lovely family touches that made it feel homely. It was spotlessly clean and nicely furnished with homely and interesting touches, and a fabulous breakfast!
