Location was fabulous. The room had a fab view. Bed was comfy. The massages in the spa were great but expensive.

Location was fabulous. The room had some hairs, possibly from a dog on the chair and the bathroom mirror light was half missing/broken. The breakfast was a let down as the food was cold. We sent it back and the replacement was still cold food but served on a hot plate. We asked for marmalade but the manager didn't appear with any, he was running around ordering stff around, then we were asked to move out the dining room whilst still eating because they had to clear the room, we walked past the room half an hour later and they still hadn't cleared the room. Am glad we ate out for dinner bearing in mind how bad the quality was of the breakfast. The massages were great but expensive.

Location is superb and the grounds were idyllic. So peaceful. Loved the terrace for a drink. Found the staff friendly and personable. The food was good, and the decor was lovely. Good wifi and nice free parking. Would stay again even if the price was at the very top end of what the hotel can feasibly get away with.

No bathrobe in room as stated. No water in my room but was in my friends room. Rooms were numerically next to each other but not in the same section of the building. Breakfast was nice but initially a little sparse - not a four star breakfast. Staff were really nice people but perhaps a little more training to develop their abilities to anticipate..... numerous small, insignificant holes in their knowledge or management was interesting to observe. Coffee sachets in room were tasteless. These little things did not detract from our stay but may make a difference to other guests with higher expectations.

Generally a very elegant if sometimes slightly in need of renovation Listed building in large treed grounds. Very well-appointed room with excellent quality bed, sheets and towels etc. Large and comfortable bathroom with heated floor and towel rail, double basins, walk-in rain shower. Overall under-stated ambience. Good breakfast with delightful staff. The day duty manager was particular pleasant and attentive.

Dinning room service slightly erratic and lacking in finesse. Same menu over two nights (I would recommend having a menu fixe with a few options rather than the current a la carte menu). The mix of old building and modern furnishings can jar at times and does not do justice to the building, in fact the Dinning Room is the most successful space as it is the least contemporary in furnishings.

Attractive hotel. Nice room. Very clean. Decent shower with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Comfortable bed. Very good breakfast. Very helpful friendly staff.

I was woken up at 6:58 by the Grundon bin lorry outside my open window. This lorry was followed by numerous other delivery vehicles all morning up until I checked out at 10:30. If you don't want to wake up early or be disturbed by deliveries then don't stay in room 33!! Its windows are the two on the right of my photo.

After a long day getting soaked in the pouring rain we could not have wished for a more beautiful location. Firstly we could not help to notice the most beautiful grounds and setting on the long drive up to the hotel. The receptionist gave a us a warm reception and was extremely welcoming . We were directed to a beautiful room that looked as if it had just been renovated , it was spotless , warm , cosy , inviting and it was absolutely faultless . The furniture was clean and immaculate and the shower was to die for!! The bar staff were pleased to see us and nothing was too much of a problem, and their service was excellent. I would like to highlight our breakfast , it was far more than what you would expect and some. The breakfast staff again were nothing more than delightful to us and gave us excellent service! We were late to leave the following day and the staff were so kind to us and they gave us that little bit more time to leave our room without any complaint. All in all guys you made our trip extra special and I rarely write reviews but felt you ALL deserve it !! You have a great team and it shows!!!! We are booking a 2 night stay at the end of November and already can’t wait to go back to this wonderful retreat.

- Breakfast was more average than expected. Would be nicer to have fresh tea and coffee offered rather than having to get from flasks - Expected some more bathroom amenities, considering how nice the bath is. Would have been nice to have some more to use for two people

We have a lovely stay at Barnett's Hill. It isn't the cheapest, but the rooms were great and we were able to bring our dog which was always a bonus. The staff were friendly, the room comfortable, and the grounds were really nice too. Our bed was huge, and the bathroom had a heated floor which was a very unexpected and welcome situation! We had dinner and breakfast, and on both occasions the food and service was great. Dog bowls, a bed, and some treats were also provided to keep our pet comfortable, and we were able to take her into the bar area with us (so we ate in there instead of the restaurant, but that was absolutely fine with us!) The local area is very nice too, and we were able to go out for a couple of walks that were really pleasant. Had a great stay and would highly recommend if you want a quiet night away.

The Barnett Hill Hotel is on a beautiful country estate. Our room was very well appointed. We had breakfast and dinner there and the food was delicious and of a high quality. All of the Staff who we interacted with were professional, courteous and friendly.

Our pillows were very high and we both woke several times during the night and in the morning with a sore and stiff neck. We told the Staff on Reception when we were leaving and they were very gracious and told us they would put our concerns on the daily report.

it’s a great location. the staff were very friendly which was lovely as it was over Christmas. they may us feel very welcome. It also takes dogs ! this was very helpful! The dog had a sticking left for her on Christmas morning ! She loved it as you can see from the photo!! It was quite funny !!

If I had to say anything - it would be to observe that the cozy doubles … really are cozy ! Quite small! The singles were a bit utilitarian in appearance but they both were well kept, clean and well looked after.

beautiful property in the Surrey hills. Really well looked after with lovely gardens and modern rooms. We were in the courtyard rooms which were a short walk away from the main building which was nice to have as super peaceful. overall we would really recommend this hotel for couples looking for a nice country escape close to London! we hear the spa is exceptional too!

we didn’t include breakfast in our stay and then decided to add it last minute. well, we sat down at the table but realised it was £14 for continental and £18 for cooked breakfast so decided to pass. if included in the rate we’re sure it’s lovely but buyers beware if you’re adding it on 😬
