Hurtwood Hotel

Breakfast was outstanding and you could choose as many dishes as you would like. The staff was super friendly and accomomodating. The enclosed pub had gluten free options too and it was delicious. The provided a cot for our little baby and fixed any issues promtply. Parking was easy as well in the courtyard. Location is really good and you can hike up or bike up within 2 min. Overall it was an easy stay which made our vacation just so much more perfect. Thanks to the Hurtwood Hotel staff. You are amazing!

It looks a tiny bit worn but this is just a minor aspect. They did such a great job to make up for it so dont be put off by that at all. We would def stay there again. We loved it.

Lovely pub/hotel in the beautiful Surrey countryside. Rooms are smallish but well-appointed and everything was very clean. The restaurant food was excellent - well prepared and presented and very fresh.

At breakfast we were disappointed at the quality of the food and above all by the slowness of the service. There were only 9 people in the restaurant but the service was erratic and slow with dishes coming in a strange order. One other small thing was that there was nowhere to plug in the hairdryer near a mirror that didn't involve crawling under a table to unplug the coffee machine. The breakfast experience was the only real thing that spoiled an otherwise excellent stay.

Room was very good. Comfortable with everything I needed and with an extra large very comfortable bed. Shower was over bath but was excellent, very powerful The food was outstanding. I had Seafood Spaghetti which was awesome - very substantial with loads of seafood and extremely tasty. Breakfast was great too. All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially Georgia who seemed to have a hand in everything

This hotel was the nearest one on Booking to where I was working so was handy for me but the hotel is several miles from a main road The village of Peaslake is surrounded by hilly single track roads with overhanging tree cover so it was a bit like driving through tunnels when coming and going. It got a little hairy when locals (who obviously knew the area) were coming in the opposite direction at a rate of knots! Take care on the local roads

Nice country inn in a beautiful small village. Great atmosphere. I had a large room with all usual amenities you would expect in this type of hotel. Comfortable bed. There was some noise from the pub, but the pub closes at 11 and it is quiet afterwards. Wifi worked OK. The cooked breakfast was great, you can skip lunch that day :) Hotel parking was small, but we could always find a space.

There was not much to complain about. The only annoying thing was that the tap in the bathroom could not be fully closed and was leaking all the time.

The check-in was very helpful and informative. The room was lovely for such a place, everything very clean and fresh. The breakfast was a wonderful unique selection. The area so lovely. Discovered the nice church and went on a wonderful walk.

The pub next door had loud rock music blaring at all times. It is the only place to eat and drink after breakfast. They have lovely food but eating dinner with Aerosmith at full volume made it hard for us to have a thoughtful conversation. I understand having rock music at the bar, but why it has to be in the dining room as well is beyond me. I asked them to turn it down several times and by the end they were just annoyed with me even though I am spending my hard-earned money there day and night. Luckily their music can not be heard in the room.

from the outside this cute little village pub/hotel but inside the rooms was modern with a little country decoration and so felt quite luxurious

these are small things, so the check in times is 3-8pm but people have things to do so check in been strict, I was called multiple times regarding giving a time. but when I got there the staff member told me he stays on the property so not to worry. the tv in the room is in the living room area and does extend slightly so only one person in bed could watch tv but that’s not really too much of an issue. really liked the place so not any real issues

Location was beautiful. Car parking very handy. Shower in our room was refreshingly powerful

Had meal during the evening, staff very rushed. Breakfast in the morning, booked earliest a lot at 08.00. Again staff panicked at being short staffed. Waited over half an hour to receive breakfast order, which we had to rush and not finish due to needing to leave the hotel by 09.00. Shame as food was lovely, would have been nice if we’d been able to take our time to enjoy it Esther than rushing it and leaving it.

We loved the warm welcome, exceptional staff at every turn. The young team have been exceptionally well mentored by passionate thoughtful experienced managers. The bar team are energetic and very helpful without overwhelming. The breakfast team are superb. Calm, quiet, respectful and well steered by a superb calm manageress of the floor. The chef is clearly very special indeed. Superb skills. The ambience suited us well for a one night stopover for walking. we will be back!!

Ok so i missed the fact that this is a doggy friendly hotel. No problem with that at all in fact some canines are entertaining, others though can be a bit yappy which is not my personal favourite tune.

Incredibly welcoming staff and very accommodating to ones needs. Excellent breakfast, great parking space. Excellent place to park. The sleep was really good with comfy beds. I had an overnight conference which went extremely well. The room was well lit with great Internet connection

I have a phobia for spiders so there were a few large spiders in the first room but the staff was extremely helpful and gave me a new room which was great and sorted the issue. The staff was extremely understanding and kind so no issues. A minor think would be a little hard to find the car parking space but the pub adjacent pointed out the location quite well.

My wife & I stayed here for our wedding night 45 years ago and planned this visit for our anniversary. The hotel is as delighful as it was in 1978 but has had significant modernisation since then. Fantastic location with easy access to Pitch Hill and beautiful surrounding area.

Food was great and served quickly but orders got a bit muddled for evening meal & breakfast as quite busy. No drinking water in the room but was immediately provided on request to bar staff.
