The Red Lion Hotel0

The room was lovely and spacious. We had the first room so was close to the bar and car park. We even had 2 free drinks given for booking our stay at the red lion. The breakfast was lovely the next morning too! We also got 10% off drinks and food when using the bar and restaurant there. Great perks I’ve never had at any other b&bs before. Also loved how the rooms supplied still and a Sparkling water. We were also provided with a glass bottle of milk for tea and coffee rather than those tiny shot sachets you normally get in hotels! Lovely selection of cookies and biscuits in the room too.

Nothing we didn’t like!!

Lovely location and suitable for Heathrow airport and our family's home. Reception efficient and welcoming. Lovely touch was the complimentary drink in the bar which was serving lovely food judging by the smells. Twin room very comfortable. Bed mattress medium soft and cosy. Bathroom clean and plenty of towels. TV good size. Tea and coffee and biscuits in room. Quiet environment and slept well. Efficient check out.

Not a complaint but an observation - we came down at 0945am for breakfast (our fault) and it was very busy. The continental buffet was pretty sparse at that stage but was replenished somewhat while we were there. Out hot food was delicious. Egg's benedict and an extra sausage. Coffee very good. Suggestion - 1. get a decent machine for coffee and hot water burco for tea. Leave cups teabags and milk beside machine. We can do it ourselves then. 2. Put Toaster in breakfast room and we can do that ourselves also. 3. Leave breakfast menu on table to save the waiting staff walking back and forward. We will definitely be back to stay.

Staff was very pleasant and welcoming room was lovely clean quite no noise from pub or road the rooms could be cleaned at later time instead of early morning there always someone cleaning rooms there option of food and breakfast on site and the pub aloud kids and dogs in was in good location to different places bus stops near by

Not much that we didn't like only thing I found really was when we first got there they asked if we stayed before I said no but they didn't explain that the lights work with the door card you have to slot it in the box by door for lights to work so we got to the room nothing worked it was late when we got there so very dark when to say about they changed us rooms but still didn't explain about how to make lights work And the only other thing is the door card sometime would nit work so had keep going down to front desk to sort so we can get in the room but they was always helpful otherwise great

The staff were extremely helpful & the room was perfect, had a lovely selection of tea & coffee along with an actual bottle of milk in the fridge instead of the usual small sachets (that was a winner for me). There was 10% off all drinks & meals in the pub, along with a free drink on arrival for each guest. All these extra touches made for a very pleasant stay. We stayed for the weekend & travelled to Wembley for the football each day. A short trip on the 427 bus was very easy to reach Uxbridge for the underground. Bus stops right by hotel. We will definitely return to The Red Lion.

The hotel and the restaurant are beautiful, and its historical ambience was pleasant and also a surprise (Henrietta Maria room given to us)

Unable to sleep properly during the night, in Henrietta Maria Room -- unfortunately so. There were footsteps above us, the wooden floors of the old house did not help, the creaking etc, we could no longer sleep as the customer above was seemed to be pacing up and down the room. It was upsetting. ps Your coffee machine, as nice as it looks, is a challenge, shall we say? an innocent customer, not used to the small coffee capsules and how to insert them (there are no instructions) and how to make the machine produce proper coffee and not just hot water, is surely going to be very frustrated., just as we were. By the time we had discovered a way to manage the machine, all capsules of coffee had been used up. It was funny.

As soon as you walk in, staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious with an en suite bathroom. There was a large tv, tea/coffee making facilities with a selection of artisan coffees, chocolates/biscuits. Also in the room there was an iron and ironing board, a mini fridge with water inside, a safe, two mirrors, plenty of power points and also usb ports. This is by far the nicest room I've stayed in! The food is excellent too, oh and you get a free drink at the bar! There's plenty of room to park my large vehicle too which is usually a problem at other accommodations. Thank you to all the staff for making my stay such an enjoyable experience.

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

I hate superfluous adjectives but I absolutely loved this hotel for the kick of old world charm. I felt like I was in a well maintained hotel from the 90s. The little quirks and luxuries we miss in modern day hotels like artisanal coffee, water in the room, large mirrors, quirky informative artwork, mini fridge, large bathroom with bath tub, old school phone with reception on dial, carpets, trouser press (love seeing these though I never use them). The staff were lovely and accommodating.

I couldn't find anything to fault for what was on offer.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was spacious, comfortable and equipped with everything you need. The restaurant served great food and the breakfast is all you need to set you up for the day. It also has a lovely beer garden which is perfect for a quick nightcap, or two, before bed !!! Location is good and easy to get to, parking was also quite easy, all in all a great experience, will certainly be returning in the future. Thank you all at the Red Lion, Hillingdon.

Nothing to dislike.

The red lion is the British cozy hotel you imagine. It is an old building with lovely details and decorations. On top the staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is extensive and includes some fruits and sweet pastry besides the typical British breakfast. Furthermore it starts at 7 during the week which is perfect when you have to catch an early flight at the nearby Heathrow airport. I slept very well after my hot chocolate served at the bar joining British residents and their lovely conversation (every hotel guest gets one drink for free). Totally recommend

The heating didn’t work flawlessly but the bed sheets were warm so it didn’t bother me.

Room was lovely; bed extremely comfortable; staff were incredible - really friendly and helpful. Disabled access (I’m a wheelchair user) was very good too. We chose to have dinner and drinks in the pub one evening and the food was great too. It was great value for money. And free parking too!

The only slight down point was the perpetual noise from a generator (I think?), which was very audible from our room. It didn’t ruin the stay by any means; nor did it prevent us sleeping (ear plugs!).
