Best Western Claydon Hotel

Friendly prompt service from all staff especially Lucie who found us alternative room due to our disability issues and Frank both went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The Ala Carte meal ( Posh Nosh) was exceptional and on par with any 5* Restaurant very reasonably priced. The conservatory and dining room were very comfortable and had good atmosphere. The Dining room staff were polite and attentive but never pushy and were happy to serve us in the conservatory.

On arrival room was not ready, was given an alternative immediately this wasn't suitable due to our disabilities so upgraded to a room with disabled facilities which was very much appreciated.

Service was excellent and polite. Bedroom was large, clean and spotless. Bed was very comfortable (medium softness bed). Shower and WC facilities good. The only negative was no handrails in the bath which, when taking shower, I feel is really important. Breakfast was fabulous and again the team were wonderful so overall for a 3 star this is a great hotel. Location wise it serves a purpose of being fairly close to Ipswich and the new industrial site being built and halfway ish between Norwich and London

The room was really nice with plenty of space for 2 people. A very comfortable bed with soft linens. Cleaned to a very high standard too with daily housekeeping if we wanted it. Breakfast was plentiful and very nicely cooked with continental too if you desired. Really well presented and tasty!

We was asked whenever we passed reception if we would be dining with them but there was no prices on the restaurant menu and that set alarm bells ringing… the bar menu was really expensive so that was enough to put us off. On the plus side there is a greene king (hungry horse) establishment literally over the road so all was good in the end!

The room I had was comfortable and met my needs well particularly that it was on the ground floor. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and the food was good. The hotel was well placed to where I was working and was easily accessible with good parking.

The air conditioning unit was a bit battered but still worked well enough. I noted some dust behind some of the furniture but other than these minor details, I had a pleasant stay and will book again when next working in the area.

From the help we had from the staff member when booking, the friendly welcome we were made to feel at home immediately. The room was comfortable and well appointed and clean. Both the evening meals and breakfasts were a step above the norm too. Eat here and not the pub opposite! Best of all were the staff, they really made our weekend. Thank you to Donna and Marina. And the bar serves good Adnams and Camden beers! Good value too.

With the windows open you can hear the A14, but to be expected as so easy to get to. Ambient lighting in the room could be improved.

A really nice little hotel.Very welcoming receptionist.Our room was a little cold,but soon warmed up when we got the heater going.Breakfast was excellent,lots of choice on the buffet table,and a lovely full English served.We will definitely be back!

The shower was a bit tricky to adjust,and it seemed to be angled awkwardly.Only a minor thing.And we didn't want to pay the car park fee,so we parked in the road opposite.Don't think it's right that residents should pay to park!!

We stayed at this hotel last year for a work trip in Framlingham and was pleasantly surprised to see the lovely receptionist Marina there to greet us. This lady is a credit to the company. The same smiling, welcoming 'will do anything to help you' attitude from her was still present on this recent visit. She is wondeful! The manager (sorry, cant remeber his name) was also lovely. He remembered us from our last visit. These little things mean a lot. We'll definitely be booking again next year! xx

Nothing to not like!

The air-conditioning in the room! EV charging facility. Clean & comfortable. All of the staff were friendly & helpful.

A14 is close by & very audible (but shutting the windows kept the sound out). One of the bedbases was squeaky and the bath was squeaky to when you were showering. Lack of a biscuit selection to go with the tea/coffee in the room

Lady on reception when we arrived was delightful and helpful and definitely deserves a bonus! Room was perfectly fine, TV was loaded with everything! Suggestion would be hanging the bathroom door on the right to make access easier? Breakfast very good.

You are always going to struggle with the competition from the Crown across the road as regards food/drink so the hotel bar/restaurant was desperately quiet.

nice building, lots of easy parking at the back. rooms nice and comfy and clean. on our early arrival we were met with a happy and warm smile from the duty manager on reception and from two members of staff on duty. these two young ladies are a credit to the hotel. however the member of staff Alex, who was on duty in the evening was exceptional! he couldn't do enough. not just for us but for the very large group who were also staying at the hotel.
