The location was awesome stunning views over the hills and out to sea, Peter and Ann were both very lovely and went above and beyond what i expected even giving me a lift to ferryside train station, which was much appreciated, the breakfast was excellent and tasty, and the room was huge could of gotten three people in there easily, i will be recommending to my friends, great place to chill out and relax and kidwelly is pretty close if you fancy a pint or two and of course the place is full of history including a pretty good castle

Only bad part for me is getting there if you dont have a car took me about half hour walk up a pretty steep hill, so best come by car/bike or taxi but then again if you like walking you'll be fine

The room we were given was a really spacious converted loft with everything we could wish for, including a microwave, fold away table, armchairs, a selection of books, homemade shortbread and Welsh cakes, and, best of all as so few places provide this, a fridge. Breakfast was also outstanding. As well as the usual things on offer, there were fresh berries, homemade bread and various alternatives to "a full English (or Welsh)" such as smoked salmon and scrambled eggs or, my choice, Welsh rarebit, which was delicious. The cherry on the cake was the little pots of jam. I know it's a small thing, but I am always so disappointed when I stay somewhere and they've gone all out on providing a great room and other aspects of breakfast, but they then penny pinch when it comes to the jam and provide those tasteless plastic tubs of Hartleys or some such. None of that here. Instead we were given what I assume was locally produced jam bursting with sweet fruity flavour. This was how bed and breakfast should be done.

My car struggled up the hill to get there, and, on my morning run, so did I: 1500m up the road from Kidwelly, with an average of an 8% gradient. Then again, being at the top of a hill made for a great view, and I guess the run was good training, so swings and roundabouts. Other than that, and the weather, which I can't really hold against them, everything was great.

Peter and Ann were perfect hosts! They were very friendly and welcoming and made great recommendations on where to eat and what to do during our stay. They very clearly took pride in their farmhouse, with the room being decorated in a cozy, homely way. It was clean and presentable. The ensuite had lovely big towels, a shower with good water pressure and temperature, a rubber grippy mat for the shower floor as well as some spare loo rolls! The room even had a mini fridge and a microwave which was unexpected and very useful! The room also had the usual tea making facilities - kettle, tea bags, coffee sachets but also cappuccino and hot chocolate sachets which were a nice touch. There were also two homemade Welsh cakes and shortbread biscuits which were a lovely touch.

There was only one thing that could have made a perfect room just that bit extra - the window to the left of the bed, facing out to the car park, did not have a black out blind, so we were woken up by the sun coming through. Although, that actually worked in our favour as we probably would have missed breakfast! On the point of breakfast, my partner had the full Welsh breakfast and said the bacon and sausage could have been cooked a little bit more.

Kidwelly Farmhouse is ideally situated for walking the Coast Path. It is set on an elevated position, with lovely views of the sea and Welsh countryside. The hosts, Peter and Ann are very welcoming and very helpful. The little touches of home baked shortbread and Welsh cakes left in your room on a daily basis, are a treat. Bottles of water are also left in your fridge. Breakfast is of a high standard and lots of choice is available. Would definitely recommend the Kidwelly Farmhouse to family and friends.

Leaving after a lovely, relaxing short stay.

Great location, close to the beach, the town and to one of the best pubs we've lately been enjoying (The Old Moathouse in Kidwelly). We got a room in the house's loft, it was very large, but warm, and well equipped with everything you may need, including books, magazines and board games. The bed was very comfy, plenty of clean towels in the bathroom. An unexpected, but pleasant bonus was the sound of the rain rapping on the roof, which added to the charm of spending the night here. We had a nice breakfast with plenty of English or Welsh choices, served by our gracious hosts.

Friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast with home made bread. Welsh cake and Shortcake in our room. Very quiet rural location with very good views. Our room had extra seating, fridge, microwave, cutlery and plates which is more then a normal B&B. This gave us flexibility as you can also order in a takeaway. Good on site parking. Good location for visiting castle, the Welsh botanical gardens and walking. Did I mention the fantastic breakfast. Will be back again.

Only a very small thing, I would have liked more head room in the shower.

We loved everything about this farmstay. We stayed in the attic room which was very spacious, comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. The property is a historic, working farm with a number of accommodation options. It is situated elevated on a hill with great views. The hosts are friendly and helpful with suggestions for things to do and places to eat in the surrounding villages The traditional Welsh breakfast was lovely. We really enjoyed exploring Kidwelly Castle.

A very warm welcome from Peter and Ann to their beautiful farmhouse situated just west of Kidwelly. Spacious accommodation, comfy bed and a good shower were appreciated along with the drinks provisions (topped up daily), refrigerator and especially the homemade Welsh Cakes which were a lovely touch. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked with eggs from the farm chickens and homemade bread. We felt treated like family and Peter and Ann were also very helpful with suggestions of places to eat and visit. The lovely garden, animals nearby and views over to the Gower all contributed to a special stay.

Nothing at all although it's worth noting that the location is rural (about a mile outside the town?) so having a car certainly helped for getting about.

The bed was insanely comfortable. 2 of us shared and we had sooo much room to spread out. The bath was insane and water piping hot. The room had amazing views of both the sunrise and the sunset. Breakfast was on point every morning and the room fully restocked daily if we needed Even the farm dog was gorgeous, we loved our daily kisses from him x

Noise from neighbouring room was a little iffy at times but nothing to much and everything else was to such a high standard it didn't really matter

Very pleasant rural setting with plenty to see and do in the area. Host was very helpful and informative. Accommodation was a typical Welsh farmhouse; we were in the "rafters" which gave an excellent view of the surrounding countryside. Large room with low beams (not a problem to me) and ensuite bath/shower room also safe on-site parking. Very good generous breakfast.

Can't think of anything to moan about apart from the sofa being rather uncomfortable. Also, a couple of small coffee tables would be helpful to plonk your drink on whilst watching TV to reading.
